  1. This saves about $6M if released or traded. He may not even be active on game day. A trade or cut is not out of the question, given we have depth at the position, the young guys that are playing well, and we have another veteran presence. That being said, they kept Murphy last year under similar circumstances. EDIT: Doesn't look like any savings at all if released, as his salary is guaranteed. So no real possibility of that. After the 2M pay cut earlier this year, savings will be 4M if traded. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2021/3/18/22338078/mario-addison-contract-restructure-will-save-buffalo-bills-2-million-in-2021
  2. I thought Yeldon was going to be an occasional pass catcher last year, but he was rarely even active on game days. Would the plan for Brieda be the same? Or would the Bills carve out a consistent game-day role?
  3. TM is a solid player for sure. Always around the ball. Edmunds' range and length make him the better option right now, and hopefully because he is still young, he is still getting better.
  4. Great post to wake up to and read on a Saturday morning. Thanks!
  5. $$$$ - increased cap, but being spread around to the same number of guys.
  6. You should remind your friends that Bill Belichick has a LOSING record without Tom Brady as his starting QB.
  7. Crowder says "hi".
  8. Cool post. In 2018 Josh Allen was making the playoffs throwing to Zay Jones and Kelvin Benjamin. Meanwhile, Kirk Cousins was throwing to Diggs AND Thielen. Diggs is great, but I didn't see him "make" Cousins into an MVP candidate. In reality, most teams have name-brand WRs. So sure, let's keep surrounding Josh with name-brand WRs and let them "make" Josh into a perennial league and SuperBowl MVP.
  9. For stadium arrangements, I'd try this unless you get a better tip: https://www.buffalobills.com/about-us/contact-us
  10. That's not McCoy. I read it here that McCoy was less effective than Gore.
  11. What did he have to say about Watkins? Or about Sean Merriman when Whaley was Director of Pro Personnel? What a clown.
  12. Wasn't there an image floating around of a Bills 2018 whiteboard ranking Wyoming, UCS, Oklahoma, UCLA, Oklahoma St? EDIT: Found it.
  13. 17 years, 17% of cap, first $170M guaranteed.
  14. I think we found our 1-tech! Sorry, had to do it. Congrats for putting in all the hard work Devin!
  15. No guarantees, but he can certainly earn a spot. If cut, 3.5M cap savings, 4.8M dead cap, 6M total cash in 2021.
  16. Josh Norman is still available, perhaps on an affordable one year contract. He was not great, but played as well as Wallace last year for us and made a couple game changing plays.
  17. I believe Astro/DeanK maintains this war chart updated yesterday: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dn16TAcH-BzfQP0g53bOMADCztFYQbd-m9cMEuRaBdU/edit?usp=sharing
  18. 90% of statistics are completely made up. Did the NYT study isolate attendees vs. non-attendees residing in the same city? Do we even know whether attending the game outdoors actually increases or decreases your risk compared to how you would watch the game otherwise for those particular fans that attended? While I know that staying home in isolation is going to keep you healthy, I'm always skeptical about such studies. Rank the following in terms of riskiness. I would say after #1, nobody really knows. 1. Watch the game home alone, or don't watch the game. 2. Watch the game outdoors with 20,000 other fans. 3. Watch the game at a crowded indoor bar. 4. Watch the game at home with family and friends.
  19. Bengals beat the Ravens in the last second on 4th and 12 from the 49 yard line to end the drought. Definitely the best moment for me.
  20. If you can trade for what's an expected mid-first-rounder next year they should do it. In 2021 you can likely get a solid veteran at near league minimum on a one year contract. He will contribute about the same as a 1st round rookie. So that makes it no loss this year. In 2022 we will have an extra first round draft pick to help - and who knows, it might be top 10. So it's a win next year.
  21. Fix all of the variables except for opting out and contracting covid. player A - did not opt out, did not contract covid, shown on social media living life. player B - did not opt out, did contract covid, shown on social media living life. player C - did opt out, did not contract covid, shown on social media living life. player D - did opt out, did contract covid, shown on social media living life. They all play the same position, they all had equal reasoning to opt out, and all projections are equal. I would definitely draft A first and D last. I'm honestly not sure about B vs. C. To me, there is some value where a player makes sacrifices to play. And there is also some value in proving to be successful (with your health).
