  1. Roberts leads the NFL in punt return average (minimum of 20 attempts). Roberts is 3rd in kick returns (minimum 10 attempts) and would be better off letting the kicks go into the end zone go for touchbacks. Roberts has great hands for catching punts in the windy weather. Great signing, not a bust at all. Not sure where the all the shade is coming from.
  2. Funny, don't you think it's strange that the cameraman over there has a Patriots logo on his shirt?
  3. I would assume that's a Pats* fan setting off the fire alarms rather than a Kraft employee. But while we are in speculation mode, and for fun, I wonder what role NE had with the missing helmet and equipment bags this last week. KC was about 2 hours away from needing to forfeit. What are the chances Kraft paid some airport bag handler to throw a tarp over the other bags and say "you've got all of them".
  4. One scenario of hundreds, it can happen week 16. Week 15 - Saints beat Colts Week 16 - Bucs beat Texans, Ravens beat Browns, Saints beat Titans, Chargers beat Raiders
  5. Not relevant. Each player needs to be able to contribute greater than their remaining contract. Otherwise, the team can do better by going in another direction. All teams have players on rookie deals.
  6. The way you beat the blitz is with screens and the quick game. That worked today. But it should have been a major part of the game plan, instead of for just a drive or two.
  7. Comparing two starting quarterbacks for two different teams certainly has zero practical value. But so does being a fan of a sports team. It's entertainment, a diversion.
  8. No experience getting a refund, but the policy does state that refund includes fees. I'm in for 2 seats on the 50 yard line, for what I'm guessing will be the championship game against the #2 seed Ravens.?
  9. Running: Josh - "Yards after contact". Physical runner, faster than expected. Lamar - "Yards without contact". Agile runner, extremely quick. Passing: Josh - Excels on medium routes against zone coverage. Accuracy issues on deep throws earlier in the season. Good pocket awareness. Fumble issues. Lamar - Accurate passer. Often single read plays opened by the threat of the run. Improvisational skills outside the pocket. MVP season. Overall: Two of the best and most exciting young quarterbacks in the game today.
  10. Didn't know that, but true. Jano's career average 80% pretty much all the way through. Hauschka on the other hand was about 87% all the way through until last year (injured, 78%) and this year (71%). Is it a permanent decline or just something to work through? Lets hope for the latter.
  11. We should order Football colored gloves for all of our ball carriers. And football colored arm tape too. It will be like 11 footballs out there handing off each other to one another. The defense will not know what to do. Tackle all the footballs that are carrying other footballs! Joking aside, I agree with the point that dark uniforms might provide an advantage when it comes to watching the mesh point of an RPO or RO at night in the rain. Or when compared to when the RB wears white gloves.
  12. Thanks for the pic. Of interest to me: Bills got the #1 guy on their board at #9. There were lots of rumors that folks in Cleveland were fighting to take Allen. We could have ended up with Mayfield at 5 or 9. At least on this day, the Bills ranked them Allen, Darnold, Mayfield, Rosen, Rudolph, Lauletta. I wonder where Jackson was ranked. Many pundits had Jackson ranked as the #1 QB. Clearly going for the more traditional passer and one that can spin it in the winter. Both Allen and Jackson definitely ended up on the right teams. Not sure about the rest.
  13. At 13-3, if the Bills win the AFCE, they will have the #1 seed with a tie breaker over the Ravens.
  14. The Bills have plenty of cap space and decisions should be based on production relative to contract, who else is available and at what cost, but not cap impacts - including dead money.
  15. QBR is holding steady as the 24th most accurate measure of a quarterback. Ouija board ranks 20th.
  16. We went 4-0, beating the Vikings in an amazing comeback win!
  17. Generally, not always, you'd have a better chance of staying around by making good decisions over less good ones.
  18. Without getting into the merits of Murphy or Star, players need to contribute to the level of whatever remains on their contracts. This should be true regardless of how much cap space the Bills are saving for White, Allen, Murphy, Phillips, and a Superbowl run. Better to carry dead cap then dead weight.
  19. We want Baltimore to lose in case Pittsburgh passes them. It increases our odds by 1% according to NYT playoff machine. Not significant at all.
  20. An extra lineman or an unbalanced line could achieve the same. I love that they have quality depth on the O-line.
  21. Star's guarantees are already earned and paid. There is a ~$7M cap hit if released in 2020. Since cap space is not a concern, the only question is whether Star is worth $8M for 2020. I might be wrong, but I think he can be quite easily replaced with a hungry vet like Corey on a one-year prove it deal. $18.5M guaranteed at signing (signing bonus + 2018 salary + $2M of 2019 salary) Remaining $5.15M of 2019 salary & $1M roster bonus fully guarantee on 3/17/2019
  22. Star has 3 years left at $27M. By comparison, Corey Liuget is league minimum. They should offer Phillips the remainder of Star's contract, plus maybe another $3M.
