  1. This has to be to sign a newly cut player (or a trade for Ertz) and not for a Josh Extension. This move raises Diggs' cap hit for '22 which is the year that Allen's 5th year option and/or new contract money would take effect. I believe we get one starter out of the June cuts and extend Diggs next season to continuously keep his big cap hits on the horizon.
  2. Betteridge's law of headlines is an adage that states: "Any headline that ends in a question mark can be answered by the word no"
  3. Never heard of Lenoir, but the guy was extremely consistent as a starter in college 2014 75 catches 1030 yards 7 TDs 2015 83 catches 1184 yards 7 TDs 2016 76 catches 1093 yards 7 TDs
  4. I agree, I just mean they have a unique opportunity to grab some great players who are cut because of the cap situation. I do think they are on the rise though (assuming Lawrence isn't a bust)
  5. I think this announcement will kick off a new wave of extensions, restructures, and trades leaguewide. Then June 1st will come along and I guarantee there will be some shocking cuts across the league. I envy teams like the Jaguars (has that statement ever been made before?) that have a crazy amount of cap space to work with.
  6. Josh Allen would break every single season qb record with Andy Reid and that supporting cast
  7. Only guys I would have been willing to trade up for were Greg Newsome and Kwity Paye. I think all the Etienne talk was just a smokescreen.
  8. If we had picked Zay when our pick came up I wouldn't have been as bitter. When we traded up I was 90% sure Juju was the pick so I was pretty shocked at the time. It's the fact that we wasted draft capitol out of panic instead of waiting for the best available player. If we had Zay Jones head-and-shoulders above the other prospects on their board then Pegula clearly made the right call in firing everyone immediately after the draft. This was coming off their disastrous 2016 draft where Shaq Lawson was somehow the bright spot, no other starters were drafted, and 3 players were traded away before their rookie contracts were over. Having said that, it's incredibly refreshing to finally have a competent GM and staff that I trust to make good decisions and make wise gambles.
  9. It's always great when a player you were trying to trade up for just falls into your lap. Sometimes teams trade up out of paranoia and waste picks on a guy who would have been there anyway. I know the Bills tried to trade up for Ed Oliver but luckily didn't. Trading up for Zay Jones when JuJu Smith-Schuster, Alvin Kamara, Dalvin Cook, and Kenny Golladay would have been on the board with our original pick may have soured my opinion on trade ups.
  10. He's not the one forcing the team to trade him, they just need the cap room and draft picks to get their QB of the future. Usually they allow veterans to be in contact with teams and have some say as to where they'll end up. I'm not sure whether he has any kind of no-trade clause.
  11. I could see that happening, but Rodgers would need to sign an extension or restructure to get the cap room first. His cap hit is 37 Million this year and they only have 2 left to work with.
  12. He would be best off going to the Chargers. Young QB that is on his way to becoming Elite, great weather that helps the passing game, Keenan Allen will reduce the amount he is double-teamed, and they have 20 Million in cap room. I don't see why he would possibly want to go to NE. Rookie qb who wasn't a top-tier guy, run first offense, and it takes a long time to learn to play wide receiver in that offense from what I've heard.
  13. The GM refused to pay me illegally under the table for not working while not under contract, so I assaulted him. Hmmmm
  14. I think their numbers will be a little less eye-popping this year because we will run the ball a bit more and Sanders and Davis will get more passes thrown their way. I also think our defense will have a rebound year, taking some pressure off of our offense.
  15. The Matt Breida signing makes it almost impossible for him to make the 53. Antonio Williams may even be ahead of him in the coaches' eyes. The only way he makes the 53 is a major injury to Singletary or Moss. It's a great story with him making the conversion from rugby, but last years' lack of preseason and OTA's didn't give him a chance to get much experience. I'm excited for him and I would love to see him make big plays in the preseason again this year and make his case.
  16. I think QB is the only position where a redshirt year was considered normal, but over the past decade starting a rookie QB day one has become the expectation. If a DE can't be rotated in on pass rushing situations after being taken in the first round (barring injury) then something is wrong. Rousseau may have only played one full year in college, but that's exactly why he needs more reps. There's only so much you can learn on the practice field and in the film room. If Josh Allen hadn't been thrown into the fire year one, I don't think he would be where he is right now. Rookies are valuable because they are young and cheaper than free agents. I would rather put a guy out there who will make mistakes at times than a veteran who is past his prime and won't be here next season. I believe the trio of Rousseau, Basham, and Epenesa will be getting the majority of the reps by mid-season over Hughes/Addison/Odaba (if we even keep all three)
  17. I like this matchup because the Buccaneers will crush the Cowboys, preventing their obnoxious fans from trash talking about being a championship team. I hope Dak comes back and stays healthy, but I have no idea why I hear so much about such a mediocre under-achieving team.
  18. Any team that's been bad for a long stretch of time. Loyal fans deserve some reward for sticking with their team through bad seasons. I hope Burrow stays healthy and leads the Bengals to a winning season. It's fun to see some new faces in the playoffs.
  19. I hope he does not attempt a comeback. Jeopardizing his brain by subjecting it to more damage after multiple severe concussions is not worth a couple more years of playing. I hope for his own health that he is planning on going into coaching instead. Considering the Carolina/Buffalo pipeline, maybe he'll join our staff.
  20. Sign this guy and trade Fromm to the Packers for a 4th rounder
  21. The Lions left Kerryon for carrion but I think he'll carry on
  22. I like a 3 man front with Epenesa, Boogie, and Oliver, with Rousseau lurking a step back ready to shoot a gap in the interior.
