  1. We whiffed on every defensive FA signing and still competed for a championship. Can you imagine if we actually got someone who made an impact.
  2. I don't know about preference to those guys, but he would fill a need.
  3. Big splashy signings, by talent deprived teams day one or two have fans worried there will be limited options for us, but this is a different year. There's plenty of inventory and limited cap space. Beane will get an edge and a back guaranteed.
  4. I don't trust anyone coming from the Bengals organization. That's just me.
  5. VanNoy would be a tremendous addition. He's physical, plays great run defense and has a ton of big game experience.
  6. Probably, if Singletary doesn't get traded this offseason
  7. With zero tolerance and the fact that one more slip up and he's done in the NFL, I would take a flyer on him. He's had extensive anger management and domestic violence sensitivity therapy. The Patriots and Bucs feast on the Antonio Browns and Cooks, Dillons of the world. Try not to look to deeply into the emotional makeup of these guys. The majority are decent but every team has players with checkered pasts. Hunt has not had issues since he joined the Browns.
  8. Love Hunt for us. Explosive, tough and great for underneath short passes. Maybe he pushes underachieving Singletary.
  9. Why not accept the fact that Singletary was so inept in the playoffs, with not running aggressively, dropping swing passes which were wide open against KC, and never breaking tackles. Why did the game plan have Josh in empty formations most of the time? They knew the running game was non existent and up until KC, the pass protection was great and Josh could win games without a running game other than QB designed runs. During the season Moss and Devin did just enough.
  10. So the Bills didn't matchup well against KC. They need a realistic impact runner and an impactful edge rusher to make everyone better on the back end, and a gameplan that defends Kelce and Hill. The truth is ,30 other teams are saying the same thing about how to beat us. If you have been a fan as long as me, the outlook is kind of incredible.
  11. Try and look at the big picture instead of looking for perfection. The 1st game was played in a storm. Josh had problems with zero run game and with bad throws early to open receivers. The Bills were not prepared to stop a run game and Mahomes improvisational passing game to Hill, Kelce and Watkins. We need pressure on him like Tampa had. This should be addressed in FA and the draft. A running attack like Fournette and Jones couldn't hurt to open things up for Josh. This was a breakout year for us. Usually it takes games like the KC debacles to expose positional shortcomings. The other games the last half of the season our offense was super dominant and when you win 9 of 10, with Hail Murray being the loss, your talking about a team that's real close. Remember KC lost to Brady the last season before they got their ring.
  12. It's need vs impact day one. We need an edge rusher but at #31, perhaps a guy like Travis Etienne would be our Alvin Kamara.
  13. Forgot about that. You're absolutely right. That's our 1st pick in the draft.
  14. This was a breakthrough year for us. We beat 2 teams in the playoffs, with no dependable backs and a defense that played bend don't break. If I told you we'd be 13 and 3 and lose to Mahomes in the AFC championship game ,at the beginning of the season, you would have been giddy. A couple of positions must be addressed. I think we'll be right there for the foreseeable future.
  15. Bills are a team on the come. We have flaws, they were exposed by KC. The O-line will be better next season with a hard running back and a dependable TE. I like our offense if these 2 positions are addressed.
  16. The run blocking can't be the only problem when a guy like Singletary, who's not fast, doesn't hit holes or break tackles. When Moss played, the run attack was better, but the Bills went empty most of the time because they knew they couldn't run it. By the way, were you not entertained by Josh sitting and having a sandwich ,perusing the field and picking apart teams in the 8 games in a row they beat good D-lines.
  17. Absolutely troublesome performance by coaches and O-line. The only argument in their defense is with Singletary ,who should have been wearing a dress as timid as he was, the D-line pinned their ears and just brought pressure. A semblance of a running attack would have slowed them a little. The other argument is its one terrible game.
  18. Great signing, Mongo is the physical mentality and enforcer on the O-line. I'll bet JA loves having him back.
  19. I agree with your assessment of his value. He's a superior returner but is the difference between him and a late rd. draft choice worth the cap hit. Probably not, but McKenzie will get as much or more because he's more valuable as a receiver and jet sweeps guy.
  20. This Beane knows how to keep assets and use the cap. I'm a believer.
  21. Bottom line Smoke was a tentative shell of the player he was in 2019 regular season. I wish him well but we can do better, for the money. Sorry Smoke, we're trying to win a championship.
  22. Great signing, affordable and cap friendly. He never got paid commensurate with the top guys, hometown discount. I'm a big fan of this individual.
  23. Reiff would be the key offensive acquisition in the AFC east if we could fit him in our cap. What a mauler.
  24. Sanders would be a star with Josh. Could you imagine being a team that plays man coverage against these receivers? Sanders would give us the vertical threat Smoke was year one.
