  1. I'll be another rooting for the Saints. Particularly after Indy deliberately pissed away their perfect season opportunity. I hope the football Gods don't take too kindly to that. But that city - New Orleans - needs something to revitalize, after the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
  2. If Nix was head of the draft last year, Orakpo or Cushing would have been the pick - you can almost bank on that. I don't believe that he would have selected Jairus Byrd though..
  3. As long as Dat is leaving under his own will and we are not picking up the fired scraps from yet another team..
  4. Ding, Ding, Ding! If I knew that I was a mediocre employee and a new boss just arrived, I'd be one of the first to speak up and endorse him. At least give him some element of guilt if he was thinking about firing me and my $6M/yr contract. Kelsay was a terrible draft pick and to think, Donahoe actually had considered and would have selected him in the first round, had another team selected McGahee before the 23rd pick. When we selected McGahee, the posts on here were, "would you be any more upset if Kelsay was selected in the first and McGahee in the second? We got two great draft picks." If only Donahoe's first choice fell to the Bills (Polamalu), we'd be sitting in a much better situation. I wish the Bills were the only team in the NFL with an NFL Draft crystal ball.. But then again, Ralph would still find some way to screw it up!
  5. Actually, the Jets denied proposals asking for Harris to be a part of trades. Broncos wanted Harris in a package deal that would have given the Jets Brandon Marshall, but the Jets denied the request. It's not like the Jets were shopping him, other teams wanted him but were refused. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2009/09/l...ris_consid.html There is NO WAY with his speed and quickness, that he'd be an extreme liability. Have you even watched Harris play? He's much more athletic than our very own Poz..
  6. I watched both parts. The videos were powered by stereotypical occult type characters, so it makes Penn & Teller's assertions easier to accept for those who discredit the board. Add the psychologist and the conclusion is concrete right? False. The blindfold trick was unconvincing. After flipping the board, if the oracle were to go to the relocated yes/no locations, the blindfolded question seekers wouldn't receive their answer. If you ask a yes/no question, you're expecting the oracle to go to the yes/no locations - not for it to meander to unknown parts of the board. Try the Ouija board yourself, before accepting a flawed study as fact...
  7. This is old news, but had that actually went down, the Bills would have imploded. You don't hire a coach who almost went winless, to lead your team to the promise land. Sporano took that same roster and went 11-5 the following year. If that's not direct proof of coaching (and the Bill Parcells effect), then I don't know what is...
  8. At least you're getting an early start with this question.. Every game last year could be found online. Whether or not that happens this coming year, remains to be seen. If the games are not online next year, 97 rock was streaming every game this past year - WGRF-FM Although I'm not sure how they got away with it unless the NFL eliminated their greedy field pass...
  9. What's even dumber, is the OP's belief that Chan Gailey is an offensive genius. He doesn't stop there - he tries to discredit "the hoodie" Bill Belichek as a defensive genius. Belichek has a handful of SB rings, but Gailey is the genius.
  10. So you're disputing that Belichek is a defensive genius, yet you're labeling Chan Gailey an offensive genius?!?! Dude you lose ALL credibility in whatever else you decide to post. But since you asked, I went and looked up the numbers from the Patsies* defensive unit (without Rodney Harrison, Vrabel, Seau, Bruschi, Seymour, Samuel, and I'm sure I'm omitting others, but I don't care. I'm not going to do the homework - it's the Patsies*) Total defense: #11 Total points allowed: #5 3rd Down Pct: #12 Yes, Belichek is a defensive genius. I don't have a clue who I'm talking about? Because I tabbed Walsh, LeBeau, Belichek, and "whoever orchestrated the 46 defense"? Sorry if I didn't feel like looking up the name, I figured you would get the point. I'll make sure that I do my homework the next time, so that I may sound more well informed; leaving you able to comprehend. If you feel that calling those individuals a genius in the sport is loosely thrown around on my part, then you don't know football. Go back to feeling that Chan Gailey is a genius, while Belichek is an also ran. Dude, I know your glasses are rosy, but you're crossing over into stupidity..
  11. The 5 stages of grief: 1. Denial 2. Anger 3. Bargaining 4. Depression 5. Acceptance Many went from stage 2, immediately to stage 5. Me? I'll remain in stage 4, until Gailey gives me a reason to feel different about the team that I love..
  12. There aren't many geniuses - that's the point. The only coaches you could tab "genius" are the ones who were innovative; started a scheme that was totally new. Walsh started the west coast offense and took the NFL by storm - genius. Belichek, as much as I hate him, is a defensive genius. Dick LeBeau is the architect of the zone blitz scheme - and was a genius in his time, until the rest of the NFL caught up to him. Whoever designed the Bears "46" defense and so on and so forth. A genius is an individual who either creates a scheme that takes the NFL by storm, or gets much more out of the roster that he has. I don't throw the term around as loosely as you do. Chan Gailey a genius?! Please...
  13. First time I've heard ANYONE refer to Chan Gailey as a "genius" in any respects. For all his genius, he couldn't get past the preseason as OC of the Chiefs. Gailey is far from a genius - he may do well when he has the talent to work with, but to call him a genius, would imply that he would do well with sub par talent. Point to one instance in which he took subpar talent and finished top 10 in every major offensive category. I love the spin that optimistic Bills fans continue to put on things. I of course am hoping that Gailey goes undefeated next year, but history tells me otherwise...
  14. Haha, although I wouldn't have said it as attacking. But seriously, I gave the FO the benefit of the doubt when Gregg Williams was hired over Fox and Lewis. Strike 1. I gave the FO the benefit of the doubt when a nobody named Mularkey became HC. Strike 2. I begrudgingly, gave the FO the benefit of the doubt when Dick Jauron was hired after years of failure. Strike 3. There's only so many times you can pee in my face, tell me it's lemonade, and expect me to soak it up. This FO has no proven track record and therefore, are not afforded any more "benefit of the doubts". Chan Gailey. Chan FREAKIN' Gailey. Enough said...
  15. Same thing happened after the Jauron hire. I don't have the energy to go and dig up those posts, but about 90% of the people on this board were pissed - and rightfully so. But there were a few saying, We all know how that one turned out...
  16. Ouija boards are also real!! Me and my sister used to play with one all the time, but the scary part was when the board started conversations. No lie. I get chills as I type this and remember back to those times. The board spelled out a joke (can't remember the joke today) and my sister and I laughed. The next thing that was spelled out was, "I used to be a comedian in my former life." We stopped touching the oracle and just looked at each other. The board isn't supposed to have conversations with you! If you think I'm BS'ing about the Ouija board, go out and buy one. Find another skeptic and both of you sit down and ask it questions - doesn't have to be at night or under any freaky circumstances. Come back to this board and tell me I'm lying...
  17. A cowpoke's opinion in regards to Gailey: Sounds AWFULLY similar to what Bears fans were saying when Dick Jauron was hired...
  18. While coordinating a defense with considerably less talent, Frazier wasn't able to get more out of what he had, and was subsequently fired as a defensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals. Perry Fewell did more with less, than Frazier did with his "devoid of talent" Bengal roster.
  19. I would hate for that watermelon to be my head! Or maybe... But for the record, I believe in ghosts. My mother has had some experiences with them in the past, but all I've ever encountered, were voices whispering in my ear (when no one was around). It's a true story, happened when I was young, and was loud enough to wake me up. I couldn't make out the words though (wasn't English)..
  20. Though I haven't looked it up, I believe it was Randall Cunningham to Moss - during Moss' rookie season and the year Minnesota went 15-1 in the regular season (only to lose to the Falcons in the playoffs, with Gary Anderson's first missed FG of the year).
  21. We've made it all the way to page 3 and I have yet to see someone state that Marshawn Lynch, or James Hardy, were Harrison's accomplices. Good job! Harrison is guilty and if the thing ever gets to the court, he has essentially hung himself with his statement, "the gun was never taken out prior to today. It has not been fired since 2006 and has been locked up in my safe ever since then." The same gun that was fired at Nixon & the Fat Man, just a day prior. Oh and Harrison was wearing a piece on his ankle when the cops approached him? That's gangsta We need a smiley that shoots machine guns...
  22. I can't blame the Bills for not taking a tackle in 2008. How did we miss the boat when we had two starting tackles in Peters and Walker? I do blame the Bills for not re-signing Greer and using the McKelvin pick on interior OL or DL, but I can't fault them for not selecting a tackle. They didn't know that Peters would later refuse $9M/yr and demand to be the highest paid OT in the league.
  23. I actually liked Perry as our HC, better than I liked him as our DC. The only reason I object to bringing him back, is that I hate the cover two. I agree with a few others, I'd prefer Fewell to Frazier - the guy knows the personnel, has done a decent job with marginal/street free agent level talent, and has HC experience.
  24. So this is what you do in the offseason Trent? No wonder why you suck...
