Kelce most times is not the first option, he seems to float-delay-read-react to find the open space in the zone cleared by the other route runners with more speed..how do you defend.. key plays during the 13 seconds fiasco were exactly done this way...and we keep seeing due to Mcd; achiiles heel of dont get beat with the quick-deep strike where safeties play in the next area code

yeah so its a free app with any modern internet TV under Pluto...on Sundays-gamedays its a poor mans redzone as they cover all games with highlights-scores-etc...timing-delay of these is not too shaby either

Mt Rushmore of McDermott Victories
First Round Bust replied to uticaclub's topic in The Stadium Wall
guaran-freaking-teed: 1. conservative McD + conservtive Pegula = 1 more year of mutual admiration 2. justifiication - McD gets the benefit of the doubt based on legacy culture change of being a "winner" plus major injuries to the D...makes usual 1-2 sacrificial staff changes..invites Frazier back as consultant... 3. fanbase has pretty much fired McD - had 1 foot in the grave after the epic fail of 13 seconds - will be interesting to see if Diggs goes off during end-of-season review-interview and issues ultimatum...keep him or me..but not both. -
John Warrow gets "corrected" by McDermott
First Round Bust replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
same with me...born and raised in the 716...moved away decades ago...but Buffalo is always home...its where our heart and soul grew to love sports..not just any sports...Bills football and Sabres hockey...its a Buffalo thing until the very end... -

If There's No 12th Defender, is Dorsey Still Employed??
First Round Bust replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall
a very good question, I dont think the OC gets canned after a win, but the guy was a dead man walking so it was just a matter of time... Its fair to say that coach McD has lost the fanabase as he already had one foot in the grave after the epic 13 seconds fiasco...but the bigger issue is...has he lost the locker-room... as well...come end of season I dont want Diggs saying...him or me. -
life lesson..if you cant love someone or something at their worst, you dont deserve them or it at their best... I love my team and always will despite moving away from WNY decades ago...yeah this sucks and they just make it hard sometimes..besides who else ya gonna root for....no matter...it wont be the same

well hell yeah were chasing Miami and Jaz and Balt is improved and our safeties are older-slower and as far as corners go..the best is seriously hurt - again - a 6th rounder beats out a first rounder and the rest are backups one of which had to start, one is 35 and out of football for over a year...and oh yeah Dean Marlowe is not available
-
pocket-passer Josh versus X-factor Josh, both have their pros and cons...but face it...a healthy, upright Josh is what we need now and long-term...sure he can get hurt in the pocket, but we got zero chance to win a game, make the playoffs without him, so being careful is OK...provided: some offensive ideas - Gabe Davis says we need to simplify - so run a hurry-up offense for a few series to catch the d off-balance, get Harty and speed more involved - on some jet sweeps or tunnel screens or quck slants to him or anyone for crying out loud, Daboll would run a trick play once a game such as half-back option pass, tackle eligible catches a pass in red zone that sort of thing. Every season is different - The O is going to have to score more points to win games given the missing valuable D players...and the AFC East now has some good defenses esp Jets and Pats who we play twice.

Big Baller Bass - AFC Special Teams Player of the Month
First Round Bust replied to The Wiz's topic in The Stadium Wall
smaller baller bass kicking ass -
very good, very funny, makes me wonder if they rely on writers or is this all within the retired qb room or not ? OT: Man does Reese works for me on so many levels starting with looks, personality, humor

this about as much insight as we can expect from an interview, proof is that there is a Bills rep putting the kibosh on the Shorter response as Josh was about to go deep...I also sense a seismic change in Josh, given his jettison of long-time smokeshow party/galpal Brittany W in favor of the more cereral/subdued Hailee and the fasting more pooping lifestyle changes he has made..if anyone has Brittany contact info pls pass along as I got Eagles tix at MSG next week and have an extra.

Meanwhile in Foxboro, "In the End There Can Be Only One"
First Round Bust replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
not a best practice esp of a Hall of Fame coach, interesting to see who his backup (imrprovement ?) turns out to be.. as far as the Bills. go with a vet a qb2 for sure, with Barkley on IR you have another vet in the qb room to help but for active qb3 ? young athletic project that we could hang onto for a few years would likely be good...for the scout teams in practice, saves us a mid-late round pick every-other year, and at some point becomes qb2 ? Note: less than half of the NFL has a qb3 on roster as of today. -
make it happen Beane..two major reasons: 1. better backup qb depth for sure - Kyle Allen is too erratic...Barkley is good in the room but poor in the field 2. need to protect and gain that holy grail of third or fourth rounder to draft tne next dwarf linebacker with chronic injury history or an athletic OL that cannot perform the basics of the position.
-
I like the guy...followed him on Twitter as he was: JakeFrommStateFarm...hot mom always helps the cause... But it was garbage time, 3rd stringers versus 3rd stringers...if you want stir the bottom of the roster and have a younger version of Matt Barkley have at it...

Bills activate Matakevich from PUP

Shell (OT) retirement - removed from active roster -
Wall of Fame - Yes Buffalo Sport Hall and likley "AFL" Hall of Fame - Yes NFL Hall - a stretch at best, most voters just don't know - all-time Bills pick leader with 40, punt returner as well, plus 2 AFL rings, just not enuff apparently, there was a push for AFL guys for the hall but that is over, so not likely... highlights: In 1964 Butch was selected in the AFL college draft by the Buffalo Bills and he made an immediate impact on the defensive side of the ball as a cornerback. Early in his rookie season, he ran back his first professional interception 72 yards for a touchdown; that wouldn’t be the last as he would later become the Bills’ all-time leader in interceptions with 40, returning five for touchdowns; he was seemingly always in the right place at the right time. Butch was a valuable member of the two AFL championship Buffalo Bills teams of 1964 and 1965 and was selected to five All-AFL teams. Butch was also an exceptional punt returner, and continues to rank among the Bills all-time leaders. In the 1966 AFL Championship Game, he returned a punt 74 yards for a touchdown and established championship game records for punt returns and punt return yards. Moreover, he played in every game as a member of the Bills during his tenure in Buffalo, starting 101 consecutive games.

true dat, the Pegulas are not exactly known for their communication and public relations skills anow re they ? The old man learned a lesson when he babbled-on like a child on Christmas morning upon buying Sabres...existnce is to win a cup, will drill another well if I need to... As well there is constant turnover exec postions within the Pegula kingdom, esp at PSE...seems it takes a Pittsburg or Penn State connection to get in the door and longetivity is for family employees only...
-
my take he was in charge of the new stadium "special" project and all the details meetings, politics, etc which came to succesful conclusion so the contract likely ended July or so...Seems Pegula is doing the same for Bills as he does for Sabres..flattens his org with no management layers at the VP/prez level in which he finds no value and saves exec level big salary...

Once upon a time in land far, far away...in a place that I cannot quite recall today I remember a fair-haired lad named Cole Beasley, whose productiion was anything but measley. In his prime he caught plenty of passes, and the occassional TD...while avoiding controversy and most of all..VD. But as he got older and slower, his contract the team did not renew, now he's binge-watching Fox News, as he has nothing better to do.

Eat Crow: Your most embarrassing Bills opinions
First Round Bust replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
was disappointed when I heard we drafted Josh Allen as all the analysis and pre-draft pundits had him as erratic, not proven against top competition, etc Same feeling towards last years 3rd round pick (Bernard) and signing Ed Jordan to the big contract despite mediocre stats In McBeane we trust beotches... I did hit a homer when Stevie (WR) was not franchised cuz I said he would have dropped the tag, which got a reply from his agent on twitter...
