Is McDermott in Belicheck’s head?
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Did Patricia come back? He's not listed on their website at all. Interesting they don't list a DC at all. During the broadcast they called the son the DC. Stevie boy is listed as the defensive play caller. OK on another site does mention that Patricia is back but not as regular coach, doesn't state what he is doing?? -
Tua and Hurts will never get to the promised land
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unless they get extremely lucky both these teams are too good to get a real early draft pick to get one. Even if they tank to get one, could just as easily end up with the next Sam Darnold rather than Josh Allen -

In title he is. Poor Josh McDanials is thinking eventually if I become head coach I'm going to inherit this guy, will have to keep him one season before I can fire him, unless BB becomes GM, then still may not be able to get rid of the albatross. -

Walking off the field I think Belichick was finally realizing his DC sucks, but how can he fire his son? *and I'm being serious, not joking* -
Dawkins getting Covid a second time seemed to have cured him! Playing great ever since.

Steve Smith on NFL Network was blaming the WR for not coming back to it, but think he too was so surprised as never saw Hyde coming so felt not a need to come back towards it.

Would a good place to hide it, they'd never look there. I missed the whole thing, did it happen after the TD in the 2nd half, was that was the long delay was for? I was thinking the TD was a pretty easy call, why so long to decide. Maybe taking time for a measurement. Is there a video of it here?

Bills got every single break last night

Agree, he's a bum, maybe we could get a 6th or 7th in a trade?? Him and Bass, missing 2 XP's -
I wonder if Kubeck in his Tuesday column will ding Allen for the lousy pass?

But there were only 4 and Beasley wasn't listed in box score as having one, may not have been considered a target, but then numbers don't add up. I'm going completely off the box score and the numbers adding up. -

So I was looking at the box score and they list Diggs, Davis, Sanders, and Singletary as having one more target than completion. Beasley is listed as 1 for 1 which could mean that since was tipped wasn't considered a target. But he was 21 for 25 and those four listed as misses?? -
See ya, New England - and take those demons with ya!

Saw a comment think it was from Twitter: Pats Nation, welcome to the 2000’s Cowboys phase of your franchise NE didn't lose because of Jones, don't think he played bad, the two Ints first was incredible defensive play and second was a tipped pass. Charles Davis comments about their strategy being sound was still early in the game and seemed to be mostly directed at the Pats offense, not overall. Having said that, think NE and Jones would have to do alot better in the future to beat Allen. Believe a number of their better players are FA after this season now too? -

Trying to recall the 4 incompletions he threw, believe all were in the first half; One to Diggs was very low early in the game One to Davis, think he more dropped, could have should have caught? Don't recall the Sanders miss Don't recall the Singletary miss? -
Agree, don't think there's a dislike. After the first game think McD's comments were just stating that they beat themselves. For everything bad about BB, he does respect the game and the history of it as far as good play goes. He likely realizes it's going to be real hard for him to beat the Bills going forward for next number of years and he probably knows he's not going to be coaching many more so think it was more just frustration. Not sure I'd call him a sore loser, but BB has certainly never been a gracious in defeat. Who knows, maybe this is even it for him and he knows that was his last game?

With that beard he wasn't likely cold at all.

I'm not sure Belichick will go to the Pats presser tonight. And if he does, it will be quickest interview on record. "Yes yes, maybe thanks"!

Mahomes doesn't like it much when people start debating if Allen is as good as he is. After tonight many will be questioning that again. Hoping it make Mahomes press some and throw a few Ints. -

Never faced a 3rd down? That's got to be a record too -
Aren't many of the Pats star defenders free agents too after this year? They were just signed for one year??

Agree 100% with you here. The OP's ideas are great if there wasn't a salary cap. Considering they have limited money available, RT is likely one of the lower needs. Likely you put together a better interior line and Brown in addition with another year experience should be fine. I'd let Mongo go, likely bring back Williams as to me his cap hit plus the replacement cost isn't worth letting him go, similar with Morse, but would need to re-do the contract to lower his salary. Then sign a top FA guard, and draft a center/guard in the 2nd or 3rd to be the starter in 2023 To me another TE like a Gesecki is another luxury that's not needed. The Bills strength is Allen, his arm, and the WR group. Do think Beasley and Sanders are gone, maybe McKenzie takes his place or they sign a top slot receiver. At that point would rather see Diggs, Davis and new slot guy on the field as much as possible with maybe McKenzie and Kumarow as backups. So don't want to take one of them off the field to go with 2 TE's very often. Maybe draft or sign a mid level guy with good hands so occasionally if they go with 2 TE's, they have two guys out there who'll keep the defense honest, but keep your 3 WR's on the field as much as possible. Overall would much rather see them use the money to sign a top slot guy than a TE
