The first two weeks Williams struggled so would have been easy to slide him in there, however this past week Williams was very good. Ford started the year out good, but did struggle the last game. Think will depend on what happens as year goes on. If Williams struggles, easy one for one replacement. If Ford becomes the weak link, could try and slide Williams into Fords spot and play Brown at RT. But wondering if Williams at guard would be any better after as long as he's played tackle here.

Everyone here always knocked Star as providing nothing. It may have been that 2 and 3 years back, the overall defensive line didn't do that much so teams could more key on him. Now they can't??

The article I read last week about Diggs being named captain, sounded like it meant alot to him, so think he's trying very hard to be a good leader and won't hear a word from him regarding number of catches. Funny too read an article off-season who said the Bills lost something going from Brown to Sanders. Could understand if Brown had a big year last season, but basically he provided nothing as was out most of year.

Does Anyone watch ESPN morning shows anymore?

I woke up to Mike and Mike for about ten years, then Golic and Wingo till they went off the air. I get their thinking, they want to attract younger listeners. From what I remember was the same argument when the Bills radio broadcast went to was it 97 Rock in Buffalo and WCMF in Rochester. But the problem today more than ever with this younger listener argument is younger listeners likely all have unlimited data on their phones and stream everything likely some podcast or some remote station someplace, not ESPN. It's just more the older crowd who is used to listening to the radio who'll tune in, but not likely as much for the current crew. -
Take away 2 passing plays by Washington, the 73 yard gain on the first TD, the 37 pass on the last TD, and the botched kickoff, this had the potential for another shut out. The remainder of the game Washington gained 102 yards passing. Only one sack was a bit concerning, but wonder if the plan was we're only going to rush 4 most of game, put remaining players in coverage and let Heineke beat them through the air and not let him scramble. If that was plan it worked! First pass of game by Allen, my thought was oh boy, here we go again, but that ended after that pass. Another strong game by Knox and O line. I'm no expert, but seemed like Haack was getting punts off faster based on 2 steps not 3 like prior weeks??

Only 3 teams in the league have given up less points than the Bills and they are tied for the league lead with the largest point differential. Chiefs in last place in their division! Wow, who'd have expected that! -

How often though do you see that happen, not very much. They may not have practiced that in over a month due to the limited amount of practice time today. Instead they spend their time working on things that happen at a more frequent rate. Not an excuse, just reality. It wasn't just a short kick either, was more a tweener, between two levels of players and both kind of likely assumed the other would get it and likely also with players not normally handling the ball as much. I do wonder if that kick was actually planned by Washington, or just the result of the kick getting held up in the wind and ending up a high short one? -

Allen just needs to throw him tough catches, it's the easy ones he drops. -

Wondering did Singletary get nicked up? Surprising it's been mostly all Moss last drive or so. -

Levi fined 9.5k for “taunting”

Fox just did a funny skit, was dubbed as a commercial for an attorney last name Flaggety, who says if you've been called for taunting, yada, yada, yada..... call him. He'll take care of it! Was pretty funny. -

I'm not reading too much into Phillips being inactive in that he plays best in Stars role and for the most part, Star only plays on 1st down running plays and maybe short yardage. So do you really need a backup for someone who plays as few snaps as he does. Don't need to spell him and in a pinch either Zimmer or Butler could fill in for that role. Too many still ahead of him that project to be better. I could see by later in the year both Basham and Obada potentially playing in place of either Hughes or Addison or both. Certainly too if someone gets injured, they'd be active the following week. What happened to Marquez Stevenson? Did he get put on IR, don't recall? -

Just read the story on the BN about how halftime is spent , adjustments, etc. The only thing left out, they didn't state who's mom brings the orange slices. -
I see through first two weeks of season Johnson has been inactive. In other Panther news Sam Darnold is making the Jets front office look even dumber for trading him, which is pretty hard to do

I think he wasn't kidding in that they were seriously concerned it might be true when hearing all the rumors, but had no definitive proof of it. If you knew they were there, why not rip them out. But did lead them to a more cautious approach in what/where/when things were discussed. Watching the Manning/Manning broadcast last night leaves me with a tough choice in a few weeks when the Bills are on Monday night, which broadcast do I watch; the real one on ESPN that follows the game and give a true play by play, but are terrible or the Mannings.
