  1. Agree, don't think there's a dislike. After the first game think McD's comments were just stating that they beat themselves. For everything bad about BB, he does respect the game and the history of it as far as good play goes. He likely realizes it's going to be real hard for him to beat the Bills going forward for next number of years and he probably knows he's not going to be coaching many more so think it was more just frustration. Not sure I'd call him a sore loser, but BB has certainly never been a gracious in defeat. Who knows, maybe this is even it for him and he knows that was his last game?
  2. With that beard he wasn't likely cold at all.
  3. I'm not sure Belichick will go to the Pats presser tonight. And if he does, it will be quickest interview on record. "Yes yes, maybe thanks"!
  4. Mahomes doesn't like it much when people start debating if Allen is as good as he is. After tonight many will be questioning that again. Hoping it make Mahomes press some and throw a few Ints.
  5. Was that the kneel down at the end?
  6. Never faced a 3rd down? That's got to be a record too
  7. Aren't many of the Pats star defenders free agents too after this year? They were just signed for one year??
  8. Guessing Obada still isn't quite ready? He practiced all week, but maybe not 100%??
  9. Agree 100% with you here. The OP's ideas are great if there wasn't a salary cap. Considering they have limited money available, RT is likely one of the lower needs. Likely you put together a better interior line and Brown in addition with another year experience should be fine. I'd let Mongo go, likely bring back Williams as to me his cap hit plus the replacement cost isn't worth letting him go, similar with Morse, but would need to re-do the contract to lower his salary. Then sign a top FA guard, and draft a center/guard in the 2nd or 3rd to be the starter in 2023 To me another TE like a Gesecki is another luxury that's not needed. The Bills strength is Allen, his arm, and the WR group. Do think Beasley and Sanders are gone, maybe McKenzie takes his place or they sign a top slot receiver. At that point would rather see Diggs, Davis and new slot guy on the field as much as possible with maybe McKenzie and Kumarow as backups. So don't want to take one of them off the field to go with 2 TE's very often. Maybe draft or sign a mid level guy with good hands so occasionally if they go with 2 TE's, they have two guys out there who'll keep the defense honest, but keep your 3 WR's on the field as much as possible. Overall would much rather see them use the money to sign a top slot guy than a TE
  10. I recall when they built the Astrodome in early 60's it had a grass field with a clear glass roof panels so the grass could grow. The problem was with the clear glass the players were all blinded by the sun so had to go to dark tinted glass and artificial turf, i.e. "astroturf" So to answer your question, Yes, but the results may look like that Kyler Murry virtual reality commercial whenever Allen throws a pass!
  11. When I saw the title of this thread about "PR Dept" I figured this thread had to be quoting the article about the Bills suing Chuckie Cheese. Am kind of surprised no mention of the biggest news of the day. Poor Chuckie
  12. What about the person sitting behind the chicken wing? Has to be shorter than 6 inches!
  13. Agree 200% The only way I think they'd ever consider it at this point in the season would be to have someone else punt and Haack still holds, but that means taking one player away at some other position to active an extra punter. Do recall maybe was 20 years ago seemed like for a year or two (maybe was shorter) the Bills having a second kicker active for kickoffs and even a rare extremely long FG as their kicker was very accurate from close in so wanted him for the FG attempts, but terribly short on kickoffs so had a second player for that. But think that may have been back when you could still dress all 53 on Sundays too.
  14. Today's article by Alen Pergament gives a good explanation of how and why the playoff game schedule was made up the way it was and why the Bills playing the Monday night game wasn't going to happen once they became the #3 seed. Also hints that if the AFC all goes chalk, likely the game the following week against KC would be on Sunday. My guess is next year they will flip it and the AFC 4-5 game will be on Monday and the other two AFC games on Sunday. https://buffalonews.com/sports/bills/alan-pergament-why-bills-patriots-playoff-game-is-scheduled-for-saturday-night/article_762ecd66-73e3-11ec-be00-6b113db710b0.html
  15. In addition, you have to have played a minimum of 15 snaps
  16. Think Groot may have somewhat hit the rookie wall squared. Not only is the NFL a longer season, but he also didn't even play last season. So could argue he's well rested, but not playing for two years, could be worn out and not playing last season amplifies it. Is encouraging to see him playing better against the run than pass as more often it's the opposite for rookies, they are better at the pass rush than run stopping. Was true even of Bruce Smith. Chicks love the long ball..... and sacks
  17. You think??? I don't know, he hasn't done much of anything here to prove he's worthwhile as hardly had chance to play. Think his best offer may be to a team with a questionable QB in place like another thread talked about going to Indy assuming they also have Wentz. Wentz is still the starter going into camp, but if he falters, have another somewhat legit option to go to
  18. I wonder if the Bills would allow this? If the Giants were to hire either one as GM creates an opening in Buffalo and a reshuffling of the deck. Maybe then the one eho's still here gets a promotion instead so it became a lateral move. Possible the Bills give permission to interview the two with the understanding it's an either/or situation until the Bills have time to reevaluate??
  19. Was looking at the draft order, excluding the Jags and Jets, the others all have various levels of need for a QB, but not exactly a stellar class. If I'm the Lions I may try and trade that pick to a team that hopefully won't be too good next year so they'd have 2 first rounders in 2023 which is supposed to be a better stronger class. Also gives Goff one more year to prove he could be the answer
  20. Maybe Rex Ryan's or Russ Brandon, Doug Whaleys', or Tryod Taylors old place. There's likely a long list of expensive vacant real estate available in the Orchard Park area.
  21. Makes sense in certain ways if the Colts decide to give Wentz one more year. You then aren't going to bring in a guy like Wilson, or Rodgers, but you want someone who some ability as the backup in case Wentz falters. You don't want his backup to be a Matt Barkley type. Based on what happened in Philly you also may not want to draft someone in the 1st round either as that is rumored to be some of the issues with Wentz in Philly. Plus Indy is drafting late enough and not a real strong QB class anyway. If they decide to move on from Wentz, then think they may look for someone better than Trubisky. I'm not so sure about the Trubisky and Daboll together rumors either. Think is Daboll gets a HC job, wouldn't want to tie my fate to Trubisky.
  22. Yeah they do, just ask the officials. Almost every play!
  23. Recall watching a play, thought it was in Q3 but could be wrong where there was an incompletion thrown his way. At the time watching it on TV, felt his body language looked rather frustrating , like can't Allen throw me a pass I can catch. First time I saw a WR look frustrated by the throw in the past two seasons in Buffalo.
  24. The way I heard it reported they hired him as a consultant in the coach GM search, not necessarily beyond that. Hopefully for the Bears he won't recommend his son.
  25. Don Maynard, Fred Biletnikoff, and Lance Alworth made up three pretty amazing WR in the old AFL. Actually they didn't call them WR back then, they were either split ends or flankers. Those names did tend to sound a bit sexier than WR. Not sure what prompted the change??
