  1. The answer is yes, game is in OP according to one NFL schedule site. I was looking to see what away games would be good places to go next year. Baltimore or Cinnci may be most attractive options unless you prefer visiting downtown Detroit or Chicago. We go to AFC west division winner (getting ahead of myself a bit here LOL) which could be LA. That's a long trip for a game and likely expensive.
  2. Bills aren't going to run a ton to begin with. And when they do, agree issue is more blocking up front than RB. So yeah upgrading RB position seems a waste unless it's free.
  3. Didn't Vrabel play for BB? BB would have signed him a week ago for intel
  4. We've invested, but still young on D line. 5 guys have basically 3 years or less playing time. I'll give them the benefit of doubt they can improve. O line, needs some new players inside Maybe sign top FA guard this off season and draft another center or guard in around the 2nd. That in itself may help run game.
  5. Understand all that, but still would have thought we'd drop more than one spot. Hard to believe Baltimore is #6 too.
  6. Don't let facts get in the way of an argument.
  7. Yes, but not a level the 8th player drafted often gets. Think may see a similar thing with Edmunds
  8. Some comments to your comments: 1 Trenches Agree lost in trenches on both sides. 3 & 4 Pass rush & Henry. Agree they were too worried about Henry that couldn't stop Brown much in 2nd half. Saw some headline about "Henry ran over Bills" etc. 143 yards is alot, but take away the 76 yard run and it's about 70 yards on 19 attempts. Yes was big run but kind of play once you break through 1st line of defense, there's often no one left to stop him so becomes long gain. Most players don't have the speed to out run everyone either, but he does. 8 Red Zone. Think we are running to often on early downs when defense is more geared up for it, and not the best team at running. So now we have 2nd and 8 and defense is geared to stop pass. Would like to see more runs on 1st down, maybe run on 3rd and 2 when more expecting pass. 9 Offensive line Isn't this 3rd week of this combo with Brown at RT?? Agree overall didn't look good. Brown is young and improving so expect him to learn from this and by year end will should be a strength of line. Not so sure Mongo has it in him though to get better. We may be seeing his best. 10 The play I'd have gone for it as they did. You stated; "McD shouldn't have gambled the game on us winning in the trenches because the entire game showed you we'd lose" I'd counter that with; "McD shouldn't have gambled the game on us winning the coin toss because the entire game showed you we'd lose if Tenn won the toss" Admittedly I also think almost as good a shot of us going down the field and scoring a TD and win the game too. But based on what I saw overall, I'd give Tenn a little better chance of scoring a TD on the first possession of OT than us.
  9. I do wonder with practice time getting more and more limited by CBA, when you factor in how many kickers can kick it out of end zone when desired for touch backs, are teams practicing kick off returns less, hence more penalties?? Is it harder to practice returning kicks without more risk of injury as it's just hard without going full speed, then potential more injuries in practice??
  10. I agree with going for it. Think I read in past 10 times Allen needed to gain less than one yard for a 1st, he got the 1st down every time. However the biggest reason I'd have gone for it as if we kick the FG to tie, IMO the winner of the game likely will come down to a coin flip as good chance whichever team won the toss would go down the field and score a TD. Having said that, if the Bills had got the 1st down, they'd very likely had to have then called their last TO so would have 1st and goal with about 19 seconds left. Could have run 2 maybe 3 plays before either kicking or again going for it on 4th down. Every play would have to have been a pass, and Allen can not take a sack. Allen could have rolled out if he saw an absolute wide open path to end zone take off or throw it out of end zone.
  11. Only fell one spot, a bit surprised but I'll take it. Not that you get anything for it!
  12. Either you're really Joe Buscaglia or you read his story in the Athletic and basically posted what he said as this was pretty much his big point in what cost the Bills the game. LOL The title of his article was: Did Josh Allen’s brief lapse in judgment cost Buffalo a win? Do also feel not getting TD's on those first two drives was big too. Without the penalty on Sanders a TD by Knox
  13. Getting the #1 seed and getting to face the weakest playoff team, the #7 seed is nice. But to me the big deal is getting that extra bye week. The Bills made the SB 4 years in a row, 3 of those years they had the opening bye. IMO that was a big reason for it.
  14. My thought is after the Steelers game, McD took Daboll to the woodshed and gave him a good talking to about he lack of running plays, so he's calling many more. It's certainly not an excessive amount by most teams standards, but when you factor in how well the Bills passing game is most of the time, less runs would likely be better. So not sure if it's lackadaisical as much as trying to keep McD happy and have more balance. Admittedly not so sure it's a good idea unless we make a trade for Henry. Does make me wonder if they are going to run as much as they are, should they activate Berida as a 3rd different skill set RB?? I'd be happy with runs on 2nd and 2, not 1st and 10 when the defense is expecting it. We're not good enough to run most of the time when the defense is playing the run.
  15. Doubt you're going to get a decent return in a player so I'd take the extra draft pick. Agree to a better option might be to activate Stevenson. I'm npt all in favor of bringing back Roberts, but posts were questions whom to cut, making a trade solves that. As posted above, not necessarily advocating to pick up Roberts, just commenting how to do it without cutting asnyone. As far as giving up a position of strength, when every week we have 2 to 3 D lineman inactive, not sure you're giving up much of anything by trading one away. Good chance in the off season at least 3 of the following Phillips, Zimmer, Obada, and Addison will be gone anyway, go getting something for a player who's inactive anyway isn't so bad. For those who often question the NFL rule about why only 46 man active roster as opposed to all 53, the Bills D line is an example of why that rule is in place.
  16. Like the other thread says, may be trading one of the D lineman, that would open a slot for him.
  17. Game is getting to fast and [layers too big to easily officiate game. I'd like to see an additional official on each sideline behind the benches on one of these lifts about 30 feet in the air like the camera man. Would give him a better angle than many and maybe give in an instant replay screen to over rule calls on field
  18. Even that, you need to put a * next to it as never sure how much BB was really pulling the strings.
  19. I do think some of this thinking is due to Darnold's bar being set so low first three years. If he completes a pass it seems amazing after watching three years of the circus with the Jets.
  20. This article today certainly supports you're comments! https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/he-s-got-a-little-swagger-about-him-bills-kicker-tyler-bass-grows-more-confident/article_efaccf84-2ec5-11ec-ace8-73365fdf177e.html
  21. Agree the way he looked , someone needs to check if Meyer's had money on the Fish. There's been much written how he's alienated players, benching Fitz last season among other things recall reading. He may be good with the technical part of job, but seems like from what I've read, may not be the best leader. Admittedly, you never know how much was on him or the front office, but he seemed to take the blame for it.
  22. Yeah I was referring to cutting him in 2022 also. Admittedly the way he's been playing could see instead they keep him another year, maybe draft in 2nd or 3rd round his replacement and let him sit and learn for a year or at least not be starting. Agree with the positional spend concept, will see. Of all the starting positions (admittedly calling a punter a starter is a stretch) punter may be the weakest. Only other area possibly as shaky is interior line, but seems to be holding up.
  23. No was serious, got another response about water run off causing potholes which makes sense. But as I replied to him, didn't recall see potholes in front of the ones near me when I lived up north. Admittedly one was on a pretty steep incline out front so pretty tough to see any water puddling. Do recall going to Delta Sonic for many years, now down south for 14 years so no issue with that, maybe become much worse up there now?
  24. OK makes sense, though can't see I recall seeing water runnoff all over the street in front of them when I lived up north. Does amaze me living down south in a location where you could wash your car outside about 11 months of the year, how many car washes there are. Actually seem to be more here than up north.
  25. So two years left after this year. They moved on from their kicker Hauschka with one year remaining, so only difference is one more year left. Agree they are happy with holding, but not to say they can't find a college punter who also held for 2 to 3 years and was very good at it. And I do think holding was a big reason Bojo was let go. Two years left on a punters contract isn't exactly going to break the bank like it would on a position player. Many were thinking Star L will get let go after this season, admittedly based on recent play, may not happen. But my point is that was much more money think it's around $5.1 mil. Believe Haacks hit is $700k. If fans were assuming the Bills were ready to take a $5 mil cap hit, can't believe they'd worry much about $700k. If he starts punting a little better, he may be fine, but wouldn't shock me to see them draft a punter and see how he looks in camp, just like they did with Bass.
