I guess we have some Sammy truthers here. What’s next bringing up his value as a decoy? Some things never change. I was responding to the ridiculous comments where someone put Sammy in the same category as Kelcie and Hill Then you said he “went off” in a postseason game. I have the stats to show the the didn’t. He took advantage as a deep threat playing as the 3rd (or sometimes 4th) option in an offense with Hill and Kelcie. Sammy at best is a #2. He was supposed to be Tyreek Hill. Not the guy who benefits from Hill’s attention

I thought that finding Tua a good OC was going to be imperative this season. The co-OC’s seems pretty stupid

When he’s healthy he’s a good 3rd option on a team with Travis Kelcie and Tyreek Hill. Sammy never “went off” in a playoff game. He did put up WR2 stats. 2 catches for 76 yards against Houston 7 catches for 114 yards and a TD in the AFC Championship game. 5 catches for 98 yards in the Super Bowl. Putting him on the same level as Kelcie or Hill is straight up goofy.

You can say the same thing about just about anyone on their roster. At this point in his career, he’s hardly a player teams need to game plan for. Let Sammy Watkins beat a team, go ahead

I still don’t like the Loser Bowl idea. After teams lose, any game after would seem like a moot point. “The Super Bowl is next week - oh, and by the way you can see last week’s losers compete for 3rd place!” The incentives make sense on paper but is a salary bonus enough to make fans want to watch? Probably not. Also the draft pick isn’t very incentivizing to players who likely won’t be there next year. I just think it’s pointless to play a 3rd place game. This isn’t the Olympics. Every team play to be the champion, one that’s over...it’s over. This is probably why none of the major sports in the US have entertained the idea - its anti-climactic and really just not good.

Whats the point? Yeah the Pro Bowl sucks but I have no interested in seeing the teams that didn’t qualify for the Super Bowl playing in the Toilet Bowl

The Bills have a smart front office and they knew that contract would likely be an issue before they traded. They also know that Diggs needs clear communication which he didn’t have in Minnesota. When they renegotiated his deal, I would be shocked if Beane didn’t discuss their plan on regards to an extension. That’s what I think. If he puts up another 100 reception season and if the Bills are one of the best teams again, I can totally see it

It all depends on the options presented. Considering how close the team has come to the Super Bowl this season, I wouldn’t entirely rule out a big move. I also know that the Bills probably won’t have the flexibility cape wise to make big these big moves. I would guess that like last year, we’ll see a few mid-tier FA signings - just less in frequency. I’m not anticipating a trade up but can see the Bills moving back a few picks in round 1 for an additional 2nd or 3rd round pick But I also would’ve be shocked to see the Bills use pick 30 for a home run hitting offensive weapon like a Travis Etienne is he’s available...who knows?

I would definitely agree that the lack of running efficiently is due to personnel on the Offensive Line. There are few dominoes that will need to fall: 1. Do you bring back Daryl Williams. If he’s resigned, the Bills have a RT that can play in a power running scheme. If not, see #2 2. Where does Cody Ford play? My guess is guard but if Williams is gone they may try to run him at tackle as a replacement which is the wrong spot IMO. If they do keep him at guard who steps into RT? 3. What happens to Mitch Morse? 4. Is John Feliciano worth resigning?

Reading the write up, made me think of the Week 6 matchup with KC. The Bills were in Dime and dared KC to run the ball, which they did. It seems that the tables were turned this week but the difference is that the Bills couldn’t run the ball. That and the fact that the KC defensive backs were extra physical, taking advantage of lax postseason rules. If anything McDermott’s “speed and physicality” comments seem to indicate the need to add to a roster that can beat KC: OL/DL/CB/TE He has a $9 million cap hit so he likely will be gone. I hate to see this too because he had such a great year in 2019

I’ll take your word for it, but the fact that he left out “did” makes it sound very awkward. How often do you hear someone says “He’s not as a great as I” as opposed to “He’s not as great as I am.” That latter would seem to be correct. Maybe I’m just biased from his smugness in the post game interview, but hearing him say that didn’t sound correct as I was assuming it some kind of error

There’s so many tweets in that thread mocking Hopkins for finishing 8-8. As far as Hopkins himself, very talented WR, but I’m not a fan of his personality. He comes off as so smug and cocky. I noticed this during his press conference after making the catch. Funny this was his quote afterward. He said something like those “those guys made a great play but not as great as I.” Just thought this was funny because most people learn to master possessive nouns at about 10 years old In the end this play has more of a pair ice effect for the Bills that the Cardinals. Rumor was - it was Jack Easterby who wanted to get rid of Hopkins

If you can’t comprehend evaluating three years of work versus 1 defensive series I don’t know what to tell you. You seem to be hell bent against Pettine. I don’t care one way or another, I just think that overall he did a good enough job and feel that these firings were done to deflect the heat that LaFleur himself faced. According to some that defense in one series was enough to get Pettine fired. Glad most of us take a more logical approach.

Oh sorry....I didn’t realize we were talking about 1 defensive series. Not his entire 3 years in Green Bay. My bad That’s exactly what he’s doing, I think Pettine comes back if they make it to the Super Bowl. Though his defenses still get gashed on the ground

Not that it wasn’t tough, but some matchups looks a lot harder in January than they did in October - Pittsburgh, Denver, SF, NE etc. A lot of fans predicted they would win the division at 10-6 or 9-7. That’s my point, making a judgement or prediction now is pointless because will look completely different when the season starts. So why get excited about what appears be to a good schedule before we know what the teams will look like?

So In January, the upcoming year’s schedule means nothing. I remember last year fans were saying “Ugh look at Bills schedule - it’s so tough” Also games against SF, Denver, and NE on the road looked a lot harder than they did this fall.

Very tough to bet against KC but against the Bills they played at a very high level. Can they do this 2 weeks in a row and if they can’t, is TB good enough to capitalize. Who knows - This is why I hate betting!

I think the Bills want to bring him back but the problem is, unlike last year he’s going to get other offers.
