  1. Do you remember the "big four"? Malcolm Kelly, James Hardy, Limas Sweed, Devin Thomas. What a weak group that turned out to be.
  2. Maybe it's because he got first downs in 3rd and ... situations and kept the offense on the field..? He also got out of a 1st and 20 situation, something that I don't remember Edwards EVER doing..
  3. Sorry, I just don't think the rest of the league has a woody for Brown like many of you think. If Brohm, a former highly touted 2nd round draft pick, could clear waivers and land on GB's practice squad, I don't think any other team is waiting to add Levi to their roster. He's a 7th round pick that hasn't exactly lit the NFL world on fire. No other team would replace any of their active roster players, with a project QB.
  4. Calling Troy Vincent. Calling Troy Vincent. You're needed at the QB. Thank you.
  5. I think Anthony Gray was a bigger preseason star than Lionel Gates and was dumbfounded when he was released. Then again, no other team ever picked him up and he was never given an option for the practice squad, so maybe they found out he had AIDS or something..
  6. This video has been circulating for awhile now. Anyway, they failed to test TrINT's true reaction time. He should have been hit by a DL/LB/DB/bird/random balloon flying around on the field, before the test was administered. Only then could TrINT's true reaction time be gauged..
  7. Oh, so we don't want him to magically rise and become the 2nd coming of Joe Montana? I'd put away my dislike for him really quick if that were to happen. As of now however, I wouldn't mind turning the page and giving our other QBs a chance to sink/swim - by other QBs, I mean Brohm and Brown.
  8. Has there ever been a player in NFL history, who has received as many opportunities as this guy has, yet continued to fail time and time again? TrINT is going into his 4th season and looks worse than he did as a rookie QB. There has been no progression. I refused to get giddy when all the camp reports were coming back, "TrINT is the man! He's so much more confident out there. He's a leader now." Yes, I realize it was the first preseason game, but I saw in TrINT the same thing I saw in him last year and the year before that and the year before that: Edwards takes the snap, looks immediately for his outlet receiver and throws a pass into his feet. On that third down pass that he threw to Lynch, he had an even better option open further downfield - a WR who would've gotten the first down. TrINT lulls you with his measureables only to disappoint you with his intangibles. I want the guy to succeed as much as anyone else, because I am a Buffalo Bills fan first and foremost, but I think we are in for a deja vu type of season. I hate to bring it up again, but we should've rolled the dice on Clausen at #41. He looked better orchestrating his 1st offensive NFL series, than TrINT looks as a 4th year player..
  9. We have sooo many RBs, that this is not that big of a blow at all.. Lynch is actually the more physically gifted of the two.
  10. I'll watch, but not much.. I'm more of a Buffalo Bills fan than I am an NFL fan. I just don't care about watching any of the other teams..
  11. TrINT - get the spelling of his name correct!
  12. I fixed your typo for you. You can thank me later...
  13. A college All-Star team, sure. Definitely. But as others have mentioned, it would be tough for a great college team (i.e. USC 4 years ago), to beat even the worst NFL team. More than half of the guys on that great college team would fail to even get an invite to an NFL training camp. No matter how terrible that NFL team may be, every single player on that roster, down to the 3rd string QB, is still an NFL player (who most likely had great success as a collegian)..
  14. I concur. One of the biggest issues I had with Trynt last year, was that he never personally accepted the blame for his futile play. Yes the situation around him wasn't the greatest and could've been better, but he never held himself accountable. EVERYTHING was "we". "'We' need to make those throws, 'we' need to step up and help our defense out, 'we' need to make plays on offense. It's frustrating and I know that 'we' are capable of doing better." Yes Trynt, YOU are capable of performing better. The first step in becoming a better player and a leader is to accept blame for situations that you have the ability to control. Such as, making plays and delivering the ball to where it's supposed to go, when you have time to pass. Also, not throwing a 2 yd pass in consecutive games on 4th and 20 when a play, any play, needed to be made past the markers. Trynt was not born a leader, but he seems to be taking steps in securing a leadership role. It's a start..
  15. Hey, I'm not gonna tell the guy that he's a soft Wang. That's why God created two genders!
  16. Toughness issue? Maybe someone should pick a fight with Wang once he's able to practice again. Are there any mean players on this defense?
  17. I got a test for you all: when I was preparing for the basketball season, I would run 16 100 yd sprints. Sprint the 100 yds and your rest period is the walk back to the starting position. Needless to say, around the 12th sprint, that walk back would take oh so long
  18. I heard differently.. He uses his third leg.
  19. Focusing on football, Varsity Edge Article This article does a good job to break down the odds of getting a scholarship at a D1 program. Even though all 254,000 high school seniors do not wish to play in the NFL, I think this number would be a good one in sizing up one's odds. 254,000/1,700 - roughly 1 in every 150 seniors that play high school football, will play in the NFL.. If the math is configured to only focus on those who actually play college football - D1, D2, and D3, the odds get even better. Of course, none of these numbers factor in talent, ability, and skill - all factors that would make an athlete's chances to play professionally, even greater..
  20. I hate this argument. Teachers use this whenever a little kid states, "I want to be a professional _________ player!". The argument is flawed, because it discounts the fact that genetics, hard work, and the brain, are the primary factors in determining an individual's athletic success. The argument is set up more like a lottery. The study should be gauged against only those who play that sport, considering that if you do, you are not competing against some girl in Malaysia to make it professionally. If you live in the US, you have an even greater advantage. The chances are still slim to make it professionally in any sport, but they are much greater than the, "1 in 3 million" outlook..
  21. That's A LOT to entrust in an injury prone player who has yet to throw a single NFL pass. It's basically like he has won the lottery - he hasn't earned any of that money. Does this put him ahead of Manning and Brady?
  22. Give Moats and Batten a chance before you're so quick to dismiss. Who cares about where they were drafted, or the small schools that they came from, one (or both) may turn into a find. One of the first things Drayton Florence tweeted back at OTAs, "just got to camp. I can tell you this, that #57 (Batten) is a player." Our own figure head Chris Brown, stated that Batten was the fastest OLB the Bills have. Give them a chance to sink or swim and don't automatically assume that both will suck, like every other previous late round LB..
  23. Are you sure? The Spiller shoe I'll give you, but I'm not conceding that he weighs more than that Nike shoe, until the shoe and Maybin are simultaneously placed on the scale..
  24. I thought this thread was in reference to someone jacking Spiller for his paper. To the OP - no homo.
  25. Yesterday, while walking up the stairs, I met a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. I wish, I wish, he'd go away...
