There were probably threads last year about this time stating the same thing about Bass. WRT Haack the punter, I think the Bills moved on from Bojo for three reasons; He was asking for more money than they wanted to pay him Maybe they did get close on $$, but then he wanted a shorter deal and the Bills wanted a longer commitment from him He was shaky on holding While I agree with you on the punting was less than stellar I can't help but wonder if the Bills were willing to give up some yards on punting in exchange for better holds on kicks. The way this offense looks there's maybe more kicking opportunities than punts. Seems more games are won/lost on made/missed FG's than a long punt return. They do happen, but not as much as the field goals. Plus seems like Haack's issue is distance, not hang time so yeah maybe some yards are given up, but little in returns. I'll also add at this point, Bass has developed good timing with him so would be real hesitant to mess with that as now would be starting over with much less time to both get up to speed and on the same page.

Agree with the first three you listed, not sure if he's behind Thomas or Hamlin?? He likely is only because they drafted Hamlin, will admit Hamlin looked better yesterday.

Certainly a blocked punt would be pretty bad, as long as that doesn't happen, overall I'll take the better holding over less gross yards He's only had one punt ever blocked in his career. LOL Maybe that's his strategy, lull the defense into thinking they're gonna block it, only to end up with a roughing the kicker call instead.

I'd maybe take Trent Edwards 1st 4 games of the 2008 season. At least that was entire games and against first stringers. Even the entire 1st half of that year he looked pretty decent, recall he was starting even get some national props.

Agree on Mike Love, think he fits the role of give him some extra time to make another teams roster Disagree on T Thompson, thought he's looks decent Wasn't McCloud the guy with the Int yesterday?? Think I'd hang onto him as maybe he has trade value?? I remember the episode clearly, he was getting all kinds of hate mail and threats, etc every week. I also recall after stating every week they'd lose their regular season game, in the Wild card game he reversed himself and predicted they'd win and they did. I was actually recalling that whole thing not that long ago, but the one little detail I didn't remember at all was that it was Paul McGuire. To me what would be worth exploring if I were the Bills is asking Mitch if he'd consider adding a 2nd year extension with the agreement that the Bills will trade him to whomever wants him after this year. But that would net the Bills something in return and in exchange for the extension, give him some extra $$'s this year. Maybe it's half mil signing bonus or something??

I think a guy like Hodgins may end up on IR before making the final 53 as with the WR core the team has, really not a place for him. Based on last weeks catch and this weeks PR, don't think they can risk cutting Stevenson, so think he makes the 53 as the 6th WR. For that matter if a WR were to get hurt, maybe they just go with 5 for awhile then too or likely can find a FA as good as Hodgins to become the 6th WR. I think the same with Doyle. Doubt they want to risk cutting him, but can't see two rookie OT's being the teams only backups there. Another name too is Hamlin. To me though, these are all guys you just put on IR before final 53 and say see you next year! Team has enough depth without them. I believe if you're in the league 4 or more years not subject to waivers. You become a FA once cut. No don't believe so.

You're crazy if you think he's tradable. Maybe if we throw in a draft pick a team that's not going anywhere might take him. Or maybe Addison and Kumerow to GB LOL Trades like that for high priced players rarely happen in the NFL and when they do, they are usually for legit top ranked players. Not for a player that is probably over paid to start with and likely has a year or two left in the tank. I do wish I were a mind reader though. Would love to know if Beane would have re-done Addison's contract if he' have known he was drafting to DE in the 1st two rounds.

He's out there playing with the 2nd and 3rd string for the most part so hard to gauge. I agree he's been less than expected, but not sure they'd want to go with such an inexperienced backup in Williams if one of the main two were to get hurt. I'm also not even sure we'll deviate from the past two seasons game plans and make him active on game days.

I looking at getting tickets too. Jax in early Nov can still be warm so unless you're a sun lover I'd try and get tickets on the west side lower down as that will be the first area in the shade. It appears that's the side behind the Jax bench.

First off I'm not one to get all excited whenever the Bills are slighted in any way. Fir the most part, who cares. But was just reading Sporting News Fantasy QB rankings and kind of amazed #1 Mahomes No surprise there #2 Murray #3 Allen #4 Wilson #5 Jackson Murray at #2, that to me is crazy based on what he's done so far. I'd put Allen, Wilson and Jackson ahead of him at this point and I'm no fan of Jackson. Their thinking with Allen ranked #3 is that the Bills will run more, but still seems crazy that they think Murray will do at that much in total to rank him #2 IMO Diggs is the #3 WR BTW Bass #9 of kickers. But are there other positions where the Pats and Fish are thinner than the Bills? You have to have some weaker positions than others, every team does, it's just a question of where. Personally I'd vote more for picking up a vet for depth on the offensive line. To me that looks worse. On the other hand O lineman rarely come out of the game other than for injury while secondary are always going in and out. But would like to see better experienced depth at OT.

It's training camp. I'm sure if we'd been in the middle of the regular season, he'd have played every game and got a couple of practices in each week. Now who cares. So yeah, get him back next week for some work, he'll be all set to go about the time they cut down to 53. Yes McD sounded concerned, but likely due to specifically being asked abut it, so he said yes we want to get him back out there soon.

You can also argue a good team doesn't let their opponent back into games when up by double digits like the Bills did against the Rams and think it was the Raiders. Granted in the 2nd half of the season they did a better job of beating teams up pretty good, but I'm sure KC fans wouldn't be too worried about this. Having said that, I will say teams typically don't have that many consecutive good years, so that's in favor of KC falling off, but could also make that argument for the Bills too. Considering how easily they beat the Bills twice, makes your post is a pretty laughable argument.

I'd love to read Beane's mind and find out, if he had known he was going to draft two DE with his first two picks, would he have restructured Addison and Butler? I voted for Johnson as right now he seems lowest on the pecking order, but wouldn't be completely shocked if it was Addison that was cut. Every year there's always one surprising cut; McCoy, Hause.

I tend to agree with most of your comments I think Jones and Zimmer are heading down the wrong side of the roster bubble, in Jones case there are others that can fill his role, but also provide other playing time opportunities too. For the O line, I think in the next 2 to 3 weeks Doyle will somehow get hurt and end up on IR. (As we speak Beane has a call into Tonya Harding to discuss.) At that point a combination of spare DL and WR are traded for good backup tackle and Hart is then also gone. Completely agree with concept that Beane isn't going to want to rookies as the only backup tackles on the team Take away the tenth O lineman, could bring Jones, another WR back instead. Think with 10 DL, not sure six LB's are needed. Not sold on Hamlin making the roster either, think it's the other guy, can't recall his name makes the roster instead.

Regarding #5 & 6, the punter Haack; I've commented before, I wonder if a big reason Bojo is gone is because yes he wanted more money and sounds like didn't want to commit for 3 years. But I wonder if a bigger thing was they didn't like Bojo's holding on kicks. How many times were the laces pointed the wrong way both on kicks missed and even some made ones. On others was the ball spot off maybe an inch or two from where Bass was expecting it? Bojo just wasn't very consistent??
