I can't remember who said it, maybe Dilfer did. NFL play is like 80-90% doing the same thing over and over consistently at a high level. And then sprinkle in a few magical or great plays. ie. Hit the 8 yard out pattern at a very high rate so your team does not get behind in down and distance on a play the defense was going to give you.

Low draft status and by all reports very poor performance in training camp I agree, it would not be difficult to upgrade beyond Barkley too. That said if Allen goes down for an extended period of time it's hopeless.

Agree they should play a base 4-3. Their RBs and TEs are not a threat in the passing game. Big running backs are best stopped before they get going. Run blitz with our safeties and expect White ands Norman to hold up on the back end. Then penetrate into the backfield. Oliver needs to be active penetrating and create havoc in the backfield. As others said, get a lead early and hope they abandon the run game

I've been in favor of adding a pass rusher. I agree that looking for depth at LB or CB may be just as much of a need. I don't know the rosters of other teams that well to pick names. I'd start to pick over the corpses of franchises like Atlanta, San Francisco, Denver, or Cincinnati that have seen their seasons go to hell.

If the media is accurate in describing it as a compound fracture then that means it broke the skin and is not a clean break. That complicates the healing process quite a bit. Sometimes the media gets confused and perhaps they meant he broke both bones - the tibia and fibula. There is no tibula - it is the tibia(shin bone) and fibula (non-weight bearing)
