Nsekhe, Shaq and Roberts all Practicing today.
Rock'em Sock'em replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He contributes mostly on punt returns (top 10) and as WR depth. But he is also 4th in the league in kick return average. He should definitely be active. -
Pick 3 FA's you'd like to see targeted.

Both SM and BB had in-depth knowledge on KB. Not only was this a swing and a miss, but it was a swing and a miss when they knew exactly what pitch was coming. Not only did the trade cost us a 3rd round pick, but also came with an $8.5M one year deal. As it turned out, there were much better uses for that cash. With the pick, Carolina drafted CB Gaulden, who was released earlier this year. With the following pick, Baltimore drafted Mark Andrews. Buffalo picked Taron Johnson 20+ picks later in the forth.

NFL Black Monday - Coaching Changes
Rock'em Sock'em replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I doubt Rivera would want Cam as his savior QB. We got a 3rd round pick for Taylor with a similar contract, so maybe Cam fetches a 2nd rounder??? He had a couple noteworthy seasons years ago before some of the injuries. -
Do we rest the starters next week?
Rock'em Sock'em replied to bills6969's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't see how playing starters here will help this team win the Super Bowl. I want to see what Yeldon, Foster, Neal, and Williams can do on offense. DLine may need to rotate a bit, just to avoid fatigue and subsequent injuries. Backups everywhere else please. -
Is There a Chance McD Threw the Game Yesterday?
Rock'em Sock'em replied to Irv's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IMO, a basic game plan happens most weeks - both offense and defense. It mostly comes down to execution and fundamentals. This week the Bills did not tackle super well. I think NE may have "wanted" this game more than the Bills. Side note: Edelman's "sell job" confirms what I have believed for a long time. NE players will do just about anything to win, including in this case, faking concussions and hiring a clock keeper who will consistently try to screw the away team. I'm somewhere between impressed and disgusted at the level of coaching and attention that must goes into practicing all the cheap ways to help your team win. -
I think this offense can really roll next year with: AJ Green or comparable WR that can occupy the opponent's #1 CB, catch contested balls, and get a few run after catch long TDs. Derrick Henry or comparable RB to use against the tougher good tackling defenses. Cincinnati's Mixon had 149 yards rushing against NE last week in a game that was not close in the 2nd half. Sometimes the FA market for the bigger backs is affordable, allowing us to use or draft picks for depth. Practice screens and draws and 10 other plays that will consistently beat cover 0. An offseason on the Jugs machine for Knox. We have all the other pieces, more or less.

Offense - Work extensively on screens and draws and other blitz beaters that don't require JB to win a 1 on 1 against a top NFL CB. Perfect 10 such plays. Foster - Has all the skills except for finding and adjusting to the ball. Work on that extensively. Knox - Send to the jugs machine 4 hours per day, spelled by Beasley and Singletary at times. Yeldon? Activate him. He was productive against NE in week 4, but otherwise has not looked great for the Bills. He was productive catching the ball for the Jags. Ford - The plan is coming along, keep improving at RT. Gore - Sit and rest up until playoffs. Perhaps come back for a strong finish where he can contribute a bit more on the field. Kroft - Would like to see more involvement, if healthy. Williams - Not sure, haven't seen enough. Seems like he could be a decent red zone threat. I'd activate him over Lee Smith and see what he can do in as a hybrid TE/WR type. I wonder what our 2018 leading YPC rusher Marcus Murphy is doing these days? That ship has probably sailed.

Todd McShay Mock Draft 1.0 - Video
Rock'em Sock'em replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Green, Cooper, Robbie Anderson. Not sure if anyone else is a clear cut upgrade over a 2nd round rookie and what we have. That being said, I'm confident Beane will come up with something. -

Andre Roberts is a waste on the 46
Rock'em Sock'em replied to TPS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Roberts leads the NFL in punt return average (minimum of 20 attempts). Roberts is 3rd in kick returns (minimum 10 attempts) and would be better off letting the kicks go into the end zone go for touchbacks. Roberts has great hands for catching punts in the windy weather. Great signing, not a bust at all. Not sure where the all the shade is coming from. -

I would assume that's a Pats* fan setting off the fire alarms rather than a Kraft employee. But while we are in speculation mode, and for fun, I wonder what role NE had with the missing helmet and equipment bags this last week. KC was about 2 hours away from needing to forfeit. What are the chances Kraft paid some airport bag handler to throw a tarp over the other bags and say "you've got all of them".

Worst Case Scenerio to make playoffs
Rock'em Sock'em replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One scenario of hundreds, it can happen week 16. Week 15 - Saints beat Colts Week 16 - Bucs beat Texans, Ravens beat Browns, Saints beat Titans, Chargers beat Raiders -
Comparing two starting quarterbacks for two different teams certainly has zero practical value. But so does being a fan of a sports team. It's entertainment, a diversion.

Running: Josh - "Yards after contact". Physical runner, faster than expected. Lamar - "Yards without contact". Agile runner, extremely quick. Passing: Josh - Excels on medium routes against zone coverage. Accuracy issues on deep throws earlier in the season. Good pocket awareness. Fumble issues. Lamar - Accurate passer. Often single read plays opened by the threat of the run. Improvisational skills outside the pocket. MVP season. Overall: Two of the best and most exciting young quarterbacks in the game today.
