  1. Curious. Do you see Josh Allen's 2019 season as far better or far worse than Stafford's 2019 season? Originally, I figured you were insinuating that Stafford was far better. From a career perspective, JA has a few years to go to catch Stafford. I personally think JA is one of the five best young QBs in the NFL and his arrow is pointing up still.
  2. Killer schedule. Besides the four primetime games, there is some good news: * No games against teams coming off bye, but the Bills play LAC week 10 after a bye. * No games against teams coming off a mini-bye, but the Bills play NYJ week 7 after playing KC. * Thursday night game is at home following @TENN. Remember the days where the Bills would face several teams coming off bye or mini-bye each year? It happened for more than a couple years in a row. I'm not sure how much say each front-office has in the overall schedule, but I have a feeling the change is in part due to coach MD's competitive spirit compared to his predecessors and other coaches around the league.
  3. Let's see, to have an explosive offense I feel you need: Enough good WRs so that the primary receiver gets open regularly on any given play and the others are generally open as well. A line that doesn't blow up more than a few plays per game and that can block for short yardage runs. A quarterback that is a play maker and durable. At least two playmakers besides the quarterback that are a threat to score or have multiple long gains each drive. Better to have three. Ability to adapt and counterpunch by executing screens and draws and such to combat pressure packages. It would be a pleasant surprise if we take a large leap in the rankings, but it can happen. We have most of the ingredients. And Yes, Brown can win enough against #2 CBs to be effective.
  4. To me the closest comparison is Carlos Dunlap. Should be fun to watch him and root for him over the next few years.
  5. Thank you, very well written! The Bills have found a really nice balance between drafting for need, finding value, and finding guys that they scouted and feel good about.
  6. He was a top talent. Since then, knee and back surgeries introduced concern. And his handling of the "one thing you would change about yourself" question at the combine shows poor decision making and immaturity. We'll see what happens.
  7. If BB/NE succeed and TB/TB fail this year, that would be a plausible conclusion.
  8. Curious, who did you have them taking in the 3rd, if not Moss?
  9. Fournette has 1 year left on his contract. A team that is position for picking up comp picks in 2022 will likely get an extra mid rounder then. So if the Bills like him on a $4M one year rental, it's not a bad trade for a late round pick this year. Yannick is a good player, no doubt, but perhaps he's not worth both a top draft pick as well as top dollar.
  10. Quick, someone get on the phone with his agent and get him a $5M signing bonus before he decides that he is really not that into playing football any longer.
  11. Several inaccurate / sub par throws. Some wind. Some good coverage. Some pressure. Some playing extra conservative to avoid the pick. Diggs would have caught 50% of those. ?
  12. 1. Knox's angry run 2. Renegade - after learning the story of how they practiced all week with that song. 3. Allen's fumblerooski pick-up and eventual Turkey day win 4. Beasley's TD against Dallas 5. Allen's TD catch against Houston
  13. COACH: What's your greatest weakness? TUA: Hmm, good question. I'd have to say that sometimes I am too honest. COACH: I don't think that's a weakness. TUA: I don't give a damn what you think.
  14. How is Reggie Bush in the middle of this list? 12 carries for -3 yards.
  15. In this video, Taylor seems to break away for a touchdown every play. Sign me up.
  16. Just watched a 3 minute Dugger draft video, which was not super impressive. SI has him rated at #56. I'd be a little surprised if he was our pick in the 2nd round.
  17. Last year, the 49ers had a good formula. Get three good backs because you may need them all throughout the season. * Coleman * Breida * Mostert To my eye, Singletary compares to Mostert. I think we'll draft a guy. It's possible Christian Wade learns how to take a handoff and steps in. It's possible Yeldon sticks. It's possible we sign a FA. I can't wait to see what unfolds.
  18. The waiver system runs during the season, which is mid-July through the end of the season. There are no waivers this time of year. Not sure what the rules are today, but in 2015 the waiver period runs from the first business day after the Super Bowl through the end of the NFL’s regular season. During the season, the claim period is 24 hours. During the off season, it may be longer. It applies to those with less than four years in the league. https://operations.nfl.com/updates/the-players/nfl-waiver-system-overview/
  19. As a trade, Diggs does not count against any comp formula. As we signed 7 FAs so far and lost 3, we will very likely not be getting any comp picks next year.
  20. Curious, which of these guys are projected to be below average starters this year? 2019 PFF grades enclosed (yes, the folks at PFF may not be the most accurate graders). I personally think continuity is the way to go. IMO, Ford should develop. Dawkins (73) Spain (55) Morse (66) Feliciano (64) Ford (52) PFF Player Grading Scale: 100-90 Elite, 89-85 Pro Bowler, 84-70 Starter, 69-60 Backup, 59-0 Replaceable
  21. Agree. On this flip side, the brass must really like Butler, because based on production alone, this is the type of guy you can wait on and get at a better price. So I guess I need to wait and see what unfolds in order to judge the brilliance of this move.
  22. I think we're good on the offensive line with at least average starters across the board. RT was a weakness at times last year, but I believe Ford will step up. We have proven depth and some young talent as well. Overall, we don't have any dominant players, but we don't have any glaring weaknesses either. Adding Diggs will help with the cover 0 nonsense teams were running against us in the critical 3rd and long situations. The two remaining weaknesses now is the lack of one more quality running back and that we don't have a game wrecker rushing the passer.
