  1. We need a db to backup Elam because he hasn’t proved anything going into year 3. A safety for sure and a dynamic KR. Since Hines we haven’t a real flip the field threat. Perhaps the 2nd receiver we draft can provide that. An young edge rusher who could drop back in coverage would be a luxury that would pay dividends.
  2. They will miss Diggs until the Diggs replacement gets a solid chemistry with Josh. Then the #1 receiver position will be better with a vertical component. The Samuel replacement value for Davis will be a net positive immediately with a gadget and screen option and more speed and elusiveness.I feel the O -line will be better with youth and size improvement at center and Edwards being a wash with McGovern at guard. Harty, Siran Neal were good ST players but easily replaced. Murray’s carries will go to Ty Johnson. The safeties will be missed for the leadership if nothing else. The loss of Dodson and Jackson should have minimal effect with Milano and Edwards on the field. Settle, Lawson, Phillips were journeyman at best, no big deal with the addition of Johnson and a drafted DT. All things considered, by mid season we should be better than last year.
  3. Beane will trade up for a Wideout because the trade of Diggs netted us a fat zero for the 2024 season and a huge hole in the receiving corp.. I refuse to believe that he couldn’t have gotten a better offer after the draft or after June cuts. Why couldn’t we have demanded a starter from a team that was willing to pay 20million for a top ten receiver. We’ll see how our roster gets constructed going forward but you can bet Beane needs a top tier receiver in the draft.
  4. Don’t be surprised to see the O-line be better with Torrence, Brown in their 2nd season together and McGovern and Edwards being better than Morse/ McGovern combo. I believe Cook and Johnson will have great numbers rushing the ball and Samuel being the best gadget and dump off player we’ve had. With one or two impactful receivers from the draft, our offense will be hard to deal with.
  5. We all realize how great Josh is, but until he gets to the SB critics will poke holes in his ceiling and his elite status compared to Mahomes and Burrow. He’s arguably the most exiting and visually transcendent athlete who ever played QB. His arm talent and elusive ability to avoid tacklers and aggressively advance the ball downfield with an indestructible nature is unmatched in the annals of NFL history. He makes Bills football a must see sports watch. He’s converted marginal fans to die hard Bills fans. Finally, he takes responsibility for anything negative that happens to the team. He always gives credit to teammates and coaches for winning and bleeds internally with losses. When I watch games with 3 generations of my family and friends who are so invested in Josh and this team’s fortunes, I realize how lucky we are to have lived during his career.
  6. You have to factor in the Reid/ Veach superiority over Sean/Beane which has given both roster and game day decision making advantages to Mahomes. Mahomes has a slight talent edge through the first 5 years of their respective careers but Josh could have had one in the 13 seconds year if Sean didn’t undermine him. It’s very difficult to judge.
  7. Sorry, no excuses for the soul crushing, mindless coaching that set the stage for the poor tackling and coverage we had all game to give KC life in OT. You Kick the ball inbounds taking 5 seconds off the clock. You can’t allow Hill or Kelce to get free releases with 13 seconds, even if you tackle them at the line or hold. I’ll trade 5 yds for 6 seconds in that scenario.Their other receivers couldn’t get them into FG position and if they did I could live with it. Sean and the DC decided, , inexplicably to protect the sidelines and leave the middle of the field open. The TOs didn’t factor in because there should have time for 2 plays and a Hail Mary. Sean knows he blew it playing soft zone and letting Hill do his thing with the toreador tackling and defender deployed on the sideline. Every time I think of it I want to throw up.
  8. He probably just falls down rather than be posterized.
  9. Look for injuries galore with this new rule. It makes you wonder the mentality of a kick returner in this new iteration of the NFL. No more fair catches, the old onside kick rules. Safety has been put on the back burner.
  10. I’m not a Sean supporter but he’s not going anywhere barring a total collapse( missing playoffs). To be totally objective, Sean saved his job with a fine performance in the last 8 games. He dumped Dorsey, installed Brady and got Cook and Kincaid involved in the offense. He acquired Douglas and got better play out of Dodson and Bernard. I think it’s realistic to expect improvement next season with more explosive skill players (Samuel, the 1st or 2nd rd.receiver and continued development of Cook and Kincaid) along with better DL play with Johnson, a full season with DQ and a contribution from Miller. I think our secondary will improve( Edward’s, a highly drafted safety and better use of Rapp) The players love the guy and play hard for him. He should be commended for being bold enough to hold Josh accountable. We need Josh to have a strong HC and not have a yes man. Now some of his game day decisions have been mind blowing but hopefully he improves.
  11. Established pass rushers are unavailable in FA to cap challenged teams but there is no reason not to expect more pressure and sacks from Miller, 2 years removed from knee surgery and Rousseau/ Epenesa could have more production. Pressure from the tackles should be as good as last year or better with Eddie, DQ and Adrian. Defense should not be a problem if we stay healthy.
  12. Bills defense will be better than last year because Milano is such a huge factor and Bernard should be better in his 2nd year starting. Hyde and Poyer were great Bills but their best years are behind them. We need youth at safety and Douglas will be better than any corner we had in 3 years and he’ll be here a full season. If Miller can give us improved play, which shouldn’t be unrealistic because he stunk last year, the DL should be better. Better pressure, better run defense with a healthy DQ, Milano and improved depth with Johnson, and a better secondary with Edward’s, Douglas and a round 1 or 2 safety or corner.
  13. Let’s go, can we sign a veteran starter to replace all the foundational pieces( Poyer,White, Hyde, Settle, Davis, Bates, Morse, etc) we lost. We need this type of a player. Sign Blackmon. We blew the Armstead signing. We need more veterans.
  14. All I keep thinking about is how the organization keeps putting this guy on a pedestal as a great leader and Josh’s brother, etc. He sees issues with cap constraints and foundational players being cut and naturally he’s looking for his off ramp. No taking a step back for Steph. I say this guy let us down against KC. He was mediocre for the last 9 games and his best years may be behind him. Use the Beliceck model of getting value for aging stars a year early rather than seeing him diminished and become a malcontent.
  15. He’s a top ten receiver and he’s only 30. Receivers are the 2nd or 3rd highest paid position players and a team with plenty of cap space would think Diggs could make their young QB into another Josh. We’d need at least a 1st and another high pick to move him.
  16. It’s two off-seasons in a row with the cryptic comments and if he plays like he did the last half of the season, low energy and low production, we lose the opportunity to turn him into a couple of good young players. I know it’s hard to picture this team without Diggs but the Patriots defined their dynasty by offloading their stars a year before they became regular players.
  17. I’ve always dismissed his comments as the mindless ramblings of a frustrated alpha looking for attention on his x account. Now, however he is giving Bills fans and management the finger with indications he’d like to be gone. His performance at the most crucial moments last season was not worthy of paying his bloated contract and keeping a malcontent. Let’s get a 1st rounder and another high draft choice for him while he’s still got top ten receiver value.
  18. We still need another receiver in the draft because besides Diggs, Samuel and Shakir are 3s and there are difference making 2s in the first 2 rounds. I know we need a secondary and a defensive tackle but with great weapons Josh will win a boatload of games just with offense.
  19. This guy was so explosive as a change of pace back last season. Good signing.
  20. Just a procession of low end special team/2nd stringers that can be shoehorned under the cap. Wake me up for the draft. By the way, other than DQ those resignings were nothing to celebrate.
  21. He knows the system and has a role. I don’t remember him being on the positive end of too many plays though. Bills fan should get ready for a procession of dumpster dive signings like this and Morris. If Beane signs a skill position low end driftwood player, that’s a problem. We need a few impact guys.
  22. DQ comes much cheaper for more production. His injury was more impactful than White’s. He made Oliver better as well as our run defense .
  23. Morse was a great teammate and a warrior who played hurt and did a fine job. Hopefully he stays healthy and finishes his career with success. Thanks for the last 4 years.
  24. The Bills are a team that have too many holes caused by going for it and missing, like the Rams 3 seasons ago. They failed miserably with the Miller signing and their suspect cap management forced Beane to offload some productive but older players. They still have Josh, Cook, Kincaid,Diggs, Milano, and Oliver but the other winning type players are more like solid role players, far from elite. Beane must find a quality secondary and 2 big time receivers and an edge rusher in FA and the draft. If Diggs is not the receiver of previous years, as opposed to the 2nd half of last season, getting past KC, Cinn, Baltimore will be improbable. Getting to the playoffs is great but Josh deserves to be surrounded by a better roster.
  25. He is a game changer and a homegrown superstar. He is in the top ten of OLB and our best defensive player. He’s got plenty of tread on the tires. Don’t try and reinvent the wheel.
