Didn't want to start a new thread for this 1/2 hour before game time but just saw this: Tua is out today with a broken finger suffered in Q2 against Bills. Took him out twice this season!

Wasn't necessarily talking about this season only, more career wise. Houston playoff game comes to mind, took them out of field goal range at the end. Admittedly that was two seasons ago and he's doing better of late.

Keeping him around in case one of the "top two" gets hurt. I placed in in quotes as many could argue hard to say they are the top ones. Admittedly not often a team makes through all season without a RB getting hurt so they want someone who knows the offense. I agree with you in that was hoping they'd keep all three active each week, but the question then becomes who do you want to sit instead. The likely choice would be a D lineman, but already have 3 on the inactive list. Adding in the Bills are more a passing offense, hard to really argue with only keeping two active.

Wow didn't know they kept a separate stat for bone headed sacks. So how many does Josh have career wise, where's does that rank on the bone headed list? Don't think anyone has said he gets sacked too much overall, but when he does many are ones that end up with 15 yard loses and ones that he easily could have thrown it away, but didn't. So overall sack stats don't tell the story here, unless as I asked they do keep a separate total for bone headed ones.

I do tend to agree with Nineforty here, when he is sacked it's usually a bad one that often takes the team out of field goal range. He just sometimes tries to do too much. Do also agree with RiotAct that he's got much better at avoiding this but sometimes it creeps back in. Will also agree have seen Mahomes do the same recently too.

Think we'll know by the start of FA, if Wallace is not signed to an extension, then IMO draft a CB in the 1st. If they sign him, then maybe O-line, but 1st round is a little high for interior lineman, admittedly it will be late 1st round, if lucky in the 30's!

We'll find out in a few days if I understand correctly. If unvaxed, he's out five days for close contact, 10 days if tests positive If vaxed he's only monitored for close contact. With a positive test, he's out until 2 tests a day apart come back negative provided he remains symptom free. So if back by mid week unless they develop symptoms, likely means he's vaxxed. My thinking too is since two QB's are out, likely Josh would have been in close contact with them too and would be ruled out for five days if unvaxed.

I know there was an entire thread about it the other day on Mitch, but do wonder if anyone made any prop bets on Mitch in the 4th Quarter. I'm no Vegas expert, but would those bets now be canceled out or do the people just lose?

The article also sated that after reviewing he was surprised himself they line graded out as well as it did considering all the negative comments, so he looked at two other sites , forget which ones it stated, that had similar grades as he had so felt they were valid.

I think it's more a case of Allens agent telling him if you want a contract extension you better get vaxxed now. Sure the Pegulas may be foolish to not negotiate, but they'd also be foolish to offer him top dollar to when you you have a player that you can't rely on being there every week because of his own choosing. IMO they'd have offered a lower number and likely JA wouldn't have signed. I wouldn't call that short sighted, I'd call that being smart about it and not signing someone to top $$ who's unreliable. As has also been pointed out many times JA likely isn't willing to tell his status as playing the ultimate team player and doing his est to stay away from an us Vs them within the team so by saying nothing, nobody knows which of those two teams he's playing on. I also think by next off season teams will have enough time to plan and more money available under the cap that only true superstar players will be signed if they aren't vaxxed. Certainly Allen would be in that group, but also think it would cost him some money. This year by the time people had enough time to even get vaxxed free agency was ready to start and had a lower than normal cap to deal with. So teams just dealt with it as best they could. Seem to recall back in September 92% of players were vaxxed likely somewhat higher by now, so league wide wouldn't lose much by not signing the un-vaxed.

Do recall hearing that and also the comment about being here. That goes to my point about Bojorquez not wanting to sign a long term deal or maybe was meant as some comment about not listening to coaches enough, who knows. And again could have been they wanted to re-sign him, but for less money likely due to the Bills not valuing him as much as he valued himself Seems every team claims to want to re-sign every player right until they sign with someone else, just as they have no interest in any other players until they sign them. So I tend to take those comments with a grain of salt.

If the holds weren't laces out, then Bojorquez certainly shares some of the blame. If it was missed field goal from say the 35, that gives the other team the ball around the 43, whereas if made and kickoff, many go for TB which gives the team the ball on the 25. If miss was beyond 40 or so, team gets the ball on the other side of the 50. Excluding the blocked kick and maybe the one shanked last week I haven't seen any other punts from Haack that likely netted 20 + yards less than what Bojorquez could have done. Seemed like he had a mindset of wanting to boom his kicks, including quite a few into the end zone for TB. That also may have been what did him in, coaches told him to take something off to pin them deep, but he'd boom it away.

I didn't say a good way. That was my point. A couple posters were concerned with Haack not flipping the field. We were having the same net result last year, short field for team taking possession on missed field goals.

IMO a big reason Bojo isn't here this year is because of the bad holds, that and from what was written, he wanted more money than felt he was worth and didn't want to sign a longer term deal. While a punters contract pales in comparison to say Josh Allen or even say Hughes or Morse, in a year with a very tight cap, could see where the Bills wanted a longer term contract and from what was written Bojo, wasn't on the same page. He also remained unsigned for quite awhile, then was traded at the end of camp, so apparently most NFL personal departments don't value him nearly as high as many of the posters here do. None of us were at practice either, maybe the coaching staff felt Bojo just didn't seem to be all that interested in improving his holding skills? As to why T Jones or backup QB don't hold, 30 years ago was easy to do when teams practiced till the coach said they were done. Now with such limited time available, don't want to keep the backup QB away from offensive snaps. Back then many teams carried 3 QB's on active roster even. Same thing with Jones, likely be limited time left to practice as gunner is doing holding. IMO with this offense, even not quite as high scoring as last year, made field goals are more important than maybe an even and extra 10 yard average on punts. I'd even say in a poor offense missed field goals hurt more than bad punts and are more deflating for team. As for flipping the field, last year Bass flipped the field alot too, on missed field goals. Unless you're punting from your own end zone, missed field goals flip the field more than punting 10 yards less do. Having said all that I do think there's a good chance the Bills use a 5th or 6th rounder on a punter next year. Haack cap hit is around $700k to cut him, next year with more cap space is doable. Give the rookie all training camp to show he can hold just as well and punt better and he becomes the 2022 version of Bass. Of course by late Sept there will be 4 or 5 threads here about needing to cut the rookie as he's terrible. All someone needs to do is go back to last year and find one of the "Cut Bass" threads and change the name to the new rookie, will be easy to do!

Yeah, he has an excuse or explanation for everything. Interesting during the interview today he was asked specifically how his program boosts his immunity. He gave this long answer that said nothing to the actual question asked following up with something to the effect of: "I'm not going to disclose my personal information" That's a perfectly valid response in most situation like Josh Allens response. But for Rodgers he's no longer in a position where he can afford to use that excuse when his entire purpose of doing this interview was basically for damage control. Seemed he tried to still come across as he understands this much better than everyone else so his actions were responsible. Don't think that's going to fly much at this point. I'm guessing tomorrows headlines are for the most part going to still crucify him and probably as we speak Jimmy Fallon and all the later night show writers are busy with putting together some good Aaron Rodgers lines for use.

Recall a few years back, there was the lineman on the Bills, think his name was Henderson who was out for a non football related reason, think he almost died from it. Many here were posting how we have a "right to know" When non football injury, then no we don't. We may be told if the player wants to let us know, but we don't have a right.

Rodgers stands 10 feet away, with a paper cup and a string to the rest of the huddle! I do find his press conference today to be a bit interesting in that he claims to not have got the vaccine because he's allergic to some ingredients. If that's the case, then why go off on "woke mobs and cancel culture" in the next statement as the allergic claim would be a valid reason for not getting it, make your whole statement about that alone. If he's trying to make it into being about both, really makes me question the allergic claim.

I think the opposite, Hughes will be back but not Addison. My reasoning is, they may still want one more veteran player on the roster as still overall much youth on the D Line. Of the two think Hughes is playing better and means more overall to the team. Also possible they may they release both and bring in a younger but still vet player, but would give better chance to bringing back Hughes.
