The 49ers are a team that is almost qb proof. That’s why a guy like purdy could set in and not miss a beat. Also, on paper, the Ravens are very good. Best receiving group Lamar has ever had, their defense was really good to end the year. Their whole situation is if they will remain healthy, because they have made the playoffs every year Lamar has been healthy. Cowboys will choke but they definitely have had some loaded rosters. I’d swap our skill players for theirs in a second.

Whining about the schedule in May is so boring. We have no idea what teams are going to be good. Last year at this time, the afc west was going to be this amazing division and the nfc east was a joke, I used to like Sharp but he’s jumped the shark.

Growing up playing both sports, the biggest obstacle with hockey is money. It’s really expensive. Football is such a unique sport because it takes so many different type of athletes to play it. I also think the physical part of it will be a major wake up call to non rugby countries. I love football but Oklahoma drills in hot august is a form of torture. Let’s be honest. We have a generation (I’m becoming a grumpy old man!) of soft, entitled wussies (wanted to use another word). To become great at football, it is an absolute grind. More than any other sport, the mindset of a football is so different. You can’t fake it as much as you can in other sports.

Blame McDermott for making him the OC but it’s wild the expectations some have. “I know you have never done this job but you need to be awesome at it right away. “ It’s hindsight, but since he left LC, Bienemy would have been a helluva a hire.

I get to a point what you’re saying. But to say it means nothing is wrong as well. The defense helps us win a bunch of games in the regular season. They may have folded at times but it still was a strength of the team most of the year.

Finally, we can have a real DC who can lead us past our terrible rankings of the last two seasons of, checking notes, #2 and #1!!!!

Imagine Cole Beasley running crossing routes in the 80s against Ronnie Lott. Imagine qbs taking the hits they used to take. Defensive backs can’t breath on a receiver or it’s penalty, also, dual threat qbs are getting the chances they never used to get. we hate him but Dan Marino passed for 5,000 yards when guys struggled to get to 3,000. Now Matt Stafford can do it. Just way different eras.

3 - kinda terrible at actually playing qb and Bennett didn’t get a degree after 15 years in college??? From Georgia???? That is absolutely a huge red flag. How is that even possible? Wingman for Josh Allen in Buffalo has to the best job ever: “Hi ladies. That’s my friend Josh. He’s really rich, really good at sports, tall, and just had his heart broken.” almost as effective as my polar bear opener. Almost. 😉

1 - never in a million year did I expect Allen to be this good. Shout out to him and the bills. 2 - all modern stats need to be taken with a grain of salt. I would love to see Randall Cunningham or Steve Young in this era. 3 - I know he’s hated by a lot here but Cam was such a beast. There was a stat that not one skill player he played with on offense ever took a snap in the nfl. I hate the idea of telling Allen not to fight for every year but Cams story is a cautionary tale. either way, we are very lucky fans to have him. Unless he tries to take my lady. Then, the bills won’t have a starting qb anymore. 🥹

He is the definition of qbs getting too much credit for team success. A player who was never a top 10 players at his position should never be a HOFer.

With all due respect Lil’ Rico, you can tell who never played sports at high level. To expect a guy who plays the position that requires physical skill to be back to full spirit after a major knee injury is absolutely crazy. These are always 2 year recovery injuries. now if he struggles this year, I’m with you. But fans need to be more realistic in what they expect out of players. They aren’t robots.

Loved his story at the draft but I forgot he was in the league. Worth kicking the tires on but unless he did some major Roids while he was out of the league, I don’t see it. But crazier things have happened.

I hope you’re kidding but this is one of the dumbest myths that is consistently said on this board. He paid whatever it took to keep those SB teams together when there was no cap. What players did he cheap out on? He gave TD full control and he got burned by it and then was really careful on who he trusted. he also keep Buffalo, which was the 2nd poorest city in the country, when he could left and made billions like other bigger market teams did. He is the sole reason the Bills are still in Buffalo. If you don’t like Ralph, I don’t like you. also, multiple SBs and afc titles. So dumb to hate on that man. He didn’t murder anyone. Hot take: Cunningham is the qb of the bills, we win a SB. He played with a bunch of garbage in Philly on offense. That said, he’s not a HOFer. simms is one of the most overrated qbs ever.

Davis needs the money. A lot of the family passed on teams aren’t financially strong like the bears. Davis isn’t independently wealthy so he will take anything he can get, I also got the alert and thought he was coming back to play for the raiders which would have been hilarious.

Agree. It’s so much easiest to put up points and yards now. I struggle to see an offense better than those first SB years. They were loaded with HOFers. Only bills one I can put on par was 1st half of a season with Bledsoe. How many HOFers does this offense have? Maybe 2?
