  1. i know, i wish we drafted somebody! C'MON!
  2. 10+ wins, better to end the year, a bit of a rough start. allen starts sooner than later (possibly week one), D is a monster, strong run game, passing is limited by WR talent. we go to the playoffs and do damage like jacksonville did last year, then we buy a bunch of talent in the next offseason and then the bills roam around the nfl like the roman legion smashing fools and staring stone faced into a future of glory.
  3. what's that? facts. he really did get low value for marcel, but in the end it could work out. darby and watkins were great values. while darby is a solid player, our secondary was really solid last year, so we net net are fine. Sammy has redunk talent, but he just didn't fit in/get along/stay healthy to the point where we were gonna keep him, and neither did the team who traded for him. based on the above, i agree w you vs the fans who said he gave away talent at a fire sale, i'd say overall he got solid/fair value. the one thin i will agree with from the fans in this thread w a more hedged opinion on beane -- it really comes down to his draft this year, and that's almost all on Josh Allen. I suppose it is possible for peterman to ball out, and every other pick made this year to be solid and Allen busts and we are still a good team who had a good draft, but if Allen can get to a pro bowl level (and he probably has to get there in a bit of a hurry, and without totally stinking for too long) that's the silver bullet we (every team?) needs. what i love about this front office is they have an identity and they are pushing their own mandate at full speed. whaley was a bit of a mish mash of a hedger and a risk taker, he'd flip one player off and hit a home run (like w #55) and get a very solid value with tyrod, but then he'd also over pay percy and clay and so so on, and left some holes in the roster (obv shady was a grand slam). it felt like he was trying to maximize the pay off of each move in isolation, without thinking about how it was going to form a better overall team. this current front office is very very clear in what they want and are putting thoughts to action, which means it either succeeds, or it fails and there is no kinda sorta decision point where maybe you keep the gm, fire the coach, or vice versa, or whatever. the are standing up to be counted and it will be clear if they are getting it done, or not.
  4. LOL Indeed, and he could conceal a dagger and bring it into chariot events!
  5. im a big fan of baker may, but i think this speaks to how under rated Josh "future bills HOF mutlti chip winning qb" Allen's readiness to play was. he played in a hard throw run based pro style O, and under center. the only other qb who compared was Josh Rosen, who i'm sure is doing well in camp, but who I think is physically weak (and i'm starting to buy the attitude/mentality issues, but frankly it may be sour grapes cuz i would have been fine w him if allen was gone and we took him at 12) and won't be able to make the spectacular throws and more importantly will simply be hurt in the nfl.
  6. meh, always happy to see the pats suffer, and happy that it could help the bills, but pro athletes in the nfl more or less all are on something. they should be, who wouldn't take something that would help you be better at your job which defines your entire life and can make you rich, but only lasts for a short while? i read a comment in this thread about how in sports drugs are bad (mkayyyy) because it means more talented people either have to take them, or lose to less talented people who use them. how is that a problem? why not view them as an equalizer that allows hungrier harder working guys who were born with less talent to excel against naturally born players?
  7. personal politics aside this was a smart/consistent to his type move by trump. the old culture war issues the republicans failed with have been replaced with new ones they should be winning with (they aren't called the stupid party for nothing), and trump is winning with. his off the cuff and obtuse nature is a feature, not a bug. the media in nearly its entirety is left leaning politically and socially, and 1990s republican right/globalist leaning economically, both of which are clear opposites to trump's mandate. since he ran against both the establishment of the GOP and the Dems (and both of their arms of the media, obviously the Dem's is much larger and more prestigious) he basically relies on his over the top statements and twitter to control the narrative. rescinding the offer to the eagles, who clearly had planned on embarrassing him, and turning it around helps drive the wedge on the culture war issue of outward displays of patriotism and support for military/police.
  8. chin ups/pull ups (and i've never got the distinction, cuz you can do all kinds of grips) are tough, and require some semblance of strength/weight, but they are also really sensitive to being in practice of doing them. if i focus on chin ups, i can do many more per set, and many more over all than if i don't do them regularly. also, if i've done some other work ahead of them, 10 for an easy set looks more like 6 or 7 for a hard set. all that said, a grown able bodied man not being able to do a single chin up in any form should be ashamed of himself and not be comfortable just letting his body be a worthless sack of mush. mandatory physical training and bringing back the draft would fix half of america's problems.
  9. Top 5? Top 5?!?! I know I said we'd be Top 5, but we'll be top 2, and we're not 2, I thought you had one but it's not one, corta nah. Hermes link, ice blue... I'll see myself out.
  10. tyrod being a running qb who can't read the d well or throw with anticipation means there is one blueprint to defend him -- like the man said "make him be a quarterback". if the opposing d plays conservative (defending more of the pitch) then TT and a sick run game can make some money, but once coaches figured out they don't need to you saw tyrod end up as the 31st qb in the NFL in terms of production. new england started out blitzing him in the shoot out loss in tyrod's second start (and our D pulled the greatest rex ryan disappearing act ever that game) and tyrod was able to make huge plays (with better weapons). after that game, NE played us much better by keeping a spy or two, and clogging up lanes to defend pass and run at the same time. any good nfl qb would carve that up by throwing over the linebackers, but tyrod just never did. about production -- how can anyone say it doesn't matter? of course yards matter, it's football for crying out loud. if you are on your own 10, with 2 mins left, not getting yards not only means you can't sneak in a quick 3 or a glorious 7, but you punt the ball away and give the other team another shot. 3 and outs (but not turnovers, tyrod gets big credit for that) set our d up to fail over and over again. a lack of "meaningless" yards also meant we got pinned back in our own end (since the prior possession we punted from our 31 or whatever) so the OC had to be more risk averse than usual. i remember a quote from a power running back who said "if you need 1 yard, i'll get you 3, if you need 5, i'll get you 3". Tyrod is the qb equivalent to that.
  11. Tyrod regressed because we took away his Greggggg Roman O, which made colin Kap look like an all star. It was a pretty interesting system, with insane formations and a run game that kept the entire front 7 of the D guessing and resulted in huge run plays and provided some deep passing chances. it also lead to penalties, no rhythm, and plays took SOOOOO LONGGG to get in. 8 million formations and 35 substitutions per drive. the RB coach now in SD ran it better than roman did, but it was his creation. anyhow, tyrod has huge limitations as a passer, and even tho some fans give him excuses comparing him to brees or whever from 15 years ago, passing production is up all around and tyrod just couldn't deliver because he struggles to read a d and make an accurate throw. he was IMO maybe the best QB ever at not turning it over tho, and ran well. I look at tyrod as a perfect guy to add onto a team with a sick D, solid run game, and no passing O, because he make some plays out of thin air, but he can't work within the offensive system and implement a dynamic passing attack. I think houston 2 years ago when they had osweiler and savage at qb would have a shot at the chip with him, or some of the pre flacco baltimore teams, or even the jets in ryan's first days there. he's just too limited and we have seen what he can do, and more importantly what he cannot do. He was also an awesome pro, great to his teammates, solid attitude, and a quiet type of leader. IMO he is the ideal back up QB for most any team because he can leg it out and will not make the bad turnover, but he simply cannot be relied upon to score, or even avoid killer 3 and outs in his own end. we are going a totally different direction with the team now, with tyrod we more or less needed the opponents to incorrectly defend against us or make a big mistake so we could get a few big plays and we had trouble sustaining drives due to the lack of efficiency in passing. now that we are going all out stud talent at QB (and adding pieces like that on D) we are trying to have a team that can score against any D from any spot on the field (with a higher risk of turnovers). basically the opposite of the gregg roman tyrod bills, which was money in the redzone, but stalled out so often in key situations you wanted to pull your hair out. i give tyrod a partial pass for last season, because the talent level on O fell off and the OC was junk and get his walking papers over it, but tyrod's flaws were just emphasized, and we saw the entire O just vanish for long stretches, including a frankly embarrassing string of games mid season.
  12. i really do think we have a shot at both ROY prizes (full on preseason homer mode for me). top to bottom on the draft this year the bills selected exceptional athletes/measurable guys. i don't think we have any real character concern type picks either, all of that leads me to think the coaching staff have supreme confidence that if they are supplied with a stud athlete with a good attitude, they can mold him into an NFL killer and in quick order. i hope zay jones can come back to earth and play like he was picked, but i can't help but suspect we will be shopping for big dollar WRs next offseason.
  13. allen will be ready much faster than many think, particularly compared to many of the other rook qbs, because he was in a pro style O that made him attempt difficult passes. the quick slants and screens which go for 50 yards that okalhoma ran all the time are the plays that aren't there in the pros (not as much anyhow, and with much smaller windows). there is no replacement for pure talent in the NFL, and we finally have a guy with the ability to put the ball all over the place precisely. it's gonna be a lot of fun to be a bills fan.
  14. our d will suffocate and take away big plays while (attempting at least) to keep teams honest and stop the run from being a consistent money maker. think of our performance vs the jags in the playoffs. they will have some let downs, but not like last years 3/4 game stretch of shame. we will do the opposite on O. attempt to control the clock, run consistently, and pass over the top for big chunks. the sad part is i suspect we will still have too many 3 and outs like we did last year (and before), but our new found ability to put the ball over the d will loosen them up and get us more points. i don't think we have as many 3 point games, or one offensive touchdown games, as we did. we will turn the ball over more, and our d is better at every level and will take weapons away in coverage, while being disciplined. i think we get 9 to 11 wins.
  15. lol, what an awesome story. i agree w the above. preston brown was a skilled LB, but his slow slow speed was a huge problem and helped cost us a potential playoff road win vs the jags. if you watch the jag lbs vs ours, (in the gut mostly) it was night and day wrt speed. I think our new rook is gonna look like the predator out there, a big long body covering ground quickly and snatching people up. also making trophies out of player's skulls and spines, going into active camouflage, the usual.
  16. if he's too hurt to play/practice, he'd just go on our practice squad, right? I really think the NFL should allow a larger roster, it doesn't make the game better to have some guy come off the couch not knowing the play book to long snap or play RT or whatever in week 9.
  17. this seemed like trumped up bs to me, getting rehashed in the media. but then i took a closer look at patricia. He is such an unrepentant manlet that i'm not so sure anymore. to be safe we should all post on this website and social media that sexual assault is bad (controversial hot take for the brave few willing to take a stand) and then perhaps retardedly blather believe all women or something.
  18. love it! does anyone think that there are NFL d linemen who don't use steroids and other PEDs?
  19. allen is gonna light the nfl on fire and put it out with highlight reel gasoline.
  20. OMG, you guys are gonna blind me with the badge shining! LJL at incel ideology! has no one here ever posted or read the misc? have any idea where these words come from? do any of you even lift?
  21. can't this guy be a low iq psycho criminal jock AND be dating a filthy pig of a woman who makes stuff up because she's a half retarded gold digging spaz? this is america, if you dream it you can live it! anyhow, throwing a dog sounds bad, but what if it was biting him? i agree with every one signalling their animal love virtue, DOGS ARE DIVINE AND NEVER BITE EVER!!!! IMPEACH AND YET SHE PERSISTED!
  22. Allen is gonna win the competition, start day 1, and smoke fools. he'll only be passing a low number of times per game, but there will be long bombs and play action, which will back d off
  23. how has no one mentioned steroids? im big (6'4" ~260) and not fat (say 15% bf or so). I tore a biceps a few years ago, my arm and shoulder went polio small after surgery, did a bunch of rehab, and i got right back up to my original size, and bigger since. now, my arm was tiny, and my shoulder too, but the rest of my body didn't just suddenly shrink, even tho i wasn't lifting or eating much. so why did this happen to me and not to all these players who shrunk? hmmmmmmmmm. ok, i missed this. someone did mention it!
  24. that's a motherfather fact, jack. Dr Joshua Allen passed the ball what, 23 times a game? there isn't enough data to conclude how much of the % was his accuracy, his decision making, the types of throws schemed for or attempted, and so on. when he's blasting cam newton style bombs over the D, we are gonna see the back 7 play honest and back off, and that will allow for more run success. one thing that made me kick myself in the face watching tyrod was the 3rd and 6 special. it was a half hearted play action attempt, or read option look, followed by a roll out, tyrod avoiding pressure, and then throwing a contested pass to the TE for 4 or 5 yards. Cap'n Allen of the USS ThunderArm will throw more picks than Tyrod (who nearly set a dang record not turning over the ball) but as long as they are deep downfield it's not a huge drop off, but i think day one on 3rd and long he will be a better threat to convert than T mobile was.
  25. LJL! i was looking around for some vids of our new (not yet, but future HOF) QB the day after we drafted him, and all that was coming up (except on this board which lanked me up some nice high lights) was woke hot takes on his tweets. one woke clown tard, who i think was a basketball player, was getting homotional and saying the n bomb tweet from allen was hostile and confrontational, and not like some other tweet by some other person which was quoting a rap song. needless to say, lolz were had. i actually recognized the song that allen tweeted! he also tweeted some tv show, and made a joke about penis (which i found personally offensive, because that's a symbol of the patriarchy and she persisted and i'm with her). i do remember some very angry posters here talking about how his tweets, as a 15 year old, were horrible and very concerning. and i agree, because how dare anyone do anything!
