Terence Blanchard made me take notice after he scored Spike Lee's "When the Levees Broke". Great score. I've always been a fan of Stanley Clarke myself.

Has to be one of the most creative (and funny) ways to get onto the field and strip off clothing...

Assuming Palmer comes into that franchise and has success. In any rate, money is made win an organization is able to sustain success. Mortgaging premium picks for an aging QB who has been on a downward spiral, eliminates an organization's opportunities to select young talent. Young talent that has the potential to contribute to sustainable success. No other team in the NFL makes this trade, at least not at that price. The Raiders need a GM desperately.

People, the object isn't merely to make the playoffs, it's to win the freakin' Superbowl! If the Raidahs believe they have a legitimate shot to win the Superbowl this year (which I don't), then maybe you trade 2 first round picks for a soon to be 32 year old QB who hasn't taken a single rep in 2011. If you have more holes on your team than QB, or you don't think your team could legitimately win the Superbowl THIS year, then NO WAY do you make this trade! It's a terrible trade for the Raidahs, no ifs ands or buts about it.
-
Oakland also should've asked themselves this question: Is this team good enough to win the Superbowl right now? That answer is of course "no". You don't trade away premium picks for old guys ESPECIALLY when you're not in a position to win the Superbowl that season.

I've seen a few full games from Luck and while I wasn't blown away by his arm strength, he has EVERYTHING else that you want in a QB - anticipation, accuracy, vision, leadership, size, athleticism, and great touch. He throws a very catchable ball. I think we'd be 4-2 with a rookie Luck right now, as I don't see him leading the comebacks against the Pats and Raidahs, but I think he makes the throws to beat the Bengals and Giants. Luck will be an outstanding get for IND or MIA. A franchise changer.

QUICK! Give them Fitz for two 1st rounders!! Fitz has outplayed Palmer for the last couple of years. Palmer is a 32 year old QB who has been on a downward spiral since 2007. This makes NO SENSE for the Raidahs. They need a stop gap, not to mortgage the future. As another poster asked, what happens when Jason Campbell comes back? I guarantee you they won't get a 1st from any other team in the league for either one of those two.

Revis is a really good corner but refs make him great!
Brand J replied to EldaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did anyone else see when Brandon Marshall was running a go route down the sideline? Revis turned and ran with him somewhat, but kept sticking him in the chest so Marshall couldn't run by him. Literal jabs to Marshall's chest! Because he didn't have to run full speed with the WR, this allowed Revis to stop and break with Marshall if the route was ever cut. If that isn't impeding the progress of a WR then I don't know what is. -
The item in bold has yet to be proven, or disproven. As for the first part of your statement, these things already happen when the veterans are in the lineup. A team doesn't give up over 450 yards for 4 straight weeks without mistakes and missed assignments on the field. That said, the only name I want to see back in the mix ASAP is Kyle Williams. He has no equal on the DL.
-
I think most of us have been wondering where Kyle has been and why he hasn't been able to take advantage of rookie/backup centers and offensive guards. The reason is in: he's been playing hurt all year. I say rest him against the NYG and let him come back after the bye week. DT WIlliams wants to play Sunday

Von Miller benched during Broncos loss
Brand J replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Give up next year's number 1 pick for Miller!! Not that Elway would do it, but we need someone with his ability on the edge. The guy is "defensive back" fast! -
Have you seen Luck play? The comparisons between him and Locker start and stop with the beginning letter of their last names. I want Luck to bomb just because I don't want him to succeed in Indy, or Miami, but the guy is just too good. Put it this way - he dominates college football in a way Cam Newton dominated, only Luck does it primarily with his arm. If he had entered the draft this year, Cam Newton would be a Buffalo Bill.
-
In all seriousness, if you're a franchise like Miami and going nowhere, it would be in your best interest to tank the rest of this season and select the greatest QB prospect to come out of college since Peyton Manning. Actually, Andrew Luck is an even better collegiate QB than Manning was! You give up one season (in which you're going nowhere anyway), for a chance to be a perennial power for the next 10-15 years, while selling gobs of tickets and jerseys. I don't want the Colts to go from one franchise QB to the next, but I'd much rather they win the Luck sweepstakes than Miami. I don't want Brady AND Luck in this division!

If There Is One Addition Needed To Bring This Team
Brand J replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know you're being sarcastic here, but do you still believe we don't need a pass rusher? In your words, "a pass rusher on this defense is a luxury". An edge rusher with speed who can get after the QB, is NEVER a luxury on ANY defense! I agree with the others... a pass rusher would cure many defensive ails at the moment. Hopefully Merriman starts to turn his game around this Sunday and Moats gets a few pressures off the edge. -
That's where he should be. When the Bills moved him inside, they didn't foresee the influx of talent coming in to play ILB (Sheppard, Barnett, Morrison, White). He now gets to play his natural position and the staff wants to see if he can aid in the pass rush dept. Batten, Kelsay, Merriman, and Carrington have hardly gotten ANY QB pressures, so it's time to see if Moats can add in that dept. Hey, he beat all pro LT Jake Long for a sack and strip fumble on Henne last year, so that's good enough for me! Good luck Moats!

Antonio Coleman - Signed to Giants Practice Squad
Brand J replied to Matt in KC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He showed a lot of promise and it was a bit puzzling why he didn't even get a PS nod. For comparisons sake, he produced more in his limited amount of time, than Mario Haggan ever did and Haggan is a starter for the Broncos. Would not surprise me at all if he becomes a solid contributor for the G Men. Good luck Antonio! -
Haven't watched much of the Falcons, but they undoubtedly run a different offense than us. Fitz gets the ball out quick, so Clabo wouldn't be a liability if he were wearing the red, white, and blue. It's hard to say he would've been an improvement in the run blocking, as the running game is tearing it up. No one foresaw Erik Pears playing this well. In the end, sometimes the best moves are the ones that are never made...

espn ranks top 10 rookies this year so far
Brand J replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wanted Marcell Dareus AND Von Miller. In that order. I'm greedy. -
For the life of me, I don't know why NYC NEVER shows the Bills, unless they're playing against 1 of the 2 Jersey teams. Dear NYC, BUFFALO IS THE ONLY TEAM IN YOUR STATE!
-
There's only 1 player I'd trade Spiller for at this moment - Von Miller. It's not gonna happen, so we can move on from this idea.
-
JoeB said Dan suffered a serious hamstring injury in practice and that the Pats cut him to sign a TE that will be able to play. No more posts about bringing him in. He's damaged goods.

Fitz on front page of espn?
Brand J replied to Mini Max Anderson Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe he changed his mind...? ESPN "Expert" Picks But man oh man... what a difference a week makes. Win one game and now the Buffalo Bills are everywhere. -
This list is shameful and harms the "experts" credibility.

Someone else needs to employ Emmitt Smith. I miss his insightful commentary. But most of all, the parodies against his work as an analyst.
