Frank Gore never contemplated retirement
C.Biscuit97 replied to WhoTom's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree on his longevity but that belongs in a place for the greatest players in the history of the game? Did you ever watch Gore and think HOFer? I never did. He was a solid to good rb for a long time but he never jumped off the screen. McCoy did that. That’s what the HOF should be. -

I think so too but these HOFs have gotten way too loose with who gets in. I have never watched Gore and thought HOfer. Neither have most fans. But he’s had a long and good career and that’s amazing in itself. I think by that logic Matt Stafford will be a HOF if he plays long enough and I just think that’s wrong. -

That’s why HOFs are corny now then. It would be like Harold Baines getting in baseball. Again, very good player but I think your resume should be better than 5 pro bowls in 14 years, 0 all pros, and 0 rushing titles. -

Gore, while a good to very good player, is why HOF become watered down. Very few times have anyone thought of him as a dominant HOF talent. His numbers are high because he was able to stick around for a long time (a skill in its own but shouldn’t earn you HOF status). Imo, the HOF should be the greatest and most dominant players. I don’t think Gore, who has had a good and long career, Falls in that category. McCoy has a better shot IMO. -

Gotta see how the season goes. Gore is at that age where he could break down after 4 games. And if people wanted to pay me millions and I was healthy, I’d keep playing too. Gore’s career is so funny. He’s not a HOF but he is going to have amazing career numbers. He also used to get hurt all the team and now he never does. It’s so strange but awesome for him. -
Welcome to Buffalo, Maddy Glab!

Everyone but a few people would stop posting. So easy to take shots at people when no one knows what you look like. Bunch of Brad Pitts here I tell you! -
I means it goes both ways too. Peterman looks good, I think he can be a nfl starting QBs!!! its the good and bad about media and fans watching practice. All of this stuff is pretty meaningless until the regular season. Practice is for making mistakes, trying different lineups, implementing gameplans. Everything reported should be taken with a grain of salt. You just hope to come out of preseason with as few injuries as possible.

I believe there is a plan to extend the subway (I know people from WNy who didn’t even know BuffAlo had a subway!) to extend to AMHERST. So if you build the stadium in the Perry projects and then build another stop there, that could help with some of the traffic. I love the Ralph and OP. But it’s a matter of time before we have a downtown stadium.

Mitch Morse in concussion protocol
C.Biscuit97 replied to *******'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Generally agree. However, any concussion is a concern. Given Morse’s history, it should be a huge concern. If he was a punter, I’d be less worried. -
While our oline certainly wasn’t good last year, I think you overstating how bad it was. https://www.pff.com/news/pro-2018-nfl-offensive-line-rankings-all-32-teams-units-after-week-17. And you certainly are underestimating how many bad olines this franchise has fielded.

Yeah, it’s a hell of a debate. Again it’s early but set your family up for life or possibly be a horror story of what CTE can make people. -

So given some of the stuff we’ve seen with some these athletes ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Players_of_American_football_who_committed_suicide )should it be all about the money? Definitely makes for an interesting discussion. its super early but some fans are seriously underestimating how devastating concussions can be. -

My understanding is why there can be stronger ones, every concussion is a bad one. And they start adding up and just become easier and easier to get. That’s why it can be a very big deal. Especially in football. Especially at a position where he literally bash heads on every play. -

He has a concussion history and just might have got one 4 days into camp with very little contact. I don’t think you understand how Head injuries work. It’s not like put some ice on it and take a practice off. -

I swear there was just a debate over the concussion concerns being overrated. Head injuries should never be underrated. He literally could get touched the wrong way and it could cause a concussion. Very good player but this is terrible news. The other thing you have to think about is what his family starts to think. Is it worth it any more? Sad. Probably not. Sucks because he is a good player but that was a worrisome history.
