  1. It’s really hard to compare because of the era’s they played in. If Kelly played in 2021 he’d put up crazy numbers but then again, so would his contemporaries like Marino, Montana, Moon etc I will say this - if you can stomach Super Bowl there was so much pass interference and roughing the passer plays which weren’t called. At the time the non-calls were extremely questionable, today they would be egregious
  2. I love seeing these videos where players reward their parents with surprise gifts. Such cool moments
  3. That’s exactly what he’s doing. Then he’ll take his social media analytics to his bosses and saying “look at these engagement numbers - I’m on fire!” I think initially he doubted Josh Allen and once he realized he got a lot of attention he doubled down on it
  4. This was answered in the media [edit: by NFL's chief medical officer Dr. Allen Stills] the other when Bill Belichick put forth the same argument. Your chances of getting COVID are 7 times less if you are vaccinated. Also if unvaccinated, close contacts have to sit for 5 days. Vaccinated players do not. So if a player test positive for COVID on Friday, any unvaccinated close contacts are not able to play Sunday - even if they test negative There’s no doubt a competitive advantage for vaccinated players and the NFL purposely set it up that way. I can only hope more players wake up like McKenzie did and quietly get vaccinated. It would suck to have a season ended by COVID Agree 💯 Forget the politics and get vaccinated to give your team the best chance to win
  5. If he has a big year, I’m not sure the Bills can afford to sign him to a long term deal
  6. The Don Beebe game. I was there and remember how packed the stadium was. It was super loud too. If memory serves me correct Barry Foster chewed up the run defense that day but it never mattered because of how easily the Bills scored
  7. It’s remarkable how he finds a way to overcome situations including in Buffalo. He was an afterthought on a loaded DL when the team drafted Rosseau and Boogie but he earned a spot and even forced the team to trade one of their better ST players in Johnson. hard player not to pull for
  8. Obada’s career should be a movie
  9. I tend to think along these lines as well. I’m not saying it didn’t happen but it does seem like they are taking advantage of the current climate by filing this suit and holding the Bills and the NFL accountable, as opposed to Bennett himself.
  10. It’s an amazing article. You really should read it! Key Points: Obada was born in Nigeria. His mother got scammed by smuggler who snuck them into London illegally and couldn’t join them when her visa fell through. He grew up in terrible foster homes having to take care of his sister on $44 per week from social services. He eventually joined a gang to get money to survive and implied that they robbed and stole. Eventually he moved out of the city with his now wife and met someone who was involved with an American football league in the Uk. Despite never plying before he joined the team and played about 5 games before someone on the team got him a tryout with Dallas when they played in London. He was signed with Dallas and bounced around from practice squad to practice squad for a few years. Signed with Carolina largely because of the security the NFL international pathways program. He developed his skills under Eric Washington, despite the fact they were always drafting and bringing in other DE’s. After his breakout 5.5 sack season, he didn’t get the big offers he expected but did have many options for one-year deals. He chose Buffalo because of Washington and because he “knows” he’s the missing piece for them to get to a Super Bowl. The recap doesn’t do the article justice but if you like Obada, you’ll love the write up
  11. How so? As an extra blocker?
  12. It sounds like Madden really hasn’t been following the Bills much this preseason, outside of him Twitter timeline. Because if you’re going solely by the Tweets of Beasley, McKenzie, Hughes and Feliciano, it does appear that the team could be divided on the COVID issue. In actuality though, that’s not the case. By all reports and in limited snaps in the preseason, the team (especially offense) seems to be firing on all cylinders. Classic case of a blustery columnist who loves attention (good or bad) being too lazy to really research the opponent
  13. Way to embellish what most people are saying. I don’t think anyone is going to that extreme. They have questioned the move of releasing Hollister and keeping Sweeney, when Hollister’s quickness and ability to get downfield are something that the team doesn’t have at the position. The other danger is relying on Dawson Knox who looked like the same player he’s always been in the preseason. If Knox is injured or playing poorly, the team is in better shape with Hollister getting snaps than Sweeney Lawrence….and the other TE on the team: Jimmy O’Shauhnessy Chris Manhertz Luke Farrell There’s a good chance Hollister is the starting TE a few weeks into the season, if not sooner.
  14. Poorly written but you get my point
  15. He’ll probably have a fairly productive year and should move right into a starting role. IMO keeping Hollister over Sweeney is going to hurt the team. Fans will say “we should’ve kept Hollister” and they’ll be right
  16. Brown was never the same after the first few weeks of the season. I think his game has dropped a notch after his career best 2019. He’s still a good receiver but it seems that injuries have taken their toll
  17. Meh….there are some genuinely funny Twitter uses who follow the Bills. This isn’t one of them. I don’t think it’s very funny
  18. Its not that. I’m sure they would like I’d yo have him on the PS but Hollister is probably good enough where he can get signed to a a team’s 53. I’m a huge supporter of Brandon Beane but the move to keep Tommy Sweeney over Hollister is a move I don’t understand. I’m guessing they went with the better blocker in Sweeney but I do feel that Hollister’s skills gives the offense a quick threat that can get open downfield better than Knox. I would not be shocked to see Hollister making some clutch catches this reason. I think this move is a mistake
  19. There’s a lot of BS from Miami here. Over the past 24 hours I’ve read: Ross demanded the team drafted Tua and Flores and Grier didn’t want him. Now he’s demanding the team trades for Watson? Now Flores allegedly met with the locker room to stage his support of Tua? The only thing for certain is that we know Miami doesn’t have 100% confidence in Tua
  20. The timing of this locker room endorsement sure is interesting
  21. It’s so funny how many people wished Marcel well by saying “I liked you so much better than Rodak.” 🤣 To be fair, I view Rodak largely as a victim of circumstance. He was from New England, reported for the Patriots, during a time when the Bills sucked and the Patriots were winning Super Bowls. That alone got him heat from fans. Part of the problem was that Rodak wasn’t very engaging or personable with fans. He was very straightforward and serious and while he was solid, he never was spectacular with his reporting. He never really showed much personality either, which was too bad because everyone on the beat seemed to love him. Between these issues, he never really got the benefit of the doubt from fans and was absolutely harassed online. Rather than dress down fans Tim Graham style, his way of giving fans the finger back was tweeting out biting stats from teams that played the Bills - especially Patriot stats. It was actually pretty creative. Of course, this led to a pretty viscous cycle that he never could overcome - evidenced by the tweet to Marcel reminding us how badly Rodak sucked. Overall, he did handle the negativity well and it didn’t seem to bother him too much.
  22. If this was total BS then why wouldn’t Flores straight up deny it and send a message that the team is 100% behind Tua? My belief is that a number of teams checked on Watson again knowing the deadline that was approaching. They thought they could either trade for Watson at a reduced price or make a trade with contingencies based on pending legal issues. Houston rebuffed both. Charles Robinson, who was the first to report the Watson-Miami rumors, challenged anyone from the Miami org to dispute his report…They haven’t. There’s little doubt in my mind that Miami was open to a trade for the right price
  23. Not at all and it has more to do with logistics than the usual cold-weather weather excuse (though that probably does effect things too) The biggest issue is that the Orchard Park/Buffalo area probably couldn’t handle the amount of Super Bowl visitors. Even, if they could the accommodations wouldn’t be very good. Buffalo is not meant to host an event like the Super Bowl in any way
  24. I have to agree. I always hesitate to be overly positive about the Bills, because in the past the franchise has let us down, but I think Allen still has not reached his ceiling. The most positive things I’ve read from multiple beat reporters is that Allen has looked just as good against the Bills first defense as he did against Green Bay. So it’s not like he just beat up on a team of backups. I think a big part of his game is “taking what’s given” with Beasley, Sanders, and the running backs.
  25. Oddly enough, Tim Graham said something like “good luck in Winnipeg.” I doubt that Marcel is covering NHL since he has zero experience. Maybe the CFL?
