  1. I only started following and understanding football in 2000. I became so accustomed to consistent failure and disappointment that last season didn't even feel real to me.
  2. The silver lining with Hughes being on the NFI list is that the rookies were able to get more live reps. We have so much depth at DE now that there just aren't enough snaps to go around.
  3. If a player is available a year after being drafted in the top 10, then something is very wrong. Josh Rosen is the only other player I remember this happening to and now he's on his 4th team in as many years. If Henderson has a terrible attitude, then it's not worth hurting our locker room for a guy who didn't even look good as a rookie.
  4. Last time I heard of a Bills offensive lineman losing a ton of weight over the offseason, it was Quinton Spain and he got cut a few weeks into the season. I just hope the weight loss doesn't effect his ability to anchor.
  5. Drafting a qb with no backup plan was a terrible idea. If he's not ready to play, they have no other choice. I hope Darnold thrives with the Panthers just to expose how bad the Jets offensive staff is.
  6. He had all the measurables, but instincts are extremely important for a mlb. We traded up from #22 to #16 for Edmunds and then Leonard went at #36. The draft is a lottery and I would rather keep my picks (or trade down) to have as many tickets as possible. The Josh Allen trade-up has been the only successful one. We gave up draft capital for Zay Jones, Tremaine Edmunds, Cody Ford, and Dawson Knox and they are all either underachievers or busts.
  7. Edmunds is nowhere near the level of Leonard. He's worth half that based on his level of play.
  8. I think that might have been including all players currently signed (around 90), but only the top 53 count against the cap.
  9. The deal with the Chiefs worked out great for both teams, just like our trade for Diggs gave the Vikings a great wr in Justin Jefferson. I still say the Jerry Hughes trade was the best in Bills history, considering we traded them a linebacker in Kelvin Sheppard who we would have cut anyway for a pro-bowl defensive end who is entering his 9th season with Buffalo.
  10. An big offer will still give them more leverage to increase the value of a deal with the Bills.
  11. The only problem is we may have to outbid teams like the Jaguars and Broncos who have $25 Million+ in cap room. Our team's success makes Buffalo more attractive to free agents, but if the Jags offer a player a huge guaranteed contract, not many would turn that down.
  12. Anyone remember Craig Nall? I think we only had him for a year after being Favre's backup. It's so refreshing that the qb carousel has stopped. For so many years we tried to find a starting qb in another team's trash heap (this strategy did pan out with Tyrod and Fitz to some degree)
  13. I remember in the dark ages following training camp hoping that guys like Gibran Hamdan or Matt Flynn would magically develop into star quarterbacks. Having a franchise quarterback masks many other weaknesses and attracts better free agents. We no longer have glaring holes in the roster, just a lack of stars at certain positions.
  14. Public financing would be the community buying shares of ownership in a team like the Packers did. Making taxpayers pay for a billionaire's property is just public theft.
  15. If we're going to pay for the entire stadium, then anyone living in the county should get free tickets since it should be considered public property.
  16. Trubisky will likely get the majority of preseason reps at qb. If he plays well I believe he could increase his trade value. Matt Barkley is still available and knows our offensive scheme very well. We would just be in the same situation we were in last year. If Allen goes down, there simply isn't another qb that can match his level of play. I would only trade Trubisky for a 2nd round pick. It sounds like a lot, but qb needy teams tend to overpay (we traded a 1st for Rob Johnson who was a 4th round pick) If that isn't offered, then I'm fine with keeping him as a great backup.
  17. It's really impossible to get an idea of how good linemen are until you get real reps in pads. The rookies will get plenty of preseason snaps that will give a better indication of their progress.
  18. Trubisky could end up being a starting qb this season if another team's starter goes down in training camp. A team like Washington or Houston could deal for him if their other options don't look impressive over the summmer. As much as I appreciate having a good backup, I would rather get a 2nd round pick from a desperate team.
  19. Considering this was the guy's next tweet, I think it's safe to say this is a parody account
  20. Dane Jackson will win the #2 cornerback job and lead the team in interceptions.
  21. PFF rated Devin Singletary the NFL's best pass protecting rb with a grade of 92.1 I believe Zack Moss fared well in pass protection as well, but may not have been trusted as much due to being a rookie and not having OTA's last year.
  22. Zack Moss may have more athletic upside, but Singletary is great in pass-protection and that fact will probably give him the majority of the snaps in the regular season. I think we have a really good three-headed monster in the backfield with the addition of Breida. I think DaBoll will make some tweaks to our run scheme to give our offense better balance.
  23. A way better example would be Wyatt Teller who was a backup here and is now one of the highest rated guards in the NFL with the Browns.
  24. No player should show up to camp without a contract. You get injured and you are completely screwed.
  25. To any madden players out there, If you own Madden 21, just go download one of the fan-created roster updates with the new rookie class added. Save the $60 for wings
