Yes and he blew out his knee. He was 4th QB taken and they have a win now roster. Why not take a chance on one of these two guys to let their be a QB competition.
-
Would it be crazy for Minn to draft QB?
-
Sadly I think you might be right
-
yeah and you might get more from the Giants to leap the Browns
-
And he isn't that good. Team lost all faith in him after the injury. Did next to nothing in the playoffs. They need another WR in the first two rounds.
-
Called a trade with Browns yesterday. I just thought at least Pittsburgh would take one of the other QBs
-
you would trade up for a safety???
-
Cmon man, you know he was traded to Dallas right?
-
Nah. Cleveland will outbid the Saints and Vegas to move up and get him at the end of round 1
-
If either at available at 30 we are trading out. If Pittsburgh takes Dart over Sanders that will be the biggest story of the draft night. Then a bidding war for Sanders at the bottom of round 1.
-
Wow Egbuka at 19 is another reach. This will go down as one of the worst first round talent pools in the last 20 years.
-
Hmmm who predicted that yesterday???
-
Rushing the passer is the answer not another safety. But I agree Hamlin and Rapp could easily be replaced. If Bishop can't start over one of these two he will be a bust.
-
Mini run on EDGE and DT. Those that wanted a CB at 30 probably will get their wish... This first round is do bereft of top end talent. Ward wouldn't have been in the top 4 QBs last year and Hunter may have been the 4th best WR. Grant at 13 is a sig reach.
-
Yeah if Clark was 4 inches taller, 20 pounds heavier and just as fast.
-
They've had chances before. 5 first round QBs in 25 years and 3 wasted first round picks on Watson. Tim Couch Johnny Manziel Branden Weeden Baker Mayfield Brady Quinn Bad trade for Jacksonville. Never liked Lawrence. Just don't see him carry a team like other top QBs. Good value for Cleveland. Cleveland has now effectively already given up on 2025 and will waste another year of a HOF DE they just gave a $160M contract. And again, their GM has been awful in the draft.

Can't wait to listen to Cleveland radio in the morning. They traded back and got a DT. I think the fan base will go nuts. No QB. No elite talent at WR or RB. Rapidly aging and expensive OL. They let the GM that made the worst trade in NFL history with a very spotty draft record, try to rebuild with no answer at QB. There is a very good chance that Berry and Stefanski won't even be around next year to use that 2026 extra first round pick.

A friendly reminder: DONT TIP PICKS

Someone tell ESPN no cameras on players talking to the team and hugging their family before Roger has hugged him on stage!!!! -
All Gunner's Draft Stuff.... 2025 Edition!!!
Ethan in Cleveland replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree with Gunner there are probably only 15 guys with first round grades. Would be unwise to move up for a second round talent. Only upside is the 5th year option. Best to stack picks in round 2-5 and trade away some picks to move around in those rounds or get some picks in 2026. -
Steve McMichael from the 85 Bears now in hospice care

Sad. ALS is the worst -
Neither. Both guys are the product of one of the weakest top end talent drafts in the last 20 years Cam Ward might not have been even the 4th QB chosen last year. Sanders probably would have been a 2nd round QB. Hell he might still be this year. Hunter also would have probably been the 4th WR taken last year. As a pure CB he's probably a mid to late first round talent. Much closer to White than Sauce. Carter is not even as good as Parsons and he was taken 12th.

Remember how the final drive of the season didn’t produce any points while Cook was on the sideline. Remember how he scored a TD by sheer will on 4th and goal. He’s an elite RB. He should get paid. At worst he is 4th best RB in the league and he doesn’t have the injury history of McCaffrey or Barkley and is far younger than Henry. He’s the second best player on the team. He’s far better at his position than Rousseau, Oliver, and Bernard are at theirs. Only a previously healthy Milano, Johnson, and maybe Benford are comparable. Beane wastes millions on terrible players like Epenesa and two PED cheats. Pay Cook and draft defensive line.

Really weak class and the voters still managed to really screw it up. Eric Allen and Jared Allen should not be in. I can live with Jared (not that Jared), but I can't believe Eric Allen even made it to the finalist round. Kuechly should have been voted in. How do you let Zach Thomas in and not Kuechly? They have virtually identical career accolades and I think Kuechly was actually the better player. Luke Kuechly 7× Pro Bowl (2013–2019) 5× First-team All-Pro (2013–2015, 2017, 2018) 2× Second-team All-Pro (2016, 2019) Zach Thomas 7× Pro Bowl (1999–2003, 2005, 2006) 5× First-team All-Pro (1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2006) 2× Second-team All-Pro (2001, 2005) I realize their is a bias against special teams and I don't believe Steve Tasker belongs in the HOF, but how do you keep Adam Vinatieri out? He made some of the most memorable kicks of all time. I said before Eli is not a HOF talent but he had HOF playoff moments and 2 SuperBowl wins. I don't see how you keep him out and just making him wait a year is sill. As for the WRs, I am ok with not voting in any of them. If I had to choose one it probably would have been Reggie Wayne. He's 10th all time in receiving yards and 7 of those years he had to share the ball with Marvin Harrison.

You know there is a difference between free agency and trades? As it stands right now there is not a dominant difference maker about to hit free agency. That could change. Strange things happen. But seems unlikely. So if you want a true difference maker then Beane needs to deal draft picks and get a star like he did with Diggs. Look at last years draft. Not a single player made a difference. 2nd and 3rd round picks barely played all year. Coleman had a couple good games. You can not expect the next draft to find a superstar that contributes right away. If you want that you need to trade some draft picks.
