  1. The deal with the Chiefs worked out great for both teams, just like our trade for Diggs gave the Vikings a great wr in Justin Jefferson. I still say the Jerry Hughes trade was the best in Bills history, considering we traded them a linebacker in Kelvin Sheppard who we would have cut anyway for a pro-bowl defensive end who is entering his 9th season with Buffalo.
  2. An big offer will still give them more leverage to increase the value of a deal with the Bills.
  3. The only problem is we may have to outbid teams like the Jaguars and Broncos who have $25 Million+ in cap room. Our team's success makes Buffalo more attractive to free agents, but if the Jags offer a player a huge guaranteed contract, not many would turn that down.
  4. Anyone remember Craig Nall? I think we only had him for a year after being Favre's backup. It's so refreshing that the qb carousel has stopped. For so many years we tried to find a starting qb in another team's trash heap (this strategy did pan out with Tyrod and Fitz to some degree)
  5. I remember in the dark ages following training camp hoping that guys like Gibran Hamdan or Matt Flynn would magically develop into star quarterbacks. Having a franchise quarterback masks many other weaknesses and attracts better free agents. We no longer have glaring holes in the roster, just a lack of stars at certain positions.
  6. Public financing would be the community buying shares of ownership in a team like the Packers did. Making taxpayers pay for a billionaire's property is just public theft.
  7. If we're going to pay for the entire stadium, then anyone living in the county should get free tickets since it should be considered public property.
  8. Trubisky will likely get the majority of preseason reps at qb. If he plays well I believe he could increase his trade value. Matt Barkley is still available and knows our offensive scheme very well. We would just be in the same situation we were in last year. If Allen goes down, there simply isn't another qb that can match his level of play. I would only trade Trubisky for a 2nd round pick. It sounds like a lot, but qb needy teams tend to overpay (we traded a 1st for Rob Johnson who was a 4th round pick) If that isn't offered, then I'm fine with keeping him as a great backup.
  9. It's really impossible to get an idea of how good linemen are until you get real reps in pads. The rookies will get plenty of preseason snaps that will give a better indication of their progress.
  10. Trubisky could end up being a starting qb this season if another team's starter goes down in training camp. A team like Washington or Houston could deal for him if their other options don't look impressive over the summmer. As much as I appreciate having a good backup, I would rather get a 2nd round pick from a desperate team.
  11. Considering this was the guy's next tweet, I think it's safe to say this is a parody account
  12. Dane Jackson will win the #2 cornerback job and lead the team in interceptions.
  13. PFF rated Devin Singletary the NFL's best pass protecting rb with a grade of 92.1 I believe Zack Moss fared well in pass protection as well, but may not have been trusted as much due to being a rookie and not having OTA's last year.
  14. Zack Moss may have more athletic upside, but Singletary is great in pass-protection and that fact will probably give him the majority of the snaps in the regular season. I think we have a really good three-headed monster in the backfield with the addition of Breida. I think DaBoll will make some tweaks to our run scheme to give our offense better balance.
  15. A way better example would be Wyatt Teller who was a backup here and is now one of the highest rated guards in the NFL with the Browns.
  16. No player should show up to camp without a contract. You get injured and you are completely screwed.
  17. To any madden players out there, If you own Madden 21, just go download one of the fan-created roster updates with the new rookie class added. Save the $60 for wings
  18. I like Duke Williams, but apparently the coaching staff doesn't. He's a physical big-body receiver, but he doesn't seem to have the agility and route-running ability to get consistent separation. Also, ever notice how he seems to get up hobbling after half of his catches?
  19. If the Davante Adams was on the trading block, it would mean that Aaron Rodgers is done in Green Bay. If that's the case, they would want a dependable qb in case Jordan Love doesn't pan out. Trubisky is probably the best backup in the entire league, so that's the guy GB would want. We're in win-now mode and adding a receiver of his caliber would make our offense absolutely deadly.
  20. Steve Christie used to live a few blocks away from me as a kid. I remember on Halloween there was a long line of trick-or-treaters at his house because he was giving away autographed photos. I think I traded mine away for a Snickers 🤣
  21. I think any team in the NFC West has the potential to make it to the Superbowl. The Cardinals have one of the best wr groups in the league (Hopkins, AJ Green, Rondale Moore) and just added JJ Watt on defense. The 49ers were ravaged by injuries last season and have one of the most talented rosters overall. McVay made Jared Goff look like a top qb and now he has a legitimate top qb in Stafford. They still have the best player in the league in Aaron Donald. The Seahawks are frequently underestimated before the season, yet Russell Wilson gets them in the playoffs almost every season. With a weak overall conference, I think we see 3 playoff teams from the NFC West this year. I think the Rams have the fire power to take out Tampa.
  22. Ty Nsekhe He could fill in at either tackle spot and not miss a beat. I don't feel quite as comfortable with Bobby Hart and 2 rookies behind our starters.
  23. Given the Panthers connection, I wouldn't rule out a prove-it deal for the vet minimum. I think his experience could really help in Ed Oliver's development.
  24. Since the contracts are based on slotting, maybe Spencer Brown's signing will be the one domino to get them all moving
