  1. Please tell me you were being sarcastic...
  2. No more typing on your IPhone. I revoke your privileges.
  3. Ding, ding, ding! NFL Scouts knew about him when he was 440 pounds. They asked him to lose 100 pounds. They showed up again to see his progress and he was at the same weight. He was immediately written off by those scouts. Matt Hand met with Jasper and told him to get under 400. Jasper did and Matt Hand credits Nix for helping him keep Jasper a secret.
  4. Four Downs
  5. Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see, "CJ Spiller" on that list. Not even in Group I... I also think that Danny Woodhead is more valuable than BenJarvus Green-Ellis and that Lynch and Jackson are both better backs than Green-Ellis and a couple of others above them.
  6. Troup still leaves A LOT to be desired on the football field, but I do like his work ethic. Hopefully he can turn around and be a rock in the middle for this franchise. If not, I'll regret that we passed on the much more productive DT Lamarr Houston. Although Lamarr is more of a penetrating DT.
  7. This madness needs to stop. I'll echo what someone else had wrote about the whole situation: "it's not crazy that there are people in the world like Camping, false prophets who predict the end of the world, rather it is crazy that there are massive amounts of people willing to follow him." I wonder why he still refuses to give up his worldly possessions, as well as the millions of dollars that he's worth. Had he truly believed in his prediction, he'd be living in the streets, without a dollar to his name. Hmmm...
  8. Maybin lost even more weight? What's he down to now? 175 pounds soaking wet? The results of their drafts are not resolute, but I wish the Nix regime had been running the draft for the past decade. Players like Maybin, Whitner, McKelvin, McGahee, McCargo, and Losman, never would've been drafted by this team.
  9. A "whip" is a vehicle.
  10. That opening music was so campy and cheesy. More like the start of a soap opera than a football game. The game itself? Just another day at work for those Bills.
  11. Looks to me that Aaron Schobel caused the rushed overthrow because he got pressure on Boller. You're giving full credit to Whitner on that 4th and 1, when it was Schobel who prevented Boller from going through his reads. In any rate, nice find from 2007. I'm sure Donte hasn't played football in the 3 years since. How else can one go 47 games (Tampa Bay) without making a game changing play?
  12. Thinking back to every game he's ever played, I struggle to remember when Donte made a game changing play. I remember him returning an INT for a TD against Tampa Bay, but the Bills already had a comfortable lead. I can't remember ONE Polamalu, or Ed Reed type of play, in which Whitner has made. He wants to be paid like a game changing top 5 safety, yet he's never made a single one of those plays. 5 interceptions, 5 forced fumbles, and 1.5 sacks in 5 seasons. That's 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, and .3 sacks PER SEASON! Those numbers tell you all you need to know about his production, or lack thereof.
  13. Good yahoo article on every 1st round pick as a high school recruit. Click on the players' weights for their scouting report: Click Me A few thoughts: 1) Cameron Heyward already looked like a grown man. 2) Prince Amukamara needs to be introduced to Carmex. 3) JJ Watt is by far the lowest rated HS recruit. 4) Julio Jones HS athletic numbers were absolutely beastly.
  14. The scary thing is that he's not done losing weight! I think we can honestly call him one of the most athletic 350+ to ever play the game. The Questions are, does he have natural instincts and can he get off of blocks? He sounds like he's dedicated to being the best he can be, but time will tell. If he is in fact a load for NFL centers to contain, then his potential will be through the roof. Can't wait to hear about Eric Wood going against him in one on one drills...
  15. Very accurate assessment with numbers to back up the argument. He has never been a good safety, he's merely average. Where he was drafted doesn't matter, but he plays like a 3rd round pick, not like the 8th overall pick of an NFL draft. Thanks Marv. Thanks Jauron.
  16. In that interview, I like that Nix admitted which other players he'd love to have. GMs don't often do that. For those who missed it he gave props to OLB Ryan Kerrigan, DE Cameron Jordan, and TE Lance Kendricks. "We would've loved to have those guys regardless of what the pick is, because they'd make your team better. You know, you can't get them all, you only get one round and that's the way they fell." Trade offers: "our phone probably rang 15 times every round."
  17. So you're telling me that if you were a 2nd year (starting) QB in the league and the team just drafted your replacement, you'd hand over your jersey number to the new kid? If you say "yes" you're either lying, or you're not a competitor. I wouldn't hand over what I felt was mine either! At least not right away. The starting QB wins the number. That would be my terms.
  18. IIRC, Terrell Suggs ran a 4.8 something at the NFL combine and fell to the 11th pick b/c of it. If Ayers plays fast, his 40 time shouldn't be an issue.
  19. This is all very true and exactly how I saw the two. Wood is a natural center and has made his feelings known about playing the position. Barring injury, he will be the Bills' starting center for the next 10 years...
  20. LSU CB Patrick Peterson and UGA WR AJ Green, both scored very low on the wonderlic. "Peterson plays like a low test guy" is one scout's assessment. Yahoo Article
  21. Not sure why my video won't play. Is there some kind of ad website that pops up before the video, that my Host file may prevent loading? Of course I have Flash player installed and all of that good stuff. Anyone know of a potential conflict with my Host file?
  22. Remember when people were comparing Aaron Maybin to Jevon Kearse and Jason Taylor? Memories suck...
  23. You saw how fast they sprinted to the podium last year to select CJ Spiller. It was as if they were competing against another team to make the selection. Dear Bills Brass, You own the pick. You are not competing against anyone else. Use some time and see if a great offer rings the phone. Be smart. Above all, with the 3rd pick in the draft (or slightly lower) find us the next Buffalo Bill 1st ballot Hall of Famer...
  24. While I don't know much about these CBA talks, I DO know that NFL agents only charge around 3 percent of a contract. Could you imagine if they did make 20% on each multi million dollar contract? They would literally be swimming in money! Drew Rosenhaus Also, if he had to pay his literary agent 15-20%, then shame on him for being stupid. The standard take for agents on the entertainment side (acting, publishing, etc) is 10%.
  25. The infamous cigarette picture: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Eliza-Kruger/192979414065313 Meh. He could've done better...
