  1. OK but if Pitt loses to KC and Ravens win last two, they'd then have 5 losses and would win division. So if Bills rest their starters week 17 and 18 and lose, wouldn't' that then give the Ravens the #2 seed as both have 5 losses and Ravens beat Bills? If Ravens lose to Texans then last two weeks mean nothing for Bills
  2. What team is King Kong playing for these days?
  3. I think Henry being on the Ravens will hurt Jackson's chances as many will argue at the least Henry made Jackson look much better. So I'm rooting for Texans to beat Ravens and Pitt to beat KC on X-Mas On the other hand if KC wins, then week 18 Bills can rest many players.
  4. Not that they even won all that much, but just the expectations were enough two years later for Granato to get fired.
  5. So I seem to recall that I was watching the game in a bowling alley in location I lived in early 70's, that the only reason for me thinking that's when it occurred? LOL
  6. Thought it was early 70s?? But maybe??
  7. Headline in article in Buffalo News: Bills notebook: Amari Cooper 'waiting (his) whole life to be on a team like this' Couple quotes from article: “It’s absolutely amazing,” Cooper told The Buffalo News. “Honestly, I’ve been waiting my whole life to be on a team like this.” “Obviously, I’m a receiver,” Cooper said. “Every receiver wants the ball. But, I mean, I’m in Year 10. And so, what’s most important to me is winning. And so, I think we definitely have the formula. “So, I think it’s actually kind of cool, like going from 14 targets to zero targets, and we win, we beat a great team, actually a potential matchup down the road" “But we are part of a team to where guys go down, and the offense is still putting up 40, 50 points. That’s truly a team that has a chance.” I'm sure Diggs would say the same!
  8. Not likely they'd do this as the mentality if every time we get the ball, we're going to score, so why take 3 when you can go and get 7. That's why it is only typically called with seconds to go. Even if you only got one 1st down likely kicking then would be shorter. I do recall one time seeing it happen, think it was in the early 70's and involved the Giants?
  9. Recall hearing an interview one time with Patrick Ewing when still at Georgetown, could hardly speak, 20 years later or so, night and day difference.
  10. Funny too on Sunday heard his state how he has the best coach there.
  11. Yes will agree Detroit is in even worse shape the Bills are/were. That's also somewhat misleading as that's only listing players on IR while the Bills have had a number of players out 2 to 3 weeks nbut didn't ever make the IR list.
  12. The part in bold is the problem. He's expected to win and hasn't done anything spectacular from year prior. They've got a little better each year, but only a small improvement over expectations. When you consider how many people we questioning if Bills would even make playoffs, agreed he should be considered much more.
  13. Kind of amazing when supposedly the Steelers have a huge national following and Philly& south Jersey have much large population. Nantz may be right, Bills have become America's team!!
  14. Probably right on that Nantz/Romo for Jet game, is terrible choices. Not getting them 3 weeks in a row, this coming week is Ian Eagle & Charles Davis While Sat 28th all 3 games have playoff implications, they are also pretty weak games. Cardinals Rams is the only one where both teams have a shot at playoffs.
  15. Lets not forget too that their defense lost both starting safeties, then Milano got hurt and back now, but still looks rusty or maybe is washed?. More of the key injuries we've had this season have also been on defensive side of ball too. Meanwhile on offensive side the only person gone on, and certainly a big one was Diggs. But even there, how big a loss is debatable. Just compared with 3 games to go, Mack Hollins has better stats in most categories that G Davis did last year. Wouldn't be surprised if they sign him in off season to maybe a 2 year deal?
  16. The three teams ahead of us all do have a better record. We are #2 in Athletic rankings behind Eagles Rankings are also based a lot on "what have you done for me lately" and 2 weeks ago the Bills lost. Without that loss they'd likely be #1 as they were #2 in a number of polls after beating KC and SF.
  17. Yeah, but look what the other team did too. I think the Bill's have more of an advantage having Allen playing outside in the cold against other teams as he has such a rocket arm. Would Allen's stats likely be better, probably yes, but not sure the Bills would be better. If you have Allen as your fantasy QB, then a dome would be great. But if you're looking for team to win the most, outdoors is better when you have Allen.
  18. I read this article too. While all of this had been rumored and prior connecting the dots got you here to the same conclusion, this article was the closest to giving more specifics about what exactly was going on. As was stated above things changed around the time Brady took over and then Diggs sulked the rest of year.
  19. Really needed a 3rd choice of maybe. If there I'd have voted maybe instead of yes. Barring Douglas willing to take a discount for next season, I think Elam will be the starting CB
  20. OK thought it was 10 days or did they change it?
  21. Douglas hasn't played that well this year. That may knock his price down enough so he does stay in Buffalo. If the extra money meant thye could keep Cooper as the #2 and Elam is the other CB, I'd take that "trade"
  22. I'm guessing they let Douglas walk and Elam is the other starter next year at CB. And likely draft one Day 2 as a backup plan
  23. LOL Yeah I went back and re-watched that too.
  24. They did take 1 second off. When Allen took the knee, there were 11 seconds left
