Still don’t understand Brown over C Creed Humphrey. That guy also tested off the charts and plays a position that could strengthen the interior if the team moves on from Morse next year. At best we’re hoping Brown pans out as a swing tackle with potential to move into a starting position a few years from now. Humphrey has supposedly taken all the starting snaps at center and shows no signs of relinquishing the job in KC.

Bills Mandatory Minicamp June 15-16
Brand J replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Star was never a massive human being anyway, so I’m not surprised he showed up to camp lighter. I’ve long complained about how small he was to play a position Ted Washington excelled in - and as much as we hope he’ll come in to save the run defense, I cannot forget his mediocre play, frequent stalemate single blocks, and how he was losing snaps to Horrible Harry before his ACL injury. I remain skeptical about the guy. -
The youth excuses should stop after this season. Tired of hearing “he’s only _____ years old.” Edmunds himself recognizes he needs to become a more impactful player, at whatever position the Bills ask him to run. Hopefully it all comes together for him this year, we need the boost in production.

Sean McDermott OTAs press conference 5/25
Brand J replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’d be a bit ironic if opt outs were also anti-vaxxers. Wonder if Star has gotten his shots. It’ll be most interesting to see how he reports to the first mandatory camp. He wasn’t a fat dude, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he shows up south of 300#. Also wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t work out diligently during his break. -
Will we get Friday 5/14 Rookie Mini-camp Reports?
Brand J replied to Mark Long Beach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s supposedly open to first year players as well. I remember past rookie camps had some of our first year players on the field with the current crop of newbies. -
Will we get Friday 5/14 Rookie Mini-camp Reports?
Brand J replied to Mark Long Beach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s interesting none of last year’s picks decided to participate. I thought Epenesa would’ve been out there more than any of the others. -
DK was the first and only receiver I’ve seen (so far) who bullied Tre White. Looked like a kid competing against an adult.

Bills 2021 Draft - Overall Assessment
Brand J replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
C+, majority developmental guys, rotational players, and depth. Picking at the end of each round doesn’t help, but of course the grade can change if we eventually get multiple starters.- 403 replies

2021 NFL Draft Day 3 Talk Official Thread
Brand J replied to The Jokeman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
“So, Brandon, some would say the tackles were the strength of the offensive line last season, yet you drafted two this year when interior help was available. Are you happy with the interior of your line?” -

2018 Draft QB trade up feature - ESPN Schefter
Brand J replied to nato7412's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don’t know why Beane was so frightened by AZ. It’s not like they had the capital to match his 2nd and 3rd round proposal. He could’ve held onto that second 2nd rounder, but it doesn’t really matter all that much now. He got his guy and we have a QB on the path to becoming a superstar. -
It’s a popular opinion, but every time I zeroed in on Star, he was fighting a single team stalemate. That’s pretty much what happens to him every down - he won’t push the pocket, but he doesn’t lose ground either. He’s just kinda there. There was a stretch of about 3 games or so where he started to actually show on the field, but aside from that he’s mostly invisible, unless he’s getting completely turned around as Adrian Peterson runs through his gap. Aside from offensive design, double teams are reserved for players who demand that sort of respect (ie Aaron Donald). Star isn’t one of those players unfortunately.

Will Christian Wade make the Bills' final 53 in 2021?
Brand J replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ray Ray wasn’t with the squad. I heard it was Isiah McKenzie. EDIT: yep, it was McKenzie - https://billswire.usatoday.com/2021/01/17/isaiah-mckenzie-happy-act-lamar-jackson-buffalo-bills-jerry-hughes/ -
Rumor was Pegula LOVED Mahomes while Whaley and co thought Trubisky was the best QB coming out. The best we can hope is that Fromm vs Trubisky is a real competition for backup QB, assuming Fromm grew throughout the season.

Tyrod to Houston for $12.5 million

Wow. QB money is KING! To put this in perspective, he’ll make more this year than Milano. -
What’s your earliest memory of the Buffalo Bills?
Brand J replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was in the 5th grade going to recess. Overheard some friends talking about a team that almost won a championship game but missed a kick. I never watched football, couldn’t name a single team, but I asked “who?” anyway and they said “the Buffalo Bills.” The rest is history. -
Allen and Edmunds 5th Year Option Costs
Brand J replied to JGMcD2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn’t pick up the option on Edmunds. He’s a $14M/yr type of talent, but it doesn’t show consistently enough. -
Eagles submit rules change to onside kick
Brand J replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Before the rule changes, the onside kick was an exciting play and historically was recovered by the kicking team 13% of the time. There was actually a season where 21% of those kicks were recovered! With the rule changes that number has plummeted to just over 5%, one recovery per every 20 attempts. 4th and 15s are converted at an average of 16%, so changing the rule would bring excitement back into the game, but also somewhat punish the team with the lead since it’s far more likely they’d pick up a 4th and 15 than recover an onside kick. -
I’m seeing a lot of anger with his decision. JJ made the best decision for himself, I don’t feel dissed by his choice. JJ may have played somewhere around 65% of the snaps in Buffalo. Don’t know how much of an impact he would’ve had as a 32 year old in decline, but for the money he signed for I don’t care we don’t get to find out.

It’s pronounced Da-neal, rather than Danyelle, like in the female sense. Think I read somewhere he got the name from his African mother.

Would the Bills have beaten the Bucs?
Brand J replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not on this particular night, especially with the way the Bills had been playing in the playoffs. If the “end of the regular season” Bills showed up, it would’ve been a fun game and I’d actually give the nod to Buffalo. But it would’ve taken that sort of balanced performance to win on this night and the Bills hadn’t looked that great in weeks. -
It was silly for anyone to question or believe that Belichick deserved more credit than Brady for New England’s 6 Super Bowl wins. Folks forget that Belichick had a losing record as a HC before Mo Lewis changed the course of history... Bill Belichick's coaching career: With Tom Brady as his starting QB: 224-66 With anybody else as his starting QB: 51-66
