  1. I think we have to remember that we still only see highlights of Seattle games unless they are on SNF or MNF. There is also a tendency around here to only focus on the negatives that the Bills have. Seattle gives up a lot of points and a lot of yards. This is not to say that they don’t have a great offense or that the Bills shouldn’t be concerned, but I do think we have an offense that can hang with them and I do think this game will be closer than people think
  2. Yes, don’t score less than the other team, and preferably not the same amount either
  3. I might just be splitting hairs here but I don’t think this is true. As soon as I read this statement I immediately thought of Vick and Randall Cunningham. Both are incredibly athletic and both had MUCH better arms than Lamar has. It could just be a matter of preference, but I wouldn’t say Lamar is the most athletic ever. He IS incredibly athletic though, there’s no denying that
  4. At this point they have to be at the very least discussing him-they made decide he’s not a fit, it they know what state their defense is in and they have to look for improvements
  5. I think people need to stop thinking this way. Yes Brady took less money to help out the team, but he also could because he has a wife who makes 2-3 times what he does per year. The players union did not like that Brady would always take less money, and they shouldn't. As fans yes we want to see all of these guys take less money so there is more money to spread around, but these guys shouldn't be looking to take less money. It's the GM's job to make these contracts work, not the players. Brady is the one outlier in this whole scenario - Manning (both of them), Brees, Rodgers, Mahomes, Watson, Wilson, Big Ben.....they all got as much as they could and honestly Josh shouldn't be any different. The players don't even like it when their teammates take less money, they want their guys to get paid. If the QB takes less money, then management could go to everyone else and say "well Josh took less money to stay here, so should you." So while it's a nice thought, it's not going to happen nor should it.
  6. Is anyone else already dreading when Seattle decides to line up Metcalf in the slot so Taron Johnson has to cover him??
  7. Does he get a chance to develop or no? Especially considering he lost his running back, had a terrible line, and has below average receivers at best. Not saying he’s great, but why do we go to bust status so quick on guys? Peyton Manning wasn’t amazing a year and a half I to his career so was he a bust too?
  8. Doesn’t fit the narrative if you give the guy credit when he does well ex: yeah he made all his kicks, but none of them were from 40+ yards
  9. Taron Johnson for me. I'm not sure there's been an incomplete pass when it has been thrown in his direction. I have absolutely no confidence in his ability to cover any receiver
  10. You're right, the Rams are just terrible, the Dolphins having a winning record is a complete fluke, and it's not like the Raiders beat the Chiefs this year....good take on the only have beaten terrible teams
  11. Dude just stop...he hasn’t even thrown for 100 yards today
  12. Again, I need to ask-how do people come to this conclusion?!?! Before the season started, Beane was a genius, was a master with the cap, makes good personnel moves...now, at worst the Bills will be 5-3 (likely 6-2), will be in first place in the division, and people want him fired? Not that he can’t be criticized, but you want to get rid of him? Yikes, just yikes
  13. Oh there can certainly be criticism, just don’t know how we went from “Beane is a salary cap genius” to “Beane needs to be fired” so quickly by so many people
  14. It was fine to talk about Beane and McDermott positively around here until they started this year 5-2...now it’s apparently time to fire them 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
  15. So is it just Allen who is 0-2 in big games, or the whole team? I agree he didn’t have a great game against KC, but in the other 6 games this year he has played “alright” or better. Remember it wasn’t Allen who let KC run for 240+ or allowed the Titans to break containment seemingly at will. Yes he needs to play well tomorrow but more importantly the defense had to play well tomorrow. I’m much more concerned about them than I am about how well Josh will play
  16. I like the fix-it’s pretty crazy how the narrative of Josh needing to show up has changed so quickly. His bad games this year (Tennessee and KC) would have been considered fine last year. To me this game is more about the other guys on the field-offense, defense (especially the defense), and special teams. I’m actually not too concerned about Josh, I think he will be fine
  17. There’s zero doubt in your mind that the Pats win this week?? So you are fully confident that the Pats offense, which has ZERO playmakers, will score more points than the Bills offense. Did you watch their game Sunday or the highlights of their game the week before? It’s fine to have some doubt that the Bills will win, but to 100% proclaim they will win is just ridiculous. Belichek is in his head-just a weak response. Allen has clearly improved since last year, when he went into Foxboro and almost beat the Pats absolutely zero doubt...yikes
  18. So we should enjoy it, but in the most pessimistic way possible-enjoy the wins, but only look for flaws. The players also need to enjoy it, but also not enjoy it at all, but enjoy it enough so people know they are enjoying it, but react like they’ve “been there before”...there’s a very thin line there, but it’s attainable. confused yet? Good, so am I 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
  19. Let’s be honest, the Bills could be 6-0 out scoring teams by 20 and there would be people on here who would be convinced the Jets will win tomorrow because the Bills are playing with too much confidence
  20. How are so many people skipping over this??? The Ravens are over the cap and were able to make the trade, people need to stop saying the Bills couldn’t have made this trade. There are so many ways for teams to work around the cap to make something like this work. Also, how did the narrative change so fast in so many peoples eyes-somehow Beane went from being amazing with the cap and the draft to Beane needs to be fired! I think i got whiplash from watching so many people flip to that!
  21. Not denying he hasn’t played well, he definitely has, but it does also come back to the big discussion in this thread-would he be playing so well without a great defensive line in front of him?
  22. I always find it hilarious how upset people get on here when these guys have some fun celebrating a touchdown or a first down, telling them to grow up and act like they’ve been there and then will get mad when these guys hold out for more money when they “play a game for a living”
  23. Say what you want about Edmunds, Oliver, Murphy.....Taron Johnson has been the absolute WORST player on the defense this year, and for me it's not even close. I don't have the stomach to look what what the stats are against him, but I can tell you it's not good. He has been getting abused every single week. I can see the Chiefs exploiting that matchup of whoever he is guarding all game long
  24. Shhhhhhhhhh don’t say things like that, that goes against the whole conspiracy theory of the NFL being out to get the Bills!!
  25. Unpopular take-I understand the sentiment behind the post, but I also think that people think of old school football with rose colored glasses on. When you watch highlights from old games, just look at all of the blatantly obvious late or dirty hits, poor quality play, and generally “football” that wasn’t really football. The game is still football, it’s not “unrecognizable” but the reality is these guys are a lot more athletic than most of the players from the old school time. Yes I do think that quarterbacks are catered to too much, yes I there are things that have been changed that I don’t think needed to be changed, but I think in general the people clamoring for old school football are a little to “get off my lawn” for me It’s the same argument about how amazing Michael Jordan was and how he would never do the things the Lebron does. Now this is coming from a guy who idolized MJ, but he was not a good guy. Great player, not a great guy. Michael needed great players with him just like Lebron does.
