Strongly disagree Dave. Rodgers and his postseason stats of 36 td to 10 int and 99 qb rating are clearly holding back the Packers. What a scrub!!! I can’t believe he only led the Packers to 45 points against the Cards. What a loser. and the only good thing about the awful beer prices is it allows me to sober up. But I do agree cheaper beers could be a disaster for Bills fans.

Oh yeah for sure. The Jets have some good pieces on defense but they have some ways to go to catch the Bills. I dont think some fans get how bad our offense has been under McDermott. If we can get to 20th, which is such a pathetically low bar, they should be in the playoff hunt.

He was terrible because McDermott hired a west coast OC (which many people knew was a terrible fit for him), then traded the best receiver and tried to replace him with scrubs. I wasn’t the biggest Tyrod guy but McDermott did him no favors. Either way, it’s about Allen and Darnold going forward. No excuses for either coach.

Tyrod was flawed but he forced him into a west coast offense and forced Peterman into the lineup. But they both are going to be determined by the QBs they have now. Very even football teams.

That would be my other point about Gase. Tannehill was whatever, Cutler sucks. Basically, since Manning, Darnold is the best qb (by far) Gase has had. It definitely can blow up there but I won’t be so quick to dismiss them as some other posters have. They definitely have some talent.

Yup. Whaley should have put his foot down more with Rex. He had the number 2 defense in the nfl and Rex ruined it. Rex was in love with Clemson. and Lawson is better than a D+. He is an average NFL DE. He is this generation’s Chris Kelsey. Super disappointing for that high of a pick but it could have been much worse.

And Gase is 2-2 vs Belichick in their last four games. Trust me, I’m not saying Gase is better than McDermott. At this point, I think they are pretty much the same. I think McDermott has the better head coaching personality but he has his flaws as well. IMO, the Bills and Jets are basically the same team. Whichever qb progress the most will determine each team’s season. That’s fair. But I think we are more in a league of specialize coaches. If Gase just works with the offense and Darnold and lets Williams run the D, the Jets should be fine. I don’t think McDermott has much say in offensive gameplans. I will say the Jets’ coaching situation has way more potential to blow up however.

He wasn’t close to the OC in NE. And any human being could be the Bama OC, that’s why they switch every year. All I heard all last off-season is Dennison was the worst OC in the history of football and we never have a worst passing offense now that him and Tyrod were gone. Well, somehow we got worse. Daboll has a ton to prove before he gets a head coaching job. and Frazier seems like a nice guy but he will never be a nfl head coach again.

Darnold definitely needs to take care of the ball better. But if he is a turnover machine, what do you call a qb with a higher int % and more fumbles in less games? I’m just curious why do you think McDermott is such a better coach? Gase is a huge weirdo but he actually has a higher winning % and it wasn’t like he was coaching a loaded Miami team.

You don’t think Bell’s body is in better shape now than opposed to if he took 400 nfl quality hits in a season? Crowell averaged 5.5 ypc and they improved their oline. I don’t think he will be Bell on the Steelers but he is still a good Rb.

Jake Delhomme And the problem is even on the practice squad, you aren’t getting game level reps against NFL caliber players. If the NFL could figure out a minor league, a lot more qbs would have a chance of succeeding. We expect rookies to just light up the nfl right assuming and then get rid of them the second they stumble.

Yes, the goal is to make the qb uncomfortable. But coaches preach to finish. There’s a reason Mack get paid what he does and Hughes gets what he does. If Hughes was consistently putting up double digits sack seasons, he would be making a ton more money. but the bigger point is I believe we are one great pass rusher from having an elite defense. It’s why I’d put this group behind the 2015 team. That d line would just win us games and make guys like Preston Brown look good.

I prefer unbiased sources like Fox. No one has been brainwashed by them. Very few news stations are unbiased. And think that is a huge part of the problem in this country. Personally, I don’t care what some talking head has to say. I don’t just go one way all the time because of my party (2 choices is pathetic too, bloods and crips).

Sacks also create forced fumbles and long yardage situations which make first downs harder to convert and can force qbs into making bad throws that turn into turnovers. Don’t get wrong pressures are good but there’s a reason why sacks are the dominant category to use for pass rushers. Are people talking about how many pressures Bruce Smith had? You get paid big bucks for finishing.
