  1. Check out the depreciation on that house and other houses in that area over the last 2 years. Ouch. Link
  2. 25+ years as a Bills fan. Bills clinch playoffs against Jets (1988?), fans charge the field, rip down the goal posts.
  3. The basic "fill gaps" approach has helped to improve our run defense some, but at the cost of a pass rush. And as adequate as our run defense has been overall, what's up with the 10 minute drives in the 4th quarter the last couple weeks??? When he was here, I found Dick LeBeau's 3-4 schemes overall more effective and much more interesting to watch too.
  4. It's pretty simple. Hardy is watching the ball for the last 20 yards but fails to stop short and make a play on Trent's under-thrown ball. A great WR makes this catch often, inevitably followed by the announcers giving all sorts of accolades to the QB for the intentional "back shoulder" throw. Hardy may get there eventually, but as a rookie seems to lack some body control and adjustments necessary to make the QB look good. We'll need a little run now to keep this season on the successful track.
  5. We lost last week mainly because of 2nd half turnovers and no game changing plays on defense or special teams. McGee is part of that, but some credit also goes to both lines, special teams, Royal and Trent. We'll forget all about last week with a big win against the Jets. I love that Morman is not topping our list of top positional players any longer. Go Bills!
  6. Basically if anything except feet or hands touch the ground due to contact with a defender, you're down. Shin, elbow, head, knee (of course). Pretty sure ankle, forearm, and wrist count too. When I saw the Royal play, the first thing I thought was forward progress. I thought it was a mistake not to challenge, even though it might have ended up costing us a timeout. One of many mistakes by the team today. Hope Edwards is alright. Go Bills!
  7. Taking aside games against the Bills, our opponents are each 1-1. So based on records alone, I'd say our opponents are average (with Jacksonville having the highest quality win against the Colts.) Go Bills!
  8. In order for it to be a simultaneous catch, Evans needs to catch the ball. Since the ball popped loose when Evans went to the ground, he did not complete the catch. So it would have been incomplete. But the ball popped loose into the lap of the defender and the defender caught the ball before it touched the ground. Hence the interception.
  9. Maybe "accidentally" sending that email was their negotiating tactic.
  10. 6' 4", 230, cannon arm, fake mustache. Yeah, that'll work.
  11. Belichick had 5 seasons with the Browns and 1 winning record. Went 5-11 with Bledsoe in 2000 first season in New England. Fell to 0-2 in 2001. Enter Brady.
  12. After watching all the highlight videos, I would be happy with either: Fred Davis in the 2nd Dustin Keller in the 3rd Oft injured Brad Cottam in the 4rd ... or combine Davis and Keller and take a risk with Kellen Davis (MICH ST) in the 4th.
  13. This draft would be quite awesome. I think have a man-crush on one or two of these guys already. Not seriously ... but seriously. 1 DE Derrick Harvey - Fills a need, could also go CB. 2 WR James Hardy - 6-5, 4.5 speed, I'd take the chance. 3 TE Brad Cottam - 6-7, 270. Probably the best run-blocking TE. 4.69 pro-day speed about matches Fred Fred Davis's 4.68. 4 WR Paul Hubbard - 6-2, 4.4 speed. Maybe a WR#2 in 2010 after an Evans' franchise year. 4 FB Owen Schmitt - Fills a need or wait a round for Peyton Hillis. 5 OC Kory Lichtensteiger - I'd rather see OC Doug Legursky here, if he fell. rounds 6-7-7: shouldn't we pick a QB?
  14. I don't recall anyone suggesting we draft a TE in the 1st round. I do like Brad Cottam in the 3rd. (6-7/270/4.68/36.5).
  15. Funny. At least we have a coach that the players can look up to.
  16. My point is that you can click on the link to see Harvey go about 10 selected plays against the top OT prospect. People can make their own judgements on the guy. As far as our defense goes, improving our pass rush has got the be the #1 priority. Yes, Boselli was always solid against Bruce, but those were some good years back then.
  17. Jake Long (top 5 pick this year) versus Derrick Harvey
  18. If you wait on WR, this is the type of guy that may be available in the 4th. Varoius remarks on him and others: http://walterfootball.com/draft2008WR.php We should extend Evans, but if we can't before the draft do we also look for a future #1 WR in round 1/2? It seems more difficult (expensive) to procure a #1 WR through free agency compared to other positions.
  19. Overall, nice board. You need IE and Office 2000 ActiveX viewer to view it.
  20. Assuming a trade-down scenario... Rd1 - WR - Malcolm Kelly Rd2 - WR - Devin Thomas - unless we extend Evans prior to draft Rd2 - TE - Brad Cottam Rd3 - FB - Peyton Hillis Rd4 - CB - Dwight Lowery Rd5 - QB - Matt Flynn Rd5 - C - Doug Legursky, Marshall Rd6 - CB - Al Phillips, Wagner Rd7 - LB - Mike Humpal, Iowa
