He is learning a brand new offense on a new team. He also had 3 OCs in college and 2 on the Cardinals. He may be a bust but he has been handed absolute crap. It’s like EJ. Really raw dude. While I have questions about Daboll, this is a huge benefit to Allen. A guy from Canisius would have thrown for 4.

His bad season last year would have been the best season of any qb in bills history. It is crazy that he keeps playing though. Last year would have been the perfect time to walk away. Rumors are this is his last year.

Agreed. To put it mildly, he has been awful as a NFL OC. At the same time, 2 of the best coaches ever hired him. Flip side, any poster could have been successful in those roles. Imo, much like when we hired Dennison, I worry about forcing a qb into an offense that doesn’t fit him. I feel like we are making Allen be like Brady when he should be playing more like Cam Newton or Russell Wilson.

If you’re a top 10 pick as qb playing in a small conference, you should dominate it. Romo did it. Jimmy G did it. Wentz won national championships. Allen didn’t make first or second time MWC his last year in college. So I don’t think it’s really a stretch to think that a guy who couldn’t dominate the MWC might not be able to dominate the NFL. If Allen succeeds, he is the exception to the rule. But again if Allen was picked by another team, we would be laughing at them. But he’s ours now.

This is lazy. In today’s football, 56% is college is below average. 56% in the MWC, where he didn’t make an of the All MWC, is pretty bad for a top 10 qb. A top 10 qb should dominate the MWC. Allen has all the tools to be a star. But to pretend like there aren’t some red flags is hiding your head in the sand.

Good post and I agree. I am in the minority and I hope I’m wrong but I have some major concerns with Daboll. With Goff and Mitch T, they received coaches who have had proven success with good nfl offenses. Daboll has never had that. You really think it is crazy to think the Jets could be equal or better than the Bills? Honestly, that’s kinda crazy. They are eerily similar teams with 2nd year qbs.

EJ has the Carolina comeback (number 2 defense in the nfl that year) and it’s insulting to compare him to Peterman. ?

I mean I don’t know how people can argue you this. He struggled to hit 150 yards passing in games. He needs to be much, much better as a passer. We upgraded the wrs (still no number 1 though) so it’s time to see improvement,

Why is that unfortunately? And i think we all want Allen to be great and finally have our guy. But he seems like some are doing a victory lap already over a 52% passer with a 67 qb rating. There is a ton left to prove.

I just happened to see the Rosen drive. It’s preseason and it’s garbage and meaningless. But very few young players throw a prettier ball. The problem is he needs a good oline to make those throws. For some reason, people hate the guy but he has legit talent.

Agree. It always seems like there are some underlying reasons. We’d be lucky to have Allen become 80% as good as Cam. But laughing at someone getting hurt doesn’t seem like bad juju at all. If a Bill gets hurt tonight, it’s on everyone who laughed at Cam. ? preseason is a joke.

I think a Bills player is different than an Actor or musician. There is a connection with our city. Mario, besides some motivation issues, kept his nose clean and was one of the first big free agents to choose Buffalo (obviously money helped). When he was right, he was one of the best defensive Bills players I have ever seen. all that stuff just makes you seem like a cold hearted human being with not much empathy. Also given what we know about football, it’s not a stretch to think he career directly might have played into that night. So I won’t laugh at the “crazy” homeless guy talking to himself on the curb, I’m not going to laugh at Mario in one of his worst moments. Overall, I like the back and forth with you, even though you are wrong all the time. But your post just sums up what is wrong with the world. Laugh at other misfortunes and lack of empathy.

A rich guy, who had his burglar alarm go off, had coke in his house. Who is he hurting? There are plenty of rich dudes I hate but this would be moronic to make them go to jail for it, large fine, community service, and counseling.

If he gets jail time for this, the judicial system is beyond broken then.
