  1. Not denying he hasn’t played well, he definitely has, but it does also come back to the big discussion in this thread-would he be playing so well without a great defensive line in front of him?
  2. I always find it hilarious how upset people get on here when these guys have some fun celebrating a touchdown or a first down, telling them to grow up and act like they’ve been there and then will get mad when these guys hold out for more money when they “play a game for a living”
  3. Say what you want about Edmunds, Oliver, Murphy.....Taron Johnson has been the absolute WORST player on the defense this year, and for me it's not even close. I don't have the stomach to look what what the stats are against him, but I can tell you it's not good. He has been getting abused every single week. I can see the Chiefs exploiting that matchup of whoever he is guarding all game long
  4. Shhhhhhhhhh don’t say things like that, that goes against the whole conspiracy theory of the NFL being out to get the Bills!!
  5. Unpopular take-I understand the sentiment behind the post, but I also think that people think of old school football with rose colored glasses on. When you watch highlights from old games, just look at all of the blatantly obvious late or dirty hits, poor quality play, and generally “football” that wasn’t really football. The game is still football, it’s not “unrecognizable” but the reality is these guys are a lot more athletic than most of the players from the old school time. Yes I do think that quarterbacks are catered to too much, yes I there are things that have been changed that I don’t think needed to be changed, but I think in general the people clamoring for old school football are a little to “get off my lawn” for me It’s the same argument about how amazing Michael Jordan was and how he would never do the things the Lebron does. Now this is coming from a guy who idolized MJ, but he was not a good guy. Great player, not a great guy. Michael needed great players with him just like Lebron does.
  6. Oh I’m definitely with you on that, just seems like at times (not by you) there is too much focus on those 2 in particular and ignoring others
  7. Not mentioned but I think should be-our main guys on defense are getting dumped on a lot, but the role players need to start playing better. I have very little confidence when a ball is thrown towards Taron Johnson, Levi, or Marlowe. The defensive line has not looked good at all this season (minus the 4th quarter). So while Edmunds and Oliver must start making more plays, a lot of the other guys are not playing well either
  8. So for as good as Kyler Murray supposedly is, he has had a handful of games where he barely throws for 100 yards, including today...not saying he doesn't have talent but there is a lot of love given to that guy nationally considering he has had some really terrible games last year and the start of this year.
  9. Come on man, seriously? Edmunds was a pro bowler last year! Sure Dodson look decent at best against Miami, but that was Miami not the Rams. I’m not saying that Edmunds had a great game, definitely didn’t but the defense is not better with him on the sidelines. Tre has been beat for a couple of touchdowns this year, should he sit out plays too?
  10. So i just heard them say on the radio that Josh should be expecting a letter pretty soon from the league with a hefty fine in there-for both the unsportsmanlike penalty (which i agree with) and for the face mask penalty....do they really hand out fines for face mask penalties?? I can understand if it’s an egregious face mask, but I can’t believe that he would get fined for the one he had the other day!
  11. The end of an era is wayyyyyy too much hyperbole for me. He might not have the season he had last year, but he’s still really good. Yes teams might be figuring him out a little bit, but he has too much talent to not have a couple of huge games every year. He definitely has his flaws-he doesn’t throw well outside to receivers, he’s probably going to need a good/great running game and tight ends to help him out, but just as Josh Allen has his narrative that he is breaking, I think Lamar is still fighting off the narrative he received at the beginning of his career
  12. That was definitely a terrible call, but I think they evened it out a little bit with that PI call. Yes I guess it was PI, but people would be all over this board complaining about that call if the roles were reversed
  13. Run game absolutely yes, gotta disagree on the pass game. He wasn’t the one giving up all of the catches to the WRs. Tre had an off game and Wallace continues to play bad. They abused Taron Johnson badly too
  14. It’s always amazing how quickly the narrative changes too. When he was drafted it was widely said that he needed a couple of years to be ready. He was made the starter sooner than anyone anticipated, struggled some but also showed that arm talent. After that rookie year people instantly forgot that he still wasn’t ready so when he struggled last year the narrative became he will always struggle because that was the hot take. It’s now funny to listen to a lot of these guys on tv and radio coming out and saying “I told you he has talent” when for 2 years they have been crushing him. The same 2 years that everyone at the beginning said he needed to get up to speed.
  15. It's an insane amount of wishful thinking if you think he will sign for less than 30+ million a year because "he loves buffalo" or "loves the process" or anything like that. That's the going rate for a franchise quarterback. Beane knows this and that's what he is planning for. Stop thinking he will sign for less - he won't, and let's be honest, he shouldn't if he's considered a franchise quarterback. His agent won't let him sign for less and his teammates won't let him sign for less either. Everyone in football knows it's a business, they all want the top guys to get paid. If they are sold on him and think he's the franchise guy, the sooner they can sign him to an extension, the better
  16. Uh oh, should we be worried about Tre? Gives up a touchdown last week, got burned by Diggs there, just got paid so now he's gonna dog it.....time for a trade?!?!? *Before you kill me, please realize this was said with large amounts of sarcasm - that's a great throw and catch
  17. Totally different situation because.....well you see with him......you don't understand the bust rate of a guy like AJ......If you're not getting it by the 2nd game.... Also to pick on another rookie, Davis only scored 1 touchdown which is as many as the undrafted fullback/tight end scored
  18. If someone says it's not an issue or it's premature to say it's an issue, they are putting blinders on. It's certainly an issue - that being said, the Bills finally have an offense capable enough of fixing that issue
  19. It was a great, clean block-there has to be awareness by the defense too. He didn’t launch at him, he didn’t hit him in the head/neck, it was simply a bad call. The dolphins CB had pretty much literally no awareness on that play
  20. I’m more surprised when Josh actually gets sacked at this point!
  21. It’s deals like this that makes me continue to question why people think the Bills can’t afford their players. The rams are laying Goff, Donald, Ramsey, Woods, Kupp all too money plus they have Gurley’s dead cap hit on top of that. People need to stop saying the Bills can’t afford all of their players. I will say it again, if the Bills want to keep a player, there is no issue whatsoever with them keeping that player
  22. If this comes of as condescending it's not meant to, but the Bills will have no problem signing these guys if they choose to sign them. Take a look around the league at what other teams are spending. Look how much money KC has handed out lately. New Orleans, Dallas, the Rams....they all have an incredibly high number of large contracts and they don't have issues. They even said this weekend that if Brees had retired New Orleans would've gone after Brady! If the Bills want to keep these guys, they will be able to keep them.
  23. I think the fact that it was a conditional 7th round pick the Panthers were very aware of what could happen. We don’t know the full working of the trade so there could be things in there, but making the trade with less than a week before cuts leads me to believe they knew there was a high likelihood they were giving him to the Bills for nothing
  24. Yikes-you say something like that and accuse the other side of being brainwashed?
