  1. I said all along it was a big mistake not bringing in a veteran DB in the offseason. With that said, if Rhodes has anything left in the tank this is as good an in season signing at a position of need you can probably get at this point similar to what the Bucs just did with our old friend Beasely.
  2. Dumpster diving mid season is never a good thing. Beane is going to need to swing a trade and be willing to give up future draft picks and/or one of our DT/DE's for any player of note that would actually help.
  3. Yes but I've said all along the over the top worship for McDermott and Beane is pretty unwarranted. Without Josh Allen it's simply a different reality right now and I suspect both would already be fired similar to regimes past.
  4. This season is on the precipice of going the way of the Ravens last year, who ironically we play this week. Just goes to show nothing is guaranteed in this league and we are going to have to start making significant roster moves soon just to field enough dressable bodies on Sundays.
  5. You really have to wonder how bad this team would be without an elite franchise QB. McDermott is just another shade of Dick Jauron, Chan Gailey, etc but he is bailed out because of Allen no matter how many fans defend him and claim otherwise. This is also why JA17 may win his first MVP award this year.
  6. And it's 16 too many quite frankly especially the drive that was killed giving him 2 straight pointless carries...
  7. I think to a certain degree, but Gabe Davis played yesterday and is clearly still injured and probably shouldn't have been out there. This coaching staff is going to have a big challenge this year if the injury issues don't slow down soon.
  8. JA17 is posting MVP numbers but you really wonder how long he can sustain this without a true compliment in the rushing game. And given the bad injury mojo with this team through the first 3 weeks I'm scared to death that it's only a matter of time before he gets hurt.
  9. This is still a soft team at it's core and that's a direct reflection on the head coach sadly. And until this team proves they can win a close football game again these narratives will be front and center.
  10. It's hard to say any of these teams because they all lost to quality opponents. I think in the Chargers case though I would say they had the worst loss because they were considered the AFCW favorites and SB contender by many but looks like their season may go up in flames because of poor coaching and Herbert's rib issue which won't improve unless he sits and misses games to get healthy. But the issues with that is they might be out of the playoff picture by the time he's healthy or close to 100%.
  11. Jags are legit and a top team in the AFC right now. Question remains whether or not they'll be able to sustain this but as I've said before Doug Pederson won a SB just 5 years ago and is one of the best coaches in the NFL.
  12. It's too early to say this was a bad move but I'm always leery of big extensions after a guy has one good season just like JA17 who at least proved he wasn't fluke and one year wonder. Hopefully Knox steps things up in the coming weeks or it will definitely be a questionable move by Beane.
  13. I don't necessarily have an issue with the outburst, but now I truly believe Dorsey is a psychopath. If there is ever a rash of unsolved murders in the greater Buffalo metro area the police might want to consider him a suspect!
  14. This is a pointless excuse considering the Bills and many other teams have fared well in Miami during previous september games. Also what is the NFL supposed to do force Miami to build a new stadium??
  15. I don't blame Moss for being a terrible NFL player, I blame the coaches and GM that are steadfast in their determination to keep him on the roster and give him meaningful playing time. Not sure what more it's going to take to understand that barring injuries, only Singletary and Cook should be getting touches in this offense.
  16. I've said all along that McDermott has a specific ceiling as a head coach which is directly tied to the fate of this team. And through the first 3 weeks it's been on full display, but now only magnified after the first loss of the 2022 campaign. 0-7 in one score games since 2020 means you have an inherent problem, and that's still being a soft football team that doesn't know how to respond in a heavyweight fight. Playing prevent defense on a 3rd and 22 proves that this staff has learned nothing since the chiefs playoff game either as that's the one singular play that swung yesterday's game IMO. I get that some of Bills mafia will never find fault with him and believe he should be here no matter what but I maintain this team will never go any further than the AFCCG with him.
  17. Not really. And even though I feel Hyde is a very important veteran piece to this defense, i don't think it necessarily changes this teams ultimate goal this year unless this season goes the way of the Ravens last year in terms of season ending injuries. Make no mistake about it though, this type of injury list two games into the season is not a good omen no matter how positive of a spin you want to put on it.
  18. Oliver injury is concerning to me. Either they are being ultra cautious with him or much more severe than initially thought, hopefully the former.
  19. Most teams defer including the Bills so you can't really fault the Rams or Titans for doing the obvious. Miami will do the same if they win the toss as well.
  20. Why would I be happy about this? He's one of the best players we have and for Hyde personally there's a lot more to think about than football given the nature of the injury. Hopefully he'll be fine but the bad injury mojo is already hanging a dark cloud over this team despite the hot start and that's the one thing that can stop a SB run dead in it's tracks no matter how good JA17 is playing.
  21. Saying he's going to be out of the lineup indefinitely isn't really reaching here given the circumstances and how this team handles injuries. Losing Hyde for the season cannot be understated in terms of how dramatically it would change this defense and teams SB aspirations so hopefully that's not a scenario that Bills mafia has to realize in the near term.
  22. Hill has always been a Bills killer even against White 100% healthy and in the lineup. To think he's not going to destroy this defense just because Mahomes isn't throwing to him is silly and both he and Waddle are going to EAT on Sunday.
  23. After watching last night game looks like both the Browns and Steelers aren't going very far this year. Bengals I think will get better as the season goes on but I'd still bet on the Ravens winning the AFCN and Bills get them next week in another big road game.
  24. There's a lot of rumors circulating online and easy to speculate he's done for the season based on the whole '2nd opinion' story. But no matter what's happening it's a safe bet that Hyde probably won't be in the lineup any time soon even if the injury isn't season/career ending.
  25. Hill and Waddle are the best WR combo in the league right now, Gesicki also an upper echelon TE. If the Bills can hold the dolphins to less than 24 points on Sunday given the current injury situation it will truly be impressive.
