  1. Over on the Bengals board they want to blow the OL up completely. All players can go except for Jonah Williams and… Spain (!) They seem to like him.
  2. I’d like to see Epenesa get his weight back up to where it was at Iowa, but functional, not just fat. I also want to see Cody Ford approach this off-season like a mad man, trimming up and getting stronger in his lower body. These dudes were picked in the 2nd round after stellar collegiate careers. I refuse to believe the talent isn’t there, especially in Epenesa’s case because he seems like such a hard worker.
  3. Need a DE like Maxx Crosby. Dude plays right around 100% of the snaps (including 82 in a game this year) and is just relentless on almost every single one. Anyone remember what percentage of snaps Bruce took in his prime?
  4. Just heard Matthew Stafford is a future HoFer. Really? Matthew Stafford?
  5. Just read in this same article a NY better laid down $5,000 for the Jets to win it all at 200-1 odds. $5,000. I mean, there’s better ways to blow that kind of money. It’s easy to see why Vegas stays rich.
  6. Yeah impossible to know how the Bills would’ve fared against the Bengals. I do know that Cincinnati got the KC team we had to face for the first half in their game and were getting smoked. Bills absolutely could’ve laid an egg versus the Bengals or the Rams, but if they came to play, neither of those teams would’ve beaten Buffalo. KC shouldn’t have and they were playing outstanding.
  7. Not the way I’d want my company to blow millions of dollars for a SB slot!
  8. Always well talked about. Is it weird I choose the game to take some of my commercial breaks? 😂
  9. Zendaya. She joins Madonna, Cher, and Beyoncé as artists known on a first name basis.
  10. Key phrase is both teams are home. Not sure either is laughing.
  11. He had option(s) to start on other teams? Because I recall Beane saying the market wasn’t what Mitch thought it would be, so he came to Buffalo for a reset year. If he had other options to start I highly doubt he would’ve taken such a paltry salary to be a backup for a year, unless you’ve heard something to the contrary…
  12. It is pretty shocking the Colts would trade a first round pick for a struggling QB who was benched on his previous team. Regardless of Reich’s relationship with him, why not sign Trubisky to a one year prove it deal and keep your first rounder? Trubisky said he came to Buffalo due to a lack of opportunity as a starter elsewhere. That was a shockingly bad move by Colts GM. Almost as shocking as the Bills getting pwned in that game.
  13. I continue to say if the Bills were up by less than 3, you would’ve seen a completely different defense those last 13 seconds. And the shame in this scenario is that’s exactly how they should’ve approached it - same urgency, same reluctance to give up the “game winning” FG.
  14. I do think Jones will improve a ton once they start surrounding him with some legitimate weapons and that could be a scary proposition seeing as how his efficiency had him at 70+ completion percentage many games. He reads the field well and is accurate. He’s also not afraid to throw the ball up to his receiver in hopes that receiver makes a play, so once K’Neal Harry is replaced by a talent like AJ Brown or DK Metcalf, maybe his game won’t be such a laughing matter anymore.
  15. Allen says Stafford has top 5 arm talent of all time. I don’t many QBs before I started watching religiously in 1996, but Stafford seems like a stretch. Off the top of my head I’ve got (in no particular order): Elway, Marino, Favre, J George, and Allen. Is this a bad list?
  16. I picked Davis because it’s hard to find a man that big and heavy who moves that well. Only caveat would be I’d want him to play more than 50% of the snaps to maximize his value to the defense. If thats not guaranteed, go with a speedy CB or WR who will play close to 100% of the snaps.
  17. It can be drugs AND a mental health issue like CTE. One doesn’t preclude the other.
  18. 16 years seems excessive, but I’m glad the woman lived. What is Ruggs likely to get? Life? I look at his crime a bit different, seems more careless (and heinous) and obviously that poor woman and her dog burned alive.
  19. Maybe this post would’ve held up better had Josh not had TWO Herculean games in the postseason, one of which qualified as an all time greatest performance in NFL history. You’re right, he’s not as sharp as last year, he’s sharper.
  20. Farwell essentially became Bass’s personal cheerleader before he was drafted, so I’ll give him credit for that. If he wasn’t so high on him I don’t know if the Bills take him at that pick. The article I read talked about Farwell meeting Bass (at the Senior Bowl?), seeing how the ball exploded off his foot, then running and telling the higher ups how they absolutely had to draft the guy. From there Beane started doing his homework and giving Bass a closer look.
  21. You can tell he very well may be a womanizer. Not uncommon with celebs. Tried to search for the story I referenced, found a wiki blurb about it:
  22. Turned out his best half of season, true. Still, you’d like to see him want to be around his teammates, especially after sitting out a year. He’s not obligated to, but that’s what you’d like to see.
  23. From what I see, after sitting out a year due to COVID, Star came back unvaccinated and unwilling to participate with his teammates in OTAs. He also sat out for personal reasons. These aren’t trouble making off the field issues, they’re issues that cause fans to rightly or wrongly question his commitment to the game.
  24. Of course the issues in the run game aren’t all Edmunds fault, take for example that TD run by Harris in the first Patsie game where it looked like Edmunds overran the play. He was caught in no man’s land, it was a 2 way go for Harris and Edmunds ran to the outside hole. Once Harris cut back inside it was off to the races. I do blame him for plays that are entirely within his control, like failing to stop Fournette on a crucial 3rd and 1 in overtime where it was just him and the RB in the hole. Also blame him for some of his coverage awareness where at times he doesn’t recognize the receiver coming into his zone and is left to chase the ball. His awareness in his 4th year hasn’t increased significantly from his rookie season. Maybe that’s attributed to instincts, where I feel he’s lacking in that area as well. To put it simply, I want Edmunds to play the position on the field that comes with the least amount of thinking - see ball, get ball. Because the Bills employ a nickel defense more than most teams, I’m not sure that position exists, other than DE, and there’s no way he’s excelling there. Explore a trade, Beane.
  25. Surprised I’ve never heard a spin-off of Swami’s famous phrase: “no one, circles the toilet, like…” “no one circles the drain, like…” Once heard a story about how some guy had been working a girl at the bar for awhile, trying to get her number. In walks Berman with his entourage and he looks at the girl and tells her something like “you’re with me, leather” and she instantly went with him, leaving the other guy standing there like an idiot. Celebrity has its perks!
