  1. Still too early to write off the Pats. Remember they started 1-3 last year and rebounded to not only be in the division lead, but top seed in AFC in December before ultimtaely unraveling. At this point though it's hard to bet against Miami given the weapons they have on both sides of the ball compared to the pats. And even if Tua isn't perfect (which he wasn't yesterday) they showed they might have the right formula to win a lot of games.
  2. Really hope the Ravens season doesn't get derailed by injuries for the 2nd straight year because I have them right up there with the Bills/Chiefs/etc as top contenders in the AFC.
  3. Dolphins have a much tougher task than the Bills in week 2 going to Baltimore. But beyond that can guarantee they are looking to make a statement against the Bills in a few weeks and would be in the division lead regardless of the outcomes of both teams respective games in week 2. If both teams are 2-0 and the Dolphins win they'd essentially have an early 2 game lead in the division because of head to head.
  4. I think this might end up being a big mistake by LJ. He's a damn good QB, possibly in that top 5 conversation but unless he wants out of Baltimore altogether hard to understand this move by his camp. Also the Browns completely destroyed the current/future QB market with the ridiculous Watson deal which is a big factor here.
  5. It's why I said it's not a knock on Diggs...love him and everything he's done here and hopefully will win a ring with this team. But when I see what Jefferson has done already and what's he's about to this year with an offensive minded head coach it's crazy to think how much better the Bills would be had they just stayed put and took him. Hindsight always 20/20 just think Jefferson is that much better.
  6. Only problem with this is that Titans still got into position for a very makeable FG attempt despite missing it. I still think the bigger issue with 13 seconds is McD and Fraziers scheme and approach which will no doubt rear it's ugly head again at some point this season. Can't just drop back 10+ yards off the line of scrimage and play prevent defense which will continue to fail in similar situations especially against QB's that can avoid the pass rush like Mahomes.
  7. Jimmy G will be starting again soon for the 49ers based if Lance continues to look like hot garbage. Hard to write any team off after week one but Cowboys future is pretty dismal at present.
  8. Week one overreactions are fun but we know very little about most teams right now including the Bills. But if you would like to base everything on week one I would say Chiefs hands down the best team in the league with Bills not far behind. Also think Dolphins, Ravens and Chargers going to be in the picture.
  9. It's not a knock on Diggs but I don't understand the logic that it's a good trade for both teams. Vikings won this big time because they got the better, younger and cheaper (not for long) player. No rational, unbiased Bills fan can honestly believe Diggs is better or this trade was a win in terms of the bigger picture.
  10. The problem with all these contracts that look like a bargain on the surface is eventually the chickens come home to roost. And whether or not the Bills do find real success this year and win a SB, a lot of these guys (and their agents) are going to demand more money as they see other (in some cases lessor) players get big paydays.
  11. Would be a very Doug Marrone like move if that's the case to bail on a 1st round pick QB after barely playing a full season worth of games. Also don't think Flacco is nearly as good as Kyle Orton circa 2014 at this point as well.
  12. Considering most of this board and Bills mafia in genearl feels the Bills would have won it all if they held on against KC why not? Also it is the defending SB champs. Again personally this game is being way overblown and it truly means nothing win or lose for the Bills long term aspirations this year.
  13. Like I said nothing would surprise me with the Pats this year including being in contention for the #1 overall pick and/or getting back to the SB. What's most puzzling is how they are handling the offense and not adequately replacing Josh McDaniels which may ultimately lead to Belichik's demise. If it works out obviously he'll be praised as a genius yet again.
  14. This is similar to my rational for why I think the Bills lose this game. In addition to the fact I still hate McD's overall record against good teams especially on the road. At the same time though certainly won't be shocked if the bills win and win decisively.
  15. Not really, as usual this time of year I'm hoping for good things but also mentally and emotionally prepared to be disappointed. Also not really concerned about all the hype around this weeks game as it means very little in the bigger picture win or lose.
  16. At this point I still say no because of two words: Sean McDermott. History is not on this teams side in general in terms of all the media hype but doesn't mean they still can't be the last team standing with a little luck and effort, and getting homefield in the AFC playoffs as well.
  17. It obviously worked out for the Rams but not so much for the bills. My overall point is that in some ways I think it would be a bad thing for this team to come out like gangbusters and look dominant from the opening kickoff of week one. They got way too cocky last year after dominating early in the season after the Steelers loss only to take a few months off before putting it all together again late. A week one humbling on the road against the defending world champs might actually be a good thing in terms of the bigger picture.
  18. I think best case for the Patriots this year is Mac Jones takes a big step in year 2 and makes a woefully subpar supporting cast on offense look serviceable and the defense performs up to expectations of a Belichik unit. Worst case could be drastically different. Either way this is one of the toughest teams in the league to accurately forecast this year because they could be anywhere between the 4 win bottom feeder team to a 11+ win division title/SB contender.
  19. Good for Trubisky winning the QB1 job in Pittsburgh but obviously he's going to have a short leash if he doesn't perform at a high level early and/or the Steelers aren't on the winning side of many games.
  20. I think we all hope he's right but at the end of the day only one team is going to be left standing and the more I look around the NFL, particularly the AFC, there's just so many good teams that have as good as chance as the Bills to win it all this year.
  21. Talk about one of the greatest finds in NFL history in an UDFA TE who converted to possibly the best LT to ever play the game. I'm not mad that he didn't want to stay in Buffalo but heck of a footnote in terms of Bills and NFL history as a whole.
  22. If the Bills lose in a few days (which I suspect may happen), the stink of 13 seconds is going to smell even worse as the pressure will start to mount right off the bat.
  23. My biggest concern with this game is the bills making it their 'super bowl' so to speak like the SNF game last year against the chiefs when they coincidentally went 3-5 over the next 8 games after putting all their eggs in that basket to prove they could not only hang with them but win. I also think it's a monumental task asking this team to go into the defending SB champions home turf where they hoisted the lombardi in the last game of the season on Feb. My gut instinct tells me the bills lose and by a decent margin which is probably a good thing in terms of a reality check and getting their ready for the rest of the season: Rams 35 Bills 23
  24. I agree that that until the Fish actually beat this team there's nothing to worry about, but my concern is that they will finally do that in week 3 and get over the hump. And it's the confidence booster that could go a long way looking at how their schedule lines up down the road with a lot of winnable games similar to the Bills after a brutal start.
  25. I'd say your full of crap because no one honestly knows. The very well might be down the road but asking 2 pure rookies (regardless of draft status) to play at an effective level from day one against an offense like the Rams is foolish and shortsighted thinking by this team. Beane loves to think he's the smartest guy in the room and the fans that grovel over him feed narrative, but he's already proven to be dead wrong so many times and not signing a veteran QB on a team with SB aspirations shows his lack of foresight.
