  1. This is no different than prior years, strictly references people who can't get reception. But even then prior I've entered addresses of a nursing home in Florida and a brand new built house that there'd be no way DTV would be able to tell if I could or couldn't get reception. Every single address I ever entered stated it wasn't eligible. In the past day I've read some links that say indicate yes anyone can now get the streaming service stand alone, but just as many links basically say nothing has changed. Correct, think the issue isn't the HOA specific, but you can't alter THEIR property, only your own. So if you have a unit that faces south great hang it out your window (as long as it doesn't require holes to be drilled in their building) , but if you face north only, you're not allowed to run a cable up to the roof and place it up there without the HOA's permission.
  2. It's only a stand alone IF you can't get DTV due to reception and every address I ever put in stated was not eligible, including a nursing home in Florida and a brand new constructed house that never had DTV at this address. I think they also have a stand alone for college students. Unless something has changed for this coming season, no you can't easily get ST without DTV
  3. But I don't think it's making much of any money for AT&T so can't see them bidding very high for it. They may bid, but at a lower price. The one thing that could change would be if AT&T bids it also as a stand alone package, no need at all for DTV (and yes in theory can do that today, but only if you have an address that can't get a signal). But that wouldn't help DTV at all then. The one big difference this time is this is the first negotiation between the NFL and AT&T, prior was always with DTV and they seem to be more hard line and may not care much about DTV. Believe recently they even just spun it off? I do wonder if the NFL wants to get into another situation where you need a certain package to view it, i.e. Apple TV, U-Tube, AT&T or would they rather give it to someone like an ESPN or Fox Sports and then up to whatever providers wish to carry it. Or a Yahoo or Prime where no additional packages required. I 'd think if they wish to stop all the illegal viewing sites may be best to go that way as people would be more willing to pay an amount of money strictly for ST and not 100 other channels they don't wish to view. I do agree 100% with your statement in bold, but I'll take the other side as would be shocked if it's back on DTV
  4. If it's like MLB, you save about $30 for a team specific package compared to the entire thing. It's priced so hardly worth it. Yeah but this time pretty sure it's different. The last time ST package was renewed was about a year prior to AT&T buying DTV. Ever since DTV has got much tighter with discounts, giving away ST, etc. as AT&T told them you can't keep losing money. Read articles in past few months stating AT&T isn't even all that interested in it anymore. They are more pushing their own streaming packages themselves.
  5. Just received an offer in the mail to come back to DTV, think I got rid of them 4 or 5 years ago. What surprised me about the offer though was $69 a month, likely in the fine print, that was only the first year price. But ST was NOT included. In the past usually around this time of year, all their offers would include ST. But maybe due to AT&T losing too much money through them and potentially being the last year of the contract with the NFL, they aren't including it?
  6. I think one of the rookies (my bet is on one of the tackles) will end up slipping on a banana peel or something and spend the year on IR so that will open up one more spot for someone else. Do agree that there may be a surprising cut someplace on the line. Ford also has battles through being jerked around in 2 years. How many 2nd year players can say they've started multiply NFL games and three different positions on the line? Can't believe that's helped him all that much.
  7. He's super careful about sun exposure after being very close with Jim Johnson who died from skin cancer. I know I've read comments about that prior. Plus he is very fair skinned. This message posted by a person who visits the dermatologist twice a year and always has a couple things zapped off. Is this a teams competition at all or strictly individual? If teams I'll place my money on the Romo/Soranstam/whomever team. Recall Romo supposedly is a pretty good golfer to start with and didn't see any other former pro's on the list.
  8. So I've heard that if you live in an address that can't receive DTV you can get ST without. But anytime I entered an address it would state not eligible. I entered the home that I lived in which was a brand new construction which meant there was never a DTV hookup at this address and for all anyone knew, could have been 20 feet underground. I even entered the address of a nursing home in Florida which you weren't erecting a dish in her room and it still wouldn't let me. I've never found an address that would work.
  9. You still haven't responded as to where you live. If you live in the Buffalo/Western NY area, every game on Fox and CBS is on local TV, so the cheapest as was mentioned already get an antenna. ESPN games will also be on some local channel. If not directly in Buffalo but Western NY same is true except the two ESPN games will not be available over the air. If you live outside the Western NY, there is no streaming options other than Sunday Ticket via a Direct TV subscription. Some people claim you can get ST via streaming only, but I've never had any luck with that. Outside the US Game Pass is the cheapest
  10. But by November many could be jumping off. I'll give Meyers 2 years before he resigns due to health issues again.
  11. If I go to watch a replay on the video board afterwards and what I'm watching is backwards from what I just saw on the field, it just would mess me up, like what am I watching that looks all different from what I just saw. It shouldn't matter, but one less thing to think about. I live in NC now right on the coast and have spent a fair amount of time in Florida too, for the most part we have higher summer temps than Florida does, rarely does Florida have a temp of 100 degrees, but we'll average 3 or 4 a year here, one year had like a dozen. But the extreme hot season is much shorter here than Florida, basically Memorial day to Labor day is the brutal part, whereas Florida still can hit 90 in March and till early Nov sometimes. Saw a photo posted and showed the Jax bench side in the shade so probably that is also the camera angle side too
  12. That was the same issue had in Charlotte to. Opposite side for replays AND in the sun and this was mid September. Actually was a cool day for September in Charlotte only upper 80's or so. but full sun. Had club level seats so watched more than half the game inside in AC. That was Mc'd first year, Bills almost pulled out a win by Zay Jones dropped his first potential TD pass a Bill in the last minute. The home team, is on the shade side from what I can tell in Jacksonville, plus this is November. I'm guessing that's the camera side, but not certain.
  13. Does anyone know for certain which side of the field the replay cameras at the jag's stadium are shot from? (visiting or home side?) I went to a Bills game couple years back in Charlotte and my seats were on the opposite side of the field as the replay camera angle was from and it drove me crazy watching all the replays on the large screen in the endzone from the opposite viewpoint of when I'm looking at the field. Looking into getting tickets for the Bills game down there, but want to be on the same side as the replays are shot from.
  14. Just curious as to where or how you saw video of what was done in mini camp? Was there detailed columns or video posted someplace? I'm not a big X and O's guy so if there were links here to the video or some in depth technical column, likely I'd have skipped looking at that anyway. I do wonder if that will be different this year and go with 3 true RB's and either Jones or a Kumerow more as a ST guy. Would seem to make more sense to have Kumerow in that role as could also fill role as extra WR if needed as we appear to be more of a passing team than running. Maybe instead of 3rd QB will go go with extra RB being active as Berida does provide a different role with speed. I fixed your post for you!
  15. My god, we need to start rioting in the streets! This is outrageous. We all need to stop attending games until the media takes us serious, boycott the stadium. Lets show them we mean business!
  16. Wow only one reception for Kumerow and it went for a TD! I do wonder if part of the Ertz talks heating back up are due to Beasley possibly not being a reliable option. Maybe then they'd go with Diggs, Sanders, Ertz, and Knox, more 2 TE sets. Plus still have Davis and McKenzie in their bag of tricks.
  17. Am aware, but does make me wonder if someone who has the money they have will find away around that. They are going over to dig a new gas well!! Actually do wonder what are the rules around family members and minors. Many of these participants are only in their teens, some early teens. Do they still live in the Olympic village on their own?
  18. Think the jet is going to be heading to Japan to watch their daughter in the Olympics
  19. Well your original post was: "I don’t see Knox ever becoming what we hoped for him to be. Time to move on." To me that meant you've given up on him and see little chance of improvement. I do agree in that if he doesn't show improvement this season, then yes move on. I'm fine with Ertz coming in or Henry, but also not ready to completely give up on Knox yet either.
  20. Agree with the mental part, but would want to give him one more full year. He's really not had any TE's here to learn from that were good pass catching role models like what Etrz would bring and came from a college team that rarely used the TE when he was there. If they had signed Olson last year, they would have had one there.
  21. He has the physical skill set that only a handful of TE's in the league possess. He also played in an offense in college that hardly used the TE so he's still very raw but to me you hate to give up on those skills. Add in the injuries, Covid, I'd be very reluctant to give up on him now. You say draft a TE next year. Agree there, if there's little to no improvement this season from him, then wouldn't argue with moving on, but would like to see 3 full seasons prior.
  22. Actually was about 1/3 of the way into his 3rd season when they traded him. Plus wasn't there some issue that happened that prompted the sudden departure. Gave up on a play or something
  23. It certainly is a position they could improve on. To me it says we're bringing in another TE who's still likely pretty good, but is approaching the end of his career. If Knox does show good improvement, keep him and let Ertz go in 1 to 2 years. If there's still no improvement this year from Knox, then agree time to move on.
  24. Sure, If you want to say he's struggled, hasn't looked good, etc, that's fine, but when you say "time to move on" you're saying my opinion is I'm smarter than the coaches. You very well may be right as more players fail than succeed overall, but if we were to move on from every player after 2 years who's struggled, we'd be back to being a bad team again
