  1. Good point. I think the players know they can only go so far with Fitz and it is a rebuild with lots of young talent. They want to get better together. I suspect they know that their best chance to win the division is next year when they add more talent with all their draft picks and Tua with 10 games of experience instead of none. Now that is not how KC handled it so maybe it will be the wrong decision. But I don't fault them for preparing for 2021. It will be Bills-Dolphins rivalry for the next few years.
  2. Its still early to give up on H. Phillips. He is on a rookie deal and at a minimum should be in the DT rotation. He is only now a year out from ACL. I just don't know if McD has it in him to move Edmunds outside.
  3. This duo has been terrible for years. I can't stand Joe Buck. He is second worst only to Mike Turico in big game announcers. Aikman offers only the most basic of analysis. I have no real issue what they said about the Bills tonight though. It was accurate. Both of them ham it up for whoever is winning at the moment. If Buffalo played a more competitive game and was leading they would have been more effusive with their praise. They are fair weather announcers just going with the hot/winning team.
  4. Even in the last few games Dareus was with the Bills he saw double teams almost half the time. He no longer rushed the passer but he held the point of attack. I didn't follow him in Jax closely but in looking up some things real quick he had elbow and core abdominal muscle injury/surgery. None of us know if he is in shape. But he is one of the few guys that has the natural size to play the NT or 1 technique DT spot. It takes nothing but swallowing pride to call and check to see if he is in shape and wants to play.
  5. It's not a right of first refusal or matching offer issue. If the Bills sign him to the 53 the Seahawks can't do anything.
  6. White, Hyde, Poyer, and Milano. Where else is the talent on D? Hughes got old fast. Edmunds is a bust or he is really more hurt than we know. Oliver is not a bust yet but he is not getting better. But you are spot on that they lack physicality and size too. I don't care what the roster lists for height/weight, they just look smaller than comparable defenses in the league.
  7. Hope it happens and the NFL responds by getting rid of the divisions. It is an anachronism that should needs to die. Stop playing teams tice in the same year. 16 games with no repeats in the same year means every two years you play the entire NFL and every 4 you can be in all the away stadiums. Add one "rivalry" game that is played every year and that rounds out the 31 teams played over two seasons. You can even rotate the rivalries. For instance for two years the Bears and Lions can play in back to back years and then in year two and three of the cycle the Bears and Packers could play in both years. Then top just pick the top 6 teams from each conference
  8. Turnovers is the differential that matters. They are -2 and 21st in the league. Only the Raiders at -4 are worse and still have a winning record. Only 2 INT all year which is tied for 3rd worst in the league. No pass rush. No INTs. No short fields. No points from the defense in now 22 games (maybe more).
  9. There is no analysis needed here. The Bills were physically beaten. There is no scheme issue here. It is a talent issue.
  10. You could have said you didn't watch the game. Defense choked a 16 point lead away with just over a quarter and a half to play. Offense scored a FG to force OT and defense choked in OT.
  11. Did you watch the Houston game? Defense ranking last year was an illusion. They played terrible QBs most games and outside of Dak they lost to every decent QB.
  12. Cmon man. The Bills were physically destroyed the last two weeks. Outside of the Jets and the worst offense in modern history this defense has been terrible.
  13. Exactly. Take Green Bay game down by 28. Put Love in and run your regular offense. Down 9 it would take a miracle.
  14. Two toughest? Seattle and Pittsburgh are still to be played. Two games against Belichick and another against an improving and better coached Dolphins team.
  15. Down by 9 who cares. Game was over. Who cares. Don't risk injury.
  16. Funny how elite quickness in college doesn't translate in the NFL. NFL offensive lineman are too good. Power at the point of attack is what is needed.
  17. Protecting against getting beat deep and getting run over are not the same thing. One is a reasonable strategy. The other is getting beat because they are small and soft in the front 7.
  18. Some of us are not fair weather fans. We point out good and bad. What is really annoying is when you post a critique of the team or a player the rose colored glasses crowd on here blasts you for not being a fan. The reality is the folks like me and others who were skeptics of McD, Edmunds, the pass rush, and the more difficult schedule got vilified after the 4-0 start. All that said the season is young. McD will get his chance to prove himself. They still are my pick to win the division if McD can beat Belichick. But I will say this, he preaches character and toughness, and where do you see that on display? No where. He has built a team of physically soft players. Go watch that Tampa defense. Every guy is 10-15 pounds heavier and more physical than every player on the Bills defense.
  19. Buck its not a false start. Its not a play that gets shut down. I stand corrected
