NFL Cap Going to 208 Million

Sign Quenton Nelson to the largest guard contract in history fully guaranteed and Force the Colts to match it -
I like Collinsworth. He is second best to Romo. I'm not even sure why this board doesn't like him. He talks about the city and the fans with great reverence. He is a good analyst. I think why fans don't like him is that he doesn't prop up bad teams with BS. He praises the winners and the good teams more than the losers. When the Bills were losers there wasn't much good to say about the team. Now that they win he comments on their good play just as much s anyone. He also does a good job calling out the OL and DL play. Buck is terrible calling NFL. I think he is excellent at baseball. Aikman is hit and miss. He makes some good points and then there are times he can't even form a sentence. Very painful to listen to the two of them. They are the worst of the network lead teams. Al Michaels is a bit full of himself at times. But he has the track record to back it up. He gets a bit verbose at times but it's tolerable.

All-22 Grades for Bills/Saints (The Athletic)
Ethan in Cleveland replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
As a well documented Edmunds skeptic, I still did not see A- play from him but I also did not see any major negative plays. He looked solid. New England's o-line and run game will be a better gauge of his play. If he continues to get better they can have a solid MLB for another 7 years and he will just turn 30 at that point. He will be expensive but will be an anchor (in a good sense) for years to come. I was in favor of picking up his extension for just this reason. Let him prove it on the field before they invest huge money. Love Knox, but agree his blocking is still not good. -

My gut tells me this is all still COVID deconditioning and the short week really impacted him. I expect him to look better coming off this mini-bye. -
At this point we should just shut down the board until Monday night. Every person can post a valid point to support their hypothesis. It will all come to a head on Monday night. Win and they control their destiny to probably at worst the #2 seed. Lose and there is a good chance they don't make the playoffs.

What is your Buffalo Bills relationship status?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to cwater10's topic in The Stadium Wall
Im both a long term lover obviosuly but also a One before we all die. I was born in 1970 so I can't live off of AFL championships, I was in my two's during the peak SB years, and now I'm 50 with less time on the planet than I have already spent. My lens is win now at all costs. That is why I can't stand Beane's approach of not aggressively adding talent earlier this year. -
Christian McCaffrey out for the season

How much do you think these chronically inured players are PED related? I'm just thinking guys use PED to add size and increase speed on a frame that was never suited to handle the load. Maybe it's just repeated bad luck and nothing more. -
Just cut Doyle now. He looks so unathletic. I get he was a 5th round pick and at that point you are probably taking flyers on people, but they should have drafted an interior lineman on either side of the ball instead of an unathletic swing OT. Williams moves inside with a healthy Brown and Bates is swing OT.

Both! I have seen all his screen performances. I tried to see his one man A Christmas Carol play but never was able to make it. But I saw him in NYC in Waiting for Godot with Ian McKellen

This is an awesome thread! Last time I cried is when Tim Russert died. The next time I will cry will be either when the Bills win the SuperBOwl or Patrick Stewart dies, whichever comes first.

Bills have the highest pressure/hurry rate in the NFL??
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’d also like to see these stats broken down by when they occur in the game. The Bills have had many blowout wins when they could rush the passer with no threat of the run. Are we getting the same win rate in the first quarter as we are the fourth quarter? We all saw what Indianapolis did to this defense. The truth shall be revealed in the next two games. -

Cmon. You don’t think that has anything to do with the QBs they have faced? -
Bill B's defensive game plan vs the Bills
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
Take Gilliam off the field. He's the worst player on the team and useless on offense. Line up two WR - Davis and Diggs predominantly and two TE Knox and either Bates or Sweeney and a single back. This should be their base formation. From this they can run, screen, or throw downfield. They should do a lot of pre-snap motion with the TE's to switch from an even formation to a heavy formation to one side. They can keep extra blockers in if they choose. They can run Allen on sweeps. Knox can split out wide any time he wants and draw LB coverage or a smaller CB defender. Doesn't matter what BB throws at them - from this formation JA can audible to whatever play he wants. -

Your schoolmate has the same chance of helping this team win as this guy -

I was a proponent of keeping him on a reduced salary. Props to McD and Beane for seeing something I did not, and bringing in Sanders who still seems to have the talent and appears to be a solid locker room guy. -

Agree. Thanks for the memories. If Zimmer didn't get hurt he many not have dressed the rest of the year. They need to draft a true NT body in first three rounds next year -
Starting December neck and neck with NE

Bills have the better QB. Pats have the better coach. We will learn a lot about this team and probably this entire organization on Monday. People think I'm ridiculous with my McDermott takes but McDermott needs to prove he can win these type of games. I was impressed and gave him his props for the Baltimore playoff win. That was his zone defense dropping 7 and rushing 4 that produced the second biggest play in franchise history. Hope he and Allen rise up to the challenge. What else do we want but our franchise QB in big games? -
Bills vs Pats: “pound for pound” teams analysis
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Great analysis and I don't disagree with the comments.. Except the game comes down to only two people. Allen and McDermott. The rest is just window dressing. The NFL ceased being a team game long ago. Its a QB, a HC, and 52 support people. Believe in Allen! He's our only hope!!!
