  1. If Josh can resurrect Claypool’s career and make him a viable contributor than we might be better than the diminished receiving corps of the last few years.
  2. That’s all we need, bring in this nut bag and undo all the exhaustive background information that helped inform our draft and FA acquisitions for years. Especially after we removed the malcontent Diggs. He’s not a difference maker and the list of available receivers are pretty long and impressive.
  3. There’s a chance Hyde comes back and there will be available safeties after June. Edwards was deployed that way in KC, not necessarily unable to play another way. But Rapp played well against Pitt. In the playoffs, even put the game away with an INT.
  4. What 911 jokes were you referring to? Do you mean no SBs ? Listen, they give us a great ride every season since we got our QB. It took Peyton, Brees, Stafford , more years than Josh to get theirs. Marino, Kelly , Tarkenton and Rivers never got one. You want to kill Sean for 13 seconds, I understand, but we were decimated the last few seasons on defense and got beat by better rosters. Nothing to whine about. I still think we’re right there.
  5. After saying to myself after reading one or two of the imbecilic posts breaking down the draft and calling for Beane’s ouster, is this nonsense worth looking at as a fan? And then a post like yours comes along on a white charger from the sky. Beautifully written.
  6. Excellent points, full agreement. I personally think we’ll be acquiring a vertical threat receiver after June and we will be good to go.
  7. Be careful, posting positive reviews of management decisions gets uniformly rejected by the elite talent evaluators on this board. Drafting at 28 with no 3rd round pick should at least net you 6 starters and at least a probowl receiver. Full agreement on 3 picks (Coleman, Bishop and the center, the DT and Cornerback should be ST and possible rotational depth if they make the cut and the RB could possibly be a compliment to Cook and Johnson. All in all, Beane did well with what he had to work with. Also got some draft capital for 25.
  8. I got it, you’re just a glass half empty kind of guy. You’re perfect for the 30 year pre-Josh Bills, where you could wear a bag over your head to the games and enjoy being the national punchline of poorly run organizations. You should consider a support group.
  9. Don’t give up, they’re right there. They could’ve won last year with a few more plays and without a decimated defense. They absolutely should’ve won the 13 seconds game. It’ll happen sooner than later.
  10. Don’t you understand, Josh makes everyone better. Diggs just got broken down because targeting him overwhelmingly at the expense of winning football , didn’t work and he couldn’t promote himself anymore. You don’t have any idea how these receivers ( 2 good TEs, Shakir, who’s really good, Samuel, who’s produced with a rookie QB, and Coleman) along with a vertical threat available after the June cuts , will pan out With a run heavy offense featuring Cook, who’s a matchup nightmare out of the backfield, there’s more than enough. Give these guys the benefit of trust because they’ve won the 2nd most games in the league the last four years and 4 straight divisions.
  11. I just read your post and you intimated we got a crappy pick because the team would be missing the playoffs after winning 4 straight divisions and picking 15. Then you sarcastically suggested packaging all the picks for next season to get back in the top of the draft for a receiver.
  12. Why would you presume to know how any of these receivers after the top 3 will pan out. 3 out of 4 drafted in the 1st round never get a 2nd contract the last 10 years. At this rate? What would you have done draft expert picking 28 with no 3rd round pick? I think successful drafts have more to do with coaching and creating an offense that maximizes the talent on the roster. Coleman was the best receiver on an undefeated team scoring 11TDs and catching 50 balls in 12 games for 700 yds. 3 of those games he had a 3rd string QB who stunk.
  13. What were you expecting drafting at 28 with no 3rd round pick? Did you want them to give up their 2nd round and 4th round pick for Brian Thomas if teams were even taking calls in the 1st round for top receivers. Did you want Worthy instead of Coleman or Mitchell. I didn’t especially if I add a 3rd rounder. They addressed offensie the last 2 years even moving up for Kincaid. No one knows how receivers will fit in. 3 out 4 never make their 2 nd contract the last 10 years. The RB and Coleman will be good additions if they stress the run game like they did the last half of the season.
  14. What a surprise, an elite talent evaluator fan, dismissing Coleman, the best receiver on an undefeated team. Only 50 catches for just under 700 yds and 11 TDs in 12 games. If you watched a few of his games you’d see plenty of separation and a monster on 50/50 balls. Diggs had 27 yds, a fumble and 3 catches on 8 targets in the biggest game of the year. He was crap the last 7 games of the season. The Texans converted his deal to a one year contract, because they see him as the malcontent diva on the other side of his career. Coleman is gamer on a rookie contract. Getting Diggs out was a positive. You referenced Moss as a comp for Davis. We never used Moss correctly because Motor was Sean’s favorite. He was great with Indy and Cinci thought enough of him to let Mixon go , making him the featured back. Beane’s selections have netted us the 2nd most wins in the NFL the last 4 years. 4 division titles and arguably the best QB in football. The defense has been in the top 5 until we got decimated by injuries last season. The Chiefs could’ve been beaten last year with one or two more plays. No Milano, no White, Miller still recovering after surgery, and Diggs giving us nothing equals not beating KC. Josh still put us in position to win. We’ll be better this season.
  15. Who can disagree with that take?
  16. Don’t know the % but it’s one of the 2 lowest position groups in terms of players that stay on their original teams and the league.
  17. All the draft specialists on this board should understand 73% of the receivers drafted in the 1st round since 2014 washed out and never got a 2nd contract. No one knows who translates into a productive player. I do know Keon is a physically tough receiver that will dominate on 50/50 balls and reminds me of Keenan Allen.
  18. Who says we can’t design an offense that can use Deebo in the same way SF did? I don’t think Shakir would take away from the bubble screen and underneath pass game Deebo would be great at. We could always use a vertical receiver in the draft and there are an abundance of them. Shakir is a solid #2 and Curtis is versatile multi usage threat. Remember Deebo can also complement Cook in the run game.
  19. Don’t compare Deebo with Diggs. When Diggs that Diva ingrate had a chance to get us to the SB, finally, he short armed a perfect ball and finished a forgettable 7 game stretch of being ordinary. How many SBs did Diggs get us to? The closest we got to beating KC, Gabe Davis had a great game not Diggs. Deebo was in 2 SBs and his best is yet to come.
  20. We were out of the running for Harrison, Nabors or Odunze, picking at 28. Naturally you wouldn’t take Deebo over a 5 year rookie contract of a top ten talent but Deebo is 28 and has 4 or 5 years of top production. He amassed excellent #s with the noodle armed QB in SF. Can you imagine what he could do with Josh? Why do you think Houston converted Diggs to a one year deal.? He’s not the same guy anymore and especially without Josh. Deebo is a perfect fit for us. He’s a gamer and is coming into his prime years. Why so negative?
  21. OK, you’re entitled to your opinion about receivers in the draft being a better option. 73% of 1st round receivers don’t get a 2nd contract from their original organization over a 10 year period since 2014. Deebo in 2023 in an injury diminished season had 900 yds receiving and 7 TDs. He had just under 300 yds rushing with 5 TDs and more yds as KR. You don’t rank him as a top 10 all purpose player, that’s unfortunate. In a year where we lose our #1 receiver, Deebo would make us better than the Bills of the last 3 years. The only problem is fitting him under the cap. We’re dealing with a Josh window, we have to be bold. The receivers left on the board might be productive in their rookie year, but Deebo will be a beast and you know it.
  22. With a generational talent it’s on the OC to model an offense that features Deebo as a compliment to our double TE attack with Curtis Samuel being a slot/ boundary threat. I’m not saying we couldn’t use an additional vertical option, but with Shakir, who will be a solid #2 and Cook, who is a matchup nightmare for LBs and safeties. Can you offer a better offensive attack in the NFL spearheaded by the best double threat QB in football?
  23. Deebo’s the biggest game changing weapon in football. He makes us markedly more dangerous and is the perfect complement to our receiving corp and RBs. Question is how does Beane fit him under the cap?
  24. To me it’s a no brainer. You start out with #28 and no 3rd round pick. Your board shows the 3 guys projected to be available at receiver are still available. You get offers to trade down a few spots for a 3rd and a 5th and still can get a quality receiver ( Mitchell, McConkey or Franklin) plus enough draft capital to trade for Ayuk. What’s the problem with that reasoning?
