Was he thought? I mean I’m sure people will do the Jerry Hughes thing where they make his low sack numbers more impressive than they are. But his best season was 7.5 sacks. that said if they could float a 5th or lower and his knees somewhat check out, I would be on board. I think the knock is that he doesn’t have that extra gear that elite guys have and the injuries haven’t helped. And Washington is a hellhole to play for.

They are a joke fanbase and been completely spoiled. Their bandwagon is going to get so empty soon. Back to the days of my youth when they were a joke of a franchise.

Kelly is the best qb in bills history (Allen will have a shot to replace him if he keeps this up). But are we forgetting how loaded they were? They had a top 3 RB and HOF, 2 HOF receivers, good TEs, maybe the best back up rb, a very good o line, and a good if underachieving defense. Next to the 49ers, they had the most loaded roster in the nfl during the 90s. Kelly is very good but I won’t consider him great. I was super young but didn’t Kelly cause the bickering bills? Wasn’t Kelly out drinking during the SBs? Didn’t Kelly not want to come to Buffalo? Aren’t there a million terrible stories Kelly stories out there and he would have been in major trouble if social media existed when he played? I think McCoy is a clown. I forgot about Moore, who I really like getting traded. Still, I think their group is better. Diggs is definitely the best but Wilson put up a 1,000 with garbage. I think Lazard is better than Davis, who I like more than most. Corey Davis has had his moments and Hardman (who some Bills fans love hyping up to put down Mahomes) is meh but I’d take him as our 4. now, if we pick up a guy, it can switch. But either way, it’s a better group than he had in GB and all the wrs in NJ are going to be better without the milf hunter holding them back.

They have a better receiving core than us. Wilson is really really good and they had absolute crap throwing them the ball. Eh, I think the draft pick stuff is super overrated. What they should keep their picks to draft the next Zack Wilson or Sam Darnold? They have a really complete roster and has maybe the worst starting qb in the nfl. They acquired a 3 time mvp, who is old and weird, but is on a different planet than they crap they had prior. The jets are such an irrelevant franchise. I would be doing backflips if I was a Jets fan.

Let’s hope and Rodgers looked as bad as he ever has last year. But that team is pretty loaded and you would have been an upgrade at qb last year. A A Ron is a total weirdo and seems like it could be a terrible match up with the media in NY/ NJ. But slightly below average qb play would have gotten them to the playoffs. Our division definitely is the hardest it’s been since we got good. It might be the best division in the nfl.

I’m glad he said this but I do love that he says he sees himself as football player first and a qb second. That’s why guys love him. And his style and running makes him so dangerous. But long term, it is going to catch up. Cam Newton set rookie passing records and win a MVP and his body started breaking down. Glad Josh is realizing it but it was fun watching him try to run over defensive players. Mickey got no chicks.

It makes me a little sad. I mean I’m happy for him and you never want to see your career end like that. But it was like the one time all fans csn together in a positive way. I can already see the “I don’t want to a jerk but does Hamlin deserve his roster spot” threads. 😞

I mean fans won’t like this but it’s true. He was kinda going down hill for a little bit before he had a nice end of the season with the Rams. Injuries don’t get better with age. However if he stays healthy, he can be a difference maker. But that contest might be an anchor going forward. I think the hope was he would take the defense to the next level. This regime has been really, really good. But they have been bad on drafting d linemen. Would have been gray if we drafted a stud pass rusher and had Von’s money to invest in other positions. Let’s just hope he can stay healthy.

Yeah, I have to agree. This contract is going to age poorly but the goal is to win a SB so I completely get it. Hopefully some of the young guys are learning From him. Maybe we load management him like the nba.

He also will probably have this contract ripped up and extended before it’s over and end up making like $60 million/ year with the next contract. Crazy money Oh, I get that. They will be in the same boat as us. I think the nfl either needs to qb contracts more in line wirh other positions or make the qb contract count separate. For instance if I’m Barkley making $10 million and seeing Daniel Jones’ giddy self making $40 million, I couldn’t live with that.

Does it really matter? How much more will it be? And nfl contracts are so fluid. They all get restructured and then you have to pay them the same. Every elite qb kinda makes the same. Except prime Brady when he took less than market value. Once you have to pay your qb, you are giving up like 30-40% of your cap.

This is going to happen every time a qb gets a new deal. Kinda hard to call any player making $45 million a bargain. and great for Hurts. He had gotten doubted a lot and just put his head down and worked and kept getting better. He was awesome in the SB. He reminds me a lot of Allen. that said, if you are other positions, this has to drive you crazy. Not because of Hurts but because of scrubs like Jones and Jared Godf getting these deals. It’s insane what qbs get paid compared to other positions.
