  1. I thought your video was going to show Orakpo making a play.. Maybin desperately needs to get stronger this offseason and add more "natural" strength - not packing on 30 pounds of muscle just to look good at an NFL combine. The reason why Schobel can play at 243 pounds and make a decent amount of plays, is that he is "country" strong, natural strength. Maybin looks as though he plays with no power...
  2. I obviously knew you were joking and threw the sarcasm back at you...
  3. If you like to think that most animals dont suffer Philster, you should never approach a vegan and ask him/her, "share with me your knowledge". The majority of animals suffer - from fawns who aren't allowed to stand, or move around (creates tender meat), to the thousands and thousands of chickens that live their entire life standing solitary in a cramped cage. The real truth behind what we do to "food" animals is sick...
  4. This is true... An animal is an animal. I dont agree with or support dog fighting, but to say that Vick is a sociopathic killer is a bit much. People hunt animals for sport as well. Why devalue an animal's life because it is your food? People in China have long been connected with eating dogs.
  5. Well it couldn't happen next year, as he signed a 2 year contract, but Dungy is Vick's mentor. If Dungy would like to coach the Bills and bring in Vick the year after the upcoming one, it could be interesting..
  6. Horrible?? Really?! So you would rather have the highest paid OT in the league, giving up sacks at a rate not commensurate with his pay? A LT that earned the comment on national tv, "this guy came into the league as an undrafted tight end and tonight he's playing like one". A LT who assessed his play was substandard, because his contract was substandard. You would rather have this guy on the team? NO THANKS!! Even if Peters was playing at an all world level, you can't fault Russ for dumping this piece of garbage. Maybe Bell will improve his strength in the offseason and become a rock on the OL, if not, draft a LT high for security reasons. The trade of Peters which provided the Bills Eric Wood and Shawn Nelson, was Brandon's first GREAT decision.
  7. Therein lies the problem. I think if it was solely Russ Brandon's call, Jauron would've been fired last year. I remember distinctly (after the Miami game in Toronto) his anger over the team's performance, as well as DJ's coaching ability. He doesn't have enough power in the FO to impose whatever changes he would really like to make. Here again, you can blame Wilson. Look, Im not saying Russ is a top notch GM - he hasnt been on the job long enough to give him the credit - but those who are blaming him aren't looking at the entire situation. Russ could be Polian v 2.0, or he could be a "John Guy" equivalent GM. We just don't know...
  8. This is absolutely true. Russ didnt hire Dick Jauron (Levy), Russ didnt draft Whitner over Ngata (Levy/Modrak), Russ didnt trade back up into the first round to select McCargo (Levy/Modrak), Russ didnt blow money on failed, high priced free agents (John Guy), what Russ has done in his short time as a GM is draft promising young OL, rid the team of a malcontent OT (Peters), and brought in a hall of fame WR (though on the downside of his career). IMO, the only thing we can criticize Russ for, is drafting Maybin over Oher, although the book is not out on Maybin and hindsight is always 20/20. Dont blame Russ Brandon for finally starting to get things right on this roster, blame Levy, Modrak, Guy, and Ralph...
  9. Yeah they did grow up together. Somebody (James Brown?) had sat them down and interviewed them together. Questions were the typical: who's faster? who has the better hands? better route runner? stronger? etc. and they often reflected on their childhood growing up. I tried to find the video on youtube, but no luck...
  10. I've heard this SAME thing from those who attended games last year...
  11. hahahaha... the DB train never stops. Enough with the secondary, the picks next year should be QB, OL, and front 7. NOTHING ELSE!!
  12. Sometimes I wish that Lee Evans would go to a team with a more than capable QB, so that we can hear all of the, "nice job front office, for trading yet another talented player off this roster. " People around here whine too much about the players on this team that actually have talent and aren't able to utilize it. Maybe it's frustration, or maybe it's just stupidity...
  13. You must not be one of the many posters on this board who have the unfortunate task of actually attending the barf fests. According to them, we have WRs (namely T.O. and Evans) running around open on almost every play, yet the ball never gets delivered to them. The last time I checked, Lee Evans can't throw to Lee Evans. It wouldn't matter how many times he's getting open if the ball never flies his way...
  14. b/c he knows that the QB is the problem and can't substantiate a claim against that fact...
  15. Tony Boselli was also a hall of fame talent (when healthy)...
  16. I've been one of D. Bell's supporters. I believe that he has the tools, but needs to add strength in the offseason and needs to focus on keeping his head in the game - eliminating unnecessary penalties. I think he does have a high ceiling though and I'm looking forward to seeing how this season prepares him for the next...
  17. YES!! Sadly the stat is true... He barely eclipsed 300 yds ONCE in his Stanford career and has yet to throw for 300 in an NFL game.
  18. Leaders not only hold themselves accountable for their actions, but they also hold others accountable as well. Edwards does neither. All you ever here is, "It was frustrating/We had a good week of practice but we couldn't get it done/There were opportunities for plays to be made, but for whatever reason we weren't able to capitalize on those/We need to be able to hit on some of those plays/We have a good group of guys and we are learning with every game/We have coaches that are heading us in the right direction/etc/etc/etc"
  19. Fitzpatrick is definitely a back up QB and everyone around here realizes that. What people like you have to realize, is that Edwards is also a backup QB. Stop trying to defend his scared and gutless play, I've seen enough of Trentative...
  20. Evans wouldn't endorse Edwards as the unquestioned starter (something he did do with Losman).
  21. Fitzpatrick threw for more yards in his first NFL start (310), than Trentative has EVER thrown for in his career! (this includes ALL years in the NFL, as well as ALL games played at Stanford)
  22. Jets didnt exactly beat us to him. Mangold went 3 picks later after we traded back up to select John McCargo...
