  1. guys, we went from having april influence our bad front office too much having us draft tons of special teams only guys to ditching them and him, but we still need some studs on special teams. this kid day one can be that guy for us and has upside as a WR. throw in cj on punts, mclovin' on kicks, and freddie sometimes and you've got us being able to produce like we used to (even have parish there too) while we added big play ability to O and some beef up on the line on D. i wanna see what a line backing core of schoble, maybin, poz, and mitchell can do behind stroud troup and one of many guys we can put at the other end slot. if we can force two extra punts a game this year that gives us some field position an with our stable of backs if we can wear some teams down we will win some more games.
  2. as goofy as it sounds the big thing to me that makes me think this kid will be a stud is that he is an acedemic all american, and graduated in 3.5 years, and was on the track team (even tho he missed some of the pre football stuff for the 09 season). that looks a lot like robert smith to me, although i think spiller is more liked by his teammates as a super hard competitor (smith has a rep of not fighting for extra yards as it often hurt him). a smart rb (tt and barry could be said to be that, as well as faulk and lt of course) imo is like a MLB with great spead -- it gives him an extra edge to get things outside of the play design done. without just shot gunning it like lynch and mcgahee often did risking it in the back field to hope to break one, i think the best rb's run to a level where they are gaining ground, then make their move for a chance at a big one. it takes smarts to disect the play like that, willis and marshawn are basically idiots (altho i like lynch and would like him to stay to give us a stable) tt was brilliant at this, and in school spiller looks that way too.
  3. i really like those guys, but our D is on the verge of being very good, and our O is just horrible. i think we go RB if we trade Lynch, LT/small chance of QB if we don't, 9th overall. in the 2nd if we trade lynch i think we go NT and LT, o/w if cody is there we grab him, if a good LT falls we grab him. so we might trade lynch, get spiller, cody, and an LT (in 2nd). that would be an awesome draft and we'd have big play running (as well as freddy bieng our set your watch to workhorse) and stop most of the big plays running going the other way with our new plugged up 3-4
  4. if we do a "big nickle" package where we drop an LB and add a safety he could be really good. mc's at corner whitner, scott, harris at safety (or whitner/scott byrd and harris) poz aaron and mayin at LB stroud williams johnson/kelsey/mccargo on the line. on like 3rd and 7 that could stop draws form getting first downs (god i hope we solve that problem) but also provide some good coverage and allow for some interesting blitzing. schoble and maybin on the edge should be very hard for teams to match up on.
  5. first of all ruben was fcking awesome and a pure bills guy. gimme 5 of him and you have a killer oline. to me peters is the sean gilbert of the o line. awesome skills and physical ability, poor focus and conditioning, prone to quit. gilbert went to carolina and was considered by all who played or practiced with him as the best talent in the Dline in the nfl. unblockable was thrown around with his name all the time. thing is he wasn't a super hard worker or football guy in the nfl, and so he ended up under playing his contract. now a DT i can see being an asset if he is great sometimes and bad others, because big plays by a dt cand disrupt a whole O. on the O line, particularly at LT, i want a rock steady guy. a mistake by an Oline player will offset 10 much better than average plays, it's just the nature of the position. because of that i fade peters as a player at his salary, and we did fck up by not having an LT in place really soon. oher over maybin would have made us a MUCH better team last year.
  6. if cody or a similar NT isn't there at 2nd-9, i could see us taking WR and liking it nice. o/w LT in the 1st, NT in the 2nd, WR in the 3rd. considering maybin and schoble are OLBs now, we have 6 or 7bls at the moment and would do well just going for a converted DE or a big MLB in the later rounds. I think we might be OK at RT, and good in the middle 3 if wood is back. a stud LT would round out or OL well enough for a good running game. our passing is gonna be all scheme and play action, and i still think we might get vick.
  7. those guys and wilfork will give us a sick 34 and let us draft TE/WR and LT in the first 2 (obv LT being top slot). that would be huge. porter and maybin/aaron shoble on the outside, and thomas and poz in the middle, w williams and stroud at DE and vince in the gut would be just beastly
  8. mangold and revis are slam dunks, but i'm not so sure about harris over poz. i was really really down on poz as recently as the tenn game when he missed a tackle at the goal line, but honestly he was a fugging beast for the reast of the season. the pics are money and he really has come in and smacked guys more. if we go 34 and get wilfork he might be pretty salty in the middle, a teddy bruschi with more speed and talent.
  9. i'll take rolondo mcclain at 9. guy is a super star waiting to happen.
  10. our coordinators gillbride and williams mentioned above are studs on other teams -- it's more about players than coaches. we need a good coach, but it's not like only one will do. cowher is my #1, but shotty jnr would make me happy
  11. peters has sick talent and skills, he's just fat lazy stupid and a dick. i'd way way rather have solid but not great consistent o linemen than a stud who makes great plays and then just stinks in others. like corner back a mistake by an LT can mean way more damage than a few great plays.
  12. I've become a big tebow fan, he could be vince young (who for all his flack and bad press, is a very very dangerous football player). I'd take him (not 9th, but in the 1st). Pat white from WVU went in the 2nd to miami, who already had a 2nd round QB and Pennington. don't think an athlete can't play in the nfl. they don't think that way anymore.
  13. that quote makes me think he thinks he's staying and other guys are going.
  14. rolondo is the next lavaar, but with a better head for the game. if he's there, i take him and turn our LBs from a joke to a set of monster killing machines.
  15. sign wilfork and have williams and stroud rotate and see how easy it is to run on the middle against us. i hate it when bills fans get too wrapped up in the schemes. good players and good coaches come in lots of varieties.
  16. +1 i assign a high likelyhood to her being a fck up and deserving it. reminds me of Tredoau's kid in canada dying in some idiot extreme skiing thing. darwin doesn't check bank balances or fame.
  17. we just have the worst o in the nfl. rb false start on 3rd and inches? clearly we need to scorch the earth with the o coaching staff.
  18. schoble really is such sadly wasted talent over his bills career. i really hope he comes back for 2 more years and we right the ship.
  19. fittz is simply horrible
  20. poz and aaron have been keeping our d in it.
  21. and now a hold! let's give it away guys!
  22. did he even get 2 feet in? god we are a bad team
  23. our O is so stupid and so sh1t, god how did we win 5 games?
  24. god fittz is such a horrible horrible qb.
  25. please score in here!
