  1. He is 340 pounds and finished only .05 seconds behind Anquan Boldin who was 215 pounds. Jordan Davis' RAS score will likely set a record.
  2. I think Garrett Wilson will be the best wr of this class. He has rare athleticism and still has room for improvement as a route runner even though he consistently gets open. He reminds me of Antonio Brown minus the headache.
  3. I think Evan Neal is the safe pick to protect Trevor Lawrence. I feel like this draft teams are going to be desperate to trade down. There's not as much top-end talent, but good depth at a lot of positions. The fact that some players aren't participating in the combine also makes it harder to assess talent. If we find a trade partner, I think that we could trade from #25 to the top of the 2nd round and still get Jameson Williams, plus a 3rd and 4th pick to give us depth at guard and cb.
  4. I remember there used to be a notion that receivers don't fully adjust to the NFL until their 3rd season. Now we consistently have rookies amongst the receiving leaders.
  5. I don't think it's a coincidence that Amari Cooper and Cole Beasley are being put on the trade block today. Those 40 times the wr prospects put up yesterday likely made the front office view Cole and Amari as expendable.
  6. After yesterday's 40 times, I fully expect him to fall to round 2. I think we take a top cb with our 1st rounder, then the best available receiver in round 2. We will likely sign a veteran receiver in free agency so Jameson wouldn't be rushed in his rehab.
  7. Nope. We have no cap room and I don't think overpaying an injury-prone rb and giving up a first rounder is smart in the long term. Draft a rb or sign a veteran much cheaper.
  8. It's not as if our defense will fall off a cliff statistically if we don't spend a first round pick or a huge contract on a defender this offseason. The guys with expiring contracts had very replaceable production. I would prefer to draft a rb high instead of using a draft pick to trade for a guy with a big contract. I like Breece Hall a lot and think he could be the element that makes our offense more balanced considering he is also a good receiver out of the backfield. I have no idea if he would be available in round 2 because his combine performance will likely impact that.
  9. I would offer a 7th for him. He has intriguing speed, but he has never been productive in a pass-happy spread offense. He only has one year left in his rookie deal, so he doesn't have much trade value.
  10. He made $10 Million last season, but maybe he's willing to take a steep pay cut (Trubisky only made $2.5 Million last year)
  11. I always thought that former NFL qbs who were limited by their physical skills made great coordinators, but it might just be that the guys who had the brains and talent to be great qb's made so much money in their playing career that they don't need to seek out an intensive career after retirement. I have no doubt that Peyton Manning would have made an excellent offensive coordinator.
  12. I feel that guys who have played on both sides of the ball in college gain a better understanding of the game. Richard Sherman (wr to cb) and JJ Watt (te to de) particularly benefitted because they have a better insight into the technique of the guy they're lined up against.
  13. Back in the "Legion of Boom" era it was clear that the leaders of the defense did not like Wilson. However, considering what has come to light over the last couple years regarding Earl Thomas and Richard Sherman, maybe Russell wasn't the problem.
  14. Over the past decade, it's become apparent that Quarterbacks have gained an enormous amount of leverage within their organizations due to the fact that there simply aren't enough good qb's to go around. The Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson contract dances every offseason have become tiring and now we have another qb joining in without even having earned that clout. I hope we realize how lucky we are to have a guy like Josh Allen who handled his contract situation with class and never threw his organization or teammates under the bus.
  15. Cheap ✓ Young ✓ Still has upside ✓ I would prefer a veteran with a better track record, but we could do much worse.
  16. The Dolphins getting any kind of franchise qb will make the division less of a cakewalk. They actually have a pretty decent roster with a lot of young talent and could become an instant contender.
  17. I assumed we would resign Harrison Phillips and sign a 2nd tier speed rusher in free agency (Derek Barnett, Justin Houston, Charles Harris, Arden Key) Add a veteran TE since rookies take so long to develop at that position (Maxx Williams or Mo Allie-Cox) Add a vet wr coming off a down year who wants to improve his stock (DJ Chark, Allen Robinson, JuJu, Michael Gallup) Add Ryan Fitzpatrick as backup qb so he can finish his career in Buffalo Even with this modest free agency, we would need to restructure a couple of our top contracts to get under the cap
  18. I used the PFF Mock Simulator with no trades: 1:25 Andrew Booth CB 2:57 Travis Jones DT 3:89 Skyy Moore WR 4:127 Dylan Parham G 5:166 Tariq Woolen CB 6:184 Hassan Haskins HB 6:202 Luke Fortner C 7:242 Matt Araiza P
  19. I would prefer to stick with the hot hand. If Ed Oliver is getting consistent pressure, then keep him in there until he gets tired. Make players earn their pass-rushing reps instead of arbitrarily splitting them.
  20. WR in the first two rounds is pretty much a foregone conclusion unless we are able to somehow sign one of the tops guys (Adams, Allen Robinson, Juju, Mike Williams) and keep their salary under the cap constraints. Out of Treylon Burks, Jameson Williams, and Jahan Dotson, at least one of these guys should be available at #25. If we end up taking a small speed receiver early, I would also like to get Justyn Ross in the 3rd to add some size to our wr group. His stock has gone down, but I think he still hasn't reached his ceiling.
  21. This is probably the most realistic mock free agency that I've seen so far. However, this would still probably require cutting Feliciano and extending or restructuring Diggs' contract. I think this would cause us to go after an outside WR, CB, and TE early in the draft.
  22. Christian Kirk wr from the Cardinals Josh is recruiting him right now
  23. Unlike the Rams, our window is a decade long. I think this team's success is sustainable and I wouldn't mortgage our future by dealing picks unless it's for a young player that we extend for a long-term deal. Von Miller played well for the Rams down the stretch, but trading a 2nd and 3rd round pick for half a season of play will hurt them in the long-term. I think we are more likely to trade away players for picks as draft day approaches (Edmunds, Morse, Beasley, Ford)
  24. I was hoping the Bills could get him, but I guess he preferred to coach on a team with an aggressive 3-4 front. What linebackers coach wouldn't want TJ Watt?
