I don’t think so. I do think fans are delusional about us getting a high priced vet receiver because of Allen’s contract and Diggs. But the draft is where we can get the next Diggs for a fraction of a cost. Plus, I won’t be shocked if Diggs gets moved after the season. we need to load up on young guys to grow with Allen and learn from Diggs while he is here.

Good post. I would say it would be interesting if Mahomes was up and would his contract be fully guaranteed. Nfl owners have fought that for so long and I think qb contracts compared to the rest of the positions are getting out of control. I think the owners while not colliding are United to fight stop the madness after the Watson contract. I definitely believe if he didn’t want the guaranteed money, he would have been signed. im not saying Jackson is making the right moves. But it’s hard for these guys to settle for less when they think a guy they are better than (I think pre rapist Watson was better than Jackson). I do think someone should get in his ear. If I was the ravens, I’d promise to get him receivers and open up the offense and see how he does in it and then work on a long term deal.

Brown was ninth in targets his last year in bAltimore. All his numbers were worse in Arizona. He wanted out because of the system they run and all receivers care about is getting their stats. They have never had a receiver the talent level of Diggs. AB didn’t want to come to Buffalo because of Allen. Now, that looks incredibly stupid. if Jackson was in the Miami system (again, he has already won a mvp) and was “struggling,” that would be one thing. But Roman’s system is limiting and he played with mainly garbage around him besides Andrews. Imo, if he is miamis qb, they would be a major problem. That’s fair. I believe he probably will take a step back and get a major, but not fully guaranteed contract.

If the bills were smart, they look at the amount of teams that win SBs who have a dominant TE. I like Knox but he isn’t a TE teams spend the week game planning for. Imagine Allen having Mayer in the middle of the field as a security blanket. Or having him dominate d bags in the run game because we can be so versatile with our formations and personnel. this is the golden age of receivers. They are growing on trees. But for some reason, this franchise hates the idea of having a beast TE. Worked well for the Pats. And the chiefs. then drafted multiple receivers in the draft (unless JSN slides because he’s perfect for us). We need a #1 TE and there’s a few in this draft.

I think he’s getting there but Lawrence had one pretty good, not close to a mvp, season. also, Jackson would kill for those receivers.

So if drew rosenhaus was Lamar’s agent, he won’t try everything possible to get the Watson deal? That’s how all salaries work. The next guy up tries to beat the current salary. Stop it. He was a great pick. They traded away his 1,000 yard receiver. They have a bottom 5 receiver group. The only guy who could probably play on other teams is Bateman, who makes Sammy Watkins look like Ironman. the ravens are the anti Steelers in terms of drafting receivers.

I’ve grown to really like Campbell but once again, we are going to miss Edmunds more people want to admit. Also the idea of using a 1st round pick on a MLB after losing a good one seems like awful roster construction. Especially when Campbell is going to be a liability in coverage. I like the player so I won’t absolutely hate the pick but it definitely won’t be my favorite.

They never get the credit but it has perfect weather but San Diego has a terrible sports history. Have they ever had a title? They also had 2 pro sports teams leave. This is actually a pretty big moment for them.

I mean he’s a 26 year old former MVP, Heisman winner, who has basically a 100 qb rating, who is the best rushing qb ever and has a 45-16 record, who is struggling to get a deal signed. This never happens. Scrub qbs get paid all the time. Daniel Jines is getting $40 million after throwing 15 td passes. obviously there are a lot of valid reasons why this has been a tough negotiation. But to act like there are other reasons that makes people question things is valid too. He was called a rb (and still is by some fans) after an amazing college career. He got drafted behind garbage qbs. Everything he does good gets discounted. I get both sides but with dudes like Wentz, Goff, Jones, Murray, etc get paid, it’s weird that a guy with such a better resume doesn’t. And I get the reasons but Jackson has been disrespect since he entered the nfl. He’s 26 and you yadda yadda a mvp.

That’s fair. Loved this guy in college and has played in some big games. At worst, a quality, veteran backup.

He is definitely not the best in coverage but these stats can be very misleading. Most safeties will get destroyed in one on one coverage. I think McDermott might be the best d back coach in the nfl. I think he will get the best version of Rapp.

As a former S (got moved to OLB thanks to the weight room/ and also blowing several coverages 😬), I am kinda an expert on the position. Loved the Hyde and Poyer signings (check the tapes!!!). so i kinda love this signing. loved him in a college. the ultimate ballhawk and will compete in the run game. not the best coverage but i trust mcdermott to coach him up. i think it is a great depth signing and give the age/ injury history of our starters, i think it could be a really good under the radar signing. also, excited to have a part asian guy on the team as well!

He might be washed but such a good leader in the lockerroom. Not sure how much I’d pay for that but for a decent price, I’d welcome him. He wins everywhere he goes and wants that ring. great guy. Completely different players. CC is not a pass rusher but more all round DE. I also was so sick of hearing how dominant of a pass rusher he was and then ending yup with 5 sacks at the end of the season.

Agree. Jets probably won’t trade him to us anyways but I think he would have been a great fit with Allen. His numbers his rookie year with and without Wilson were crazy. He played with a garbage, d bag qb who was killing his future earnings. Probably could have handled it better but if your money was being evaluated by a guy who couldn’t get you the ball, you might be upset too.
