Played plenty of sports for a lot of years. While there is some truth in this, the best teams I played on had the most talent. The best football teams I was in were when we had the best qb. I played with a bunch of great guys but we won’t good enough. Guys would pump themselves for every practice but we weren’t good enough. While culture is somewhat important, it is completely overblown. Did anyone ever question the culture of the Jauron and Gailey teams? A bunch of hard working, good guys. Guess what? They weren’t good enough because they didn’t have the talent or qb. This isn’t high school football. The Cowboys of 90s were terrible people. Read the bad guys won about the 86 Mets (one of my favorite route teams ever). The Pats won SBs with Aaron Hernandez. Our own Bills of the 90s weren’t exactly angels. They won because they had an insane amount of talent. And those Yankees spent a ton of money on a sport without a salary cap.

Clowney Trending for some reason.

I’m with O’Brien on that. Sad because he looks like he should dominate. I just remember him having 3 sacks his last year in college and thinking that was a little scary. -
Mitch Morse in concussion protocol

I definitely remember some people saying it. I don’t really pay attention to o linemen so I freely admit I didn’t know about it. Really good player but this is going to hang over the signing. -

You don’t think the problem with that? That people on a message board know about his concussion history and yet we made him the highest paid C in the nfl? It was always a hugely risky signing. Fingers crossed it works out but if it doesn’t, they should be ripped. -

It was a good not great defense that was pumped up by getting stomped in a few games where teams took their foot off the pedal in the 2nd half. if this defense got an elite pass rusher, it has potential to be great. I don’t think JC is an elite pass rusher but he would be the best DE on this team. Definitely isn’t worth what he is going to get paid though. I am kinda indifferent on getting him because of his lack of elite pass rush skills. -
Dak Prescott seeking new extension worth $40M per year.
C.Biscuit97 replied to BillsFan4's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No one has said Dak is the best qb in the league. It just seems like you hold other non Bills qbs to a higher standard than you do our guys. Dak has a good start to his career and I would be very happy if Allen comes closer to his start, -

If Allen is 32–16, has a 66.1%, 67 passing tds to 25 ints, 96 qb rating, and 18 rushing tds, how much would you pay him? I don’t think Dak is great but for a team doing backflips over picking the “right” Josh and his 67 qb rating, we would be very, very happy if Allen has the same start to his career as Dak. -
Jets CB Trumaine Johnson may miss week 1

Being happy for other teams is both bad karma and a loser’s mentality. Allen averages 172.8 passing yards/ game. -

If Josh Allen had Dak’s numbers and wins, Bills fans would be willing to give him Buffalo. -

I don’t think some of you understand how negotiations work. Dak’s should have started with a really low offer! Prediction: he gets a new deal for a lot less than $40 million. -
Steven A is awesome now. Very entertaining and has become self aware. Much better than Skip or Cowherd. I think it is how TO used to behaved. They both acted like idiots but would eventually get their way. There are a lot of Bills fans who ignored Incognito’s behavior and would still welcome him back.

AZ Cardinals Front Office in trouble again

I like their head coach. We’ll see though but I think he has a chance to be a good one. It is a good low risk move for Miami. -
Yeah, I don’t get the Ray Ray love. He wasn’t even better than Hunter Renfroe in college, who looks like a 37 year old accountant.

He played one year for a team that fired their OC 4 games into the year and promoted a guy who has never been an OC; had a defensive 1st time defensive head coach who got fired after one season; his star rb coming back from a major injury; one of the worst o lines in nfl; old Fitz (they drafted 3 wrs this year); and still had similar passing stats to Allen, who some are ready to put in Canton. Making judgement off any rookie qb’s season is kinda insane, much less that dysfunctional of one. And it’s the worthless preseason but he looked pretty good in game 1. -
Clearly, Flutie who passed for 360 yards in his own playoff loss couldn’t have possibly put up the amazing 10-22 for 131 yards passing that RJ did. Flutie had his flaws but he wasn’t completely garbage like RJ. Weird that you don’t like the last 2 qbs who took us to the playoffs. They both had their faults but I enjoyed watching playoffs games and wins other scrubs like RJ taking sacks so he won’t lower his completion %. Actually, the defensive players are becoming smaller and you aren’t allowed to blast players the way you used to. It was a much more physical game when Flutie played. Why do you think little guys like Cole and Edelman survive now? They would have been killed back in the day. Much, much different game now.

Agreed and Barkley is barely serviceable but he has a little stronger arm. It’s kinda terrible how many bad qbs there are in the league. Not many Frank Reichs out there.
