Game week thread - Bills at Panthers
Ethan in Cleveland replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm more depressed seeing Atlanta only score 10 points. This Bills team has massive issues in all three phases of the game. We have all probably vastly overrated this roster due to Allen bailing them out over and over. We are now seeing just how poorly the roster is built and how pedestrian at best McDermott is. So of course, I just bought my tickets and flying down for the game! Any Charlotte TBD members with good restaurant recommendations? -

Tickets are ridiculously expensive for this game. Still holding out purchasing... -
The Refs and this “rigged” league
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I dont understand. If the game is rigged how come the Chiefs lost the SuperBowl? Also if you conspiracy people really think the game is fixed, why do you keep watching? If you really belive what you post then have some conviction and stop watching NFL. -

Kirk Cousins would be first choice Mac Jones seems to be doing well in a new environment and could be an option. He was decent in New England as a rookie before it all fell apart. If the QB class next year had a few stars I would say try and draft your QB. But at this point I dont even see a single college QB that has a first round value. Their last draft is looking very good right now outside of the QBs. With one more draft he can completely rebuild the o-line, get out of the Watson contract with a post June 1 cut, and maybe chase Cousins. They don't have any key free agents that I know of right off the top of my head except their TE. And he has been injured every year including this year. They also got unlucky with a very good OLB having a neck injury that is probably career ending. They had a brutal first six games but now they have Raiders and Titans coming up. They could be 4-5 by mid November. -

Nah their o-line is atrocious. They may need 4 new starters next year. Next years draft for QB is terrible. They should take two bookend tackles and a WR with their first round and second round picks. Then try to get lucky with a veteran reclamation project like the Colts this year and Vikings last year. -

Browns D is the real deal. Lots of talent both young and experienced on that side of the ball. QB still sucks. He looks completely overwhelmed by the NFL. -

McDaniel has to be fired this week They need to move on from Tua and blow up the whole team Some team should trade for Waddle and Fitzpatrick -

Jags are a complete fraud. Colts going to win that division and get #1 seed -
Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!

I don't think you could go wrong drafting an Ohio State WR every year somewhere in your draft...they are 3 and 4 deep every year and have been for the better part of 3 decades. Same can be said about LSU, but dam the Buckeyes 3yards and a cloud of dust is ancient history - though they still develop a ton of great running backs too... -
The Athletic - some grim stats (new Tim Graham piece)
Ethan in Cleveland replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tampa's defense won that SuperBowl. KC was missing both starting OT's. The defense had 3 sacks and 10 QB hits. Brady threw for 201 yards. Both Tampa RB's were over 5 yards per carry. -
Is Joe Brady the main issue on offense?

He was broken The radio guys in Cleveland sounded so sad this morning. Even before last night one of the players was quoted as saying he didnt know what the feeling of winning was like anymore. The despair of not having a capable QB is so overwhelming. Odd thing is, Flacco sucks. He is a turnover waiting to happen. He just caught lightning in a bottle with great WRs and a terrible Steelers defense that he probably knows better than anyone in the league. He will probably throw 10 INTs in the next four games. -

Wow this board has a short memory... 17 years of no playoffs Starting QBs that had not even looked at the playbook Back to back 2-14 seasons 20 straight losses to the Dolphins The Browns are a mess right now but just like the Bills for the 17 year drought, they have talent. During their terrible run they had one of the best LTs of all time playing for them. They now have a first ballot HOF DE. And yes the Bills may not have released a future great QB, but they let Lynch walk out the door and become a star in Seattle and win a championship. And let's not forget about future first ballot HOF Jason Peters getting traded away... -
Some rules that I think are dumb

If a team commits two penalties on the same play, why does one have to be declined? Mark off the yardage for both -
McDermott apologists never find fault with the HC. Those of us that believe Josh will win a Championship despite McDermott, can still point out his flaws and bad games. As someone else said, Allen self corrects. He will be fine. If not we are screwed. To date McDermott moslty has not self corrected with the notable exception of getting rid of Dorsey mid season.

This a a great take. You are correct. He can't seperate from anyone except Tre White in training camp. And as you said that is more than just straight line speed. No idea what Beane saw in this guy at FSU.

We have seen enough to know we have seen enough... Coleman can carve out a ten year career as a #4 WR. He will never be even a good #2. He simply does not have the speed to win in the NFL. If they are going to continue with everybody eats, well then Coleman should not be force fed the ball like they are doing now. People complained Diggs was targeted too much. Lol. He was a top 3 WR in the NFL. That was always a stupid argument.

1 year anniversary of Amari Cooper trade
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was a good trade. He woudl still be the best WR on the team right now. Would take him back for a 3/4 season rental again if no other trades can be made. Beane needs to swallow his pride and realize Coleman is no better than a WR#4 in this league. Josh needs help. Cooper's presence last year opened everything up and he had the three of the best WR plays of all last year.
