  1. Even though he was only in Buffalo for his first 5 seasons, Jairus Byrd is #10 on the list of Bills all-time interception leaders. He had 22 with the Bills (with 9 coming in his rookie year) but would go on to have only 3 more over the rest of his career.
  2. Nope. We drafted rb's back to back in the 3rd round so we could avoid high salaries at the position. After Josh's contract, we need to scrimp at certain positions to stay under the cap. The draft capital and money we would need to make this deal happen would be completely impractical.
  3. No, but maybe he survives the first quarter this time
  4. Over the last three seasons, JJ had 10 sacks and TJ had 37. JJ was an incredible player and a perennial DPOY candidate when healthy, but the torch has been passed.
  5. We're better off trading for a top-end guard to improve the run game
  6. I don't understand why we don't give Bredia some reps on passing downs. Instead of making 3 rb's active we insist on having McKenzie and Kumerow active (Who combined had 5 snaps vs the Titans!)
  7. I think it's even more important this year with a longer season. We have an early bye week and it would give is an extra week of rest when we need it the most. One more week to heal up and one less week of injury risk. If we don't get it, I just hope we get multiple home playoff games.

  9. The hold on Poyer was a ridiculous non-call. He got bear-hugged and tackled.
  10. Skip to :40 on the video 😧 As an adult NFL player he said he likes to pursue 14-18 year old girls who "aren't too bright" because "you can trick them" Yikes😬
  11. Even if his hamstring is 90% healed, I would rather rest him at this point of the season. The bye week would give him extended healing time and he'll have a better chance of being healthy for the remainder of the season. It's already a 17 game season and for us it'll be at least 20
  12. I keep predicting narrow victories and we keep blowing teams out so I'll keep doing that so I don't jinx it. Bills 27 Titans 23
  13. 0% Jelly 0% Peanut Butter 100% Beef on weck With wings on the side If our guys ate those at break the final score would have been 78-13
  14. It was really nice of the schedule makers to give us 5 consecutive bye weeks after the Titans game
  15. I thought they did a really good job against Diggs and the other receivers for the most part. The big plays were caused mainly because their D-line applied no pressure and Allen could just wait for the coverage to break down
  16. The announcers made such a big deal about the roughing call on the hit on Allen, but they forgot that it followed a complete phantom holding call on Morse than negated a first down
  17. IMO he was the only pending free agent that we absolutely needed to re-sign. We play nickel more than any team in the league and he's gotten better every year. We'll need him to have a big game tomorrow to limit Tyreek's production from the slot.
  18. Hamstring injuries tend to take time to heal and if it was bad enough to take him out of the game, I would expect it would take at least a couple weeks to fully heal. It's a long season and hammy injuries can easily become more severe if a player is rushed back on the field. No practice for Milano today likely means he won't suit up on Sunday unless he has a miraculous recovery. I think Andre Smith and Klein will split reps with Edmunds covering Kelce for the majority of the game. We also need Taron Johnson back to have a chance at keeping the Chiefs' offense in check.
  19. He'll probably go to the Bucs or Chiefs. The Bucs may have gotten Sherman, but he wasn't great in his first game (8 targets, 8 catches allowed) and they'd rather not have to deal with his legal issues.
  20. I would attribute his comments to having to fill 30 minutes and wanting to create a hot take to stir up discussion. Herbert is a great young qb, but saying that someone is a lock for the HOF after 18 starts is not wise. Consider some of these recent young players that started on that track and had their careers derailed: Shawne Merriman (40 sacks in first 3 years) Josh Freeman (2nd season had 3400 yards, 25TD-6INT) Peyton Hillis and Vince Young (both made the cover of madden. Vince won ROY) Steve Slaton (won rookie of the year) RGIII (ROY) There are countless others, but these were the first to come to mind. Success in the NFL requires constant improvement and durability. One fluke injury can ruin a guy's whole career. I think once a guy has played at a high level over a decade we can start to have the discussion over whether he's HOF worthy.
  21. The Bills will win, but I don't think it will be the blowout that most expect. Houston won in week 1 against Jacksonville and stayed in the game against Cleveland. They couldn't get much going on offense against the Panthers, but they had a rookie qb making his first start. Mills didn't show a great command of the offense, but he didn't look rattled and got the ball out very quickly. He looked great on a hurry-up drive that resulted in a TD against Carolina and I would expect more no-huddle from him today. They have a stable of running backs at their disposal and if they can get the run game going, they can shorten the game and keep Allen off the field. Final Prediction: Bills: 23 Texans: 17 Houston will play a respectable game, but the Bills' offensive talent will be too much for them to handle
  22. True, I think there was one season Spikes and Winfield played together before he went to the Minnesota. I'm still p!$$ed off that we lost him and Pat Williams to the Vikings in consecutive off-seasons. The Bills thought their best playing days were behind them and they went on to each have 3 pro-bowl seasons in Minnesota.
  23. Back when Takeo played for us, that was a really fun defense to watch. With Takeo, Fletcher, Clements, Milloy, Pat Williams, Sam Adams, and Schobel it was pretty much the AFC Pro Bowl team
