  1. Cue the overused terms to describe every white lineman in the NFL: He's a blue collar player He brings his lunch pail to work. He's "high motor" He's a grinder. He's "sneaky athletic" After he gets out of practice he hauls bales of hay around for fun 😂
  2. I bet he goes to the Colts or Saints. Colts lost TY Hilton to injury, and the Saints won't have Michael Thomas for a while.
  3. I think they call that the Mike Pettine Triple Crown 🏆
  4. No problem. Anyone with exactly 186 posts get free wings at the Buffalo Wing Festival this weekend and also gets to wrestle competitive eater Miki Sudo in a swimming pool full of wing sauce for a chance to win $1 Million
  5. I think anyone with exactly 186 posts should get some sort of plaque or mural on the side of the stadium.
  6. I think Sweeney is the only one left on the roster. Maybe they keep just Knox and Gilliam so they can keep more depth at other positions. Maybe they already signed/traded for another TE and it just hasn't been announced yet.
  7. I'm suprised they weren't able to trade him for a late round pick. He would still be a solid backup.
  8. I thought Hollister looked good in preseason. With Gilliam moving to FB we might only keep 2 TE's.
  9. House isn't supposed to come up with the right diagnosis right away! You have an hour to fill!
  10. I thought that Rousseau was going to be a project that that his long frame would lead him to get pushed around by NFL tackles until he added more bulk. Instead he had an immediate impact in preseason and was able to overpower an OT drafted in the top 10. I also thought that Ford/Knox/Edmunds would breakout in preseason, but I didn't see too much of that. Ford was outplayed by Boettger, Knox by Hollister, and Edmunds by Andre Smith.
  11. Rousseau didn't make any big plays this game, but he got off blocks and was able to get his hands up and force the qb to throw it away a couple times.
  12. Houston is in complete tear-down mode. Losing JJ Watt and the Deshaun Watson situation made this a miserable offseason for Texans fans.
  13. That was quick. Good to have everyone back for tomorrow's game (minus McKenzie). We should put our starters out here for at least a quarter just to get them acclimated. The backups played so well that there's some pressure on them to look dominant.
  14. If Breida is active on Sundays, he could also be in the mix at returner. He hasn't done it since his rookie year, but he's fast, agile, and has good hands.
  15. Great game, but I forgot how ugly their uniforms were back then 🤮
  16. As long as the starting O-line is in there while Josh plays, I'm not nervous about him getting hurt. I guarantee they'll tell him not to run with it under any circumstances.
  17. Andre Smith looks fast and instinctive both in pass coverage and run support. Klein had his moments late last season (mostly as a blitzer) but Smith fits our defensive scheme much better.
  18. Me in 2011: Please media, acknowledge that our team exists and recognize some of our good players! Me in 2021: SHHH! Stop hyping us up! We're trying to sneak under the radar!
  19. The most impressive thing about the play where Rousseau's sack occured is that every defensive lineman won their battle: Rousseau jabbed Sewell with one arm and got him off balance and got the other hand on the qb. Harrison Phillips started with a bullrush, then a swim move to cleanly beat his man and charged directly at the qb. Ed Oliver got stonewalled initially, then stunted around the right side to get into the backfield. Epenesa didn't get to the qb, but he continuously pushed the RT backwards and drew a doubleteam from the RG. Our depth on the defensive line should allow everyone go 100% every snap, causing many more plays like this one.
  20. This time of year every coach is hyping up players they know will get cut to tempt another team to trade for them
  21. I'll admit, I actually thought he was a good prospect a few years ago (as did most people) but he has a terrible attitude and apparently no drive to improve. The "right fit" argument is now moot after the Buccaneers and 49ers dumped him.
  22. George Kittle. He's the best overall TE in the league and is equally great as a blocker and receiver. It makes the most sense to upgrade arguably our weakest position.
  23. It's strange that we've invested so much more draft capital in our d-line compared to our secondary, yet our db's have outplayed them. Tre is our only 1st rounder (and a late one at #26) Micah was another team's 5th round pick Poyer was formerly the Eagles' 7th round pick Taron was a 4th, Neal a 5th, Hamlin a 6th, Jackson a 7th Levi Wallace was undrafted Also, our top 4 DL make twice what our top 4 DB's make total. There are no more excuses for mediocrity. Our D-line held us back last year and they need to play up to their ability this year for us to win a championship.
  24. I would recommend getting a later flight even if it's not direct. Depending on where you're parked it's common to not even be able to even leave the lot for an hour. You will be less stressed out and enjoy the game more if you're not worried about rushing to the airport.
  25. Because of the cap hit, we would need to trade Addison instead of releasing him, and I don't think there will be any takers for $8 Million I think Jerry Hughes stays with us for one final season and retires a Bill. Darryl Johnson would only be kept because of his special teams prowess, but maybe Rousseau or Boogie can fill that role as a rookie. I was excited about Obada, but he's had a quiet training camp and may not be a lock to make the 53
