Fields could be amazing with this current Dolphins team. Compared to Tua, he has a better arm, ability to run, ability to bye time, and better ability to throw on the run. Tua's thing is that he hits on those 2.2s throws that go 15 yards down the hash marks to Hill. But that seems like an overall play design thing, not skillset that is specific to Tua. Tua has also been very accurate on the deep throws to a wide open Hill. Apparently, that's a skillset that not every QB has. eh-hmmm.

If cut after the 2024 season, there would be a cap savings of around $5M. Depending on how 2024 goes, that could happen.

When Jones is available, L. Joseph seems like the obvious choice for cut / practice squad. I believe we would still have unlimited call-ups for him form here on out if he is needed.

Not specifically defending Davis, but drops happen with every WR. In one case a player has possession of the ball and has it taken away. In the other case, possession was not established. Ideally professional receivers would catch everything that hits there hands. I don't know why that doesn't happen. Also, isn't Davis the player in possession of the incriminating photos?

Seems very QB friendly out of the backfield. Put him in the mix. See if we can find a spark this week.

When I think of garbage time, it is for the offense when your team is DOWN by 30 points. The defense is playing prevent and allowing easy completions - often to the running backs. Stats are easier to rack up. When you are UP and you run the clock with 8 minute drives when the defense knows what's coming, that is PRIME TIME, not garbage time. That not withstanding, we know the kind of player Cook is and his limitations. I'm glad we have him.

Another brilliant part of the play for New England is that the off rushing end (#27) did not rush the kicker. He was awaiting to pick up a blocked football for a scoop and score. FACT: At least when this picture was taken, their draft board had Allen #1, Darnold 2, Mayfield 3. They would have traded up for any of the them. Oddly, Jackson was not on their board.

Bills are 7th in rushing yards per game and the only team to have 100 yards rushing in every single game. Five of the teams above us also have QBs that gain rushing yards - a couple of them even more so than Allen. Where do you see the lack of commitment this season?

According to Tua, the second of the three was due to a total miscommunication of the play call. The the other two did not seem related to the concussion.

I have four thoughts. 1. You would need to subtract out every other team's non-designed QB runs to determine ranking with that formula. It may change a position or two (I would guess lower). 2. Allen's runs are part of our offense. Defenses actually game plan for it with QB spies and such. As a team measurement, it's accurate to leave that in. With all QB runs included, the Bills are at 5.3ypc good for 8th. 3. Defenses tend to focus on the pass against us and also need to account for Allen. I would expect the YPC of our RBs to be better than average, and they are. 4. For the most part, the offensive line absolutely dominated the Bears in the run game. Here's hoping for the same against the Bengals.

If you can block a defender downfield, you might as well be able to block a pile. It makes for an interesting play. I'm unaware of anyone getting hurt on this style of play. though I'm sure it's happened. If ever there is enough data to indicate that this style of play is significantly more injury prone compared to an average play, then adjust the rules.

This might have happened, and if it did it's wrong unless it's being discussed as part of collective bargaining agreements. I would bet that if Oliver or Edmunds came to the Bills and wanted an under market value contract (say $50 million over 8 years) that was "fully guaranteed", that the Bills or any other team would oblige. So do you think collusion why these deals don't happen? I think contracts structured with some guarantees and some bonuses and some team or player options actually work better for both parties compared to smaller or shorter fully guaranteed contracts.
