Officiating college vs pros
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
I never understood why people think a sensor in the ball would be helpful. I mean almost every play the player is down and still falls forward. Goal line and line to gain calls are judgement calls when the player is down or when forward progress has stopped. Don't see a sensor helping. -
Random talking head says something about the Bills

And he really wasn't dirty. I may be misremembering that he hit hard but mostly clean. Plus you have to remember he started his career at CB before moving to the best or second best safety of all time. -

Deion is a top 5 NFL player of all time. His game was all speed. To the extent any CB is allowed to cover in today's NFL he would still be the greatest. He's the second best defensive player in NFL history after Lawrence Taylor and just ahead of Reggie White, Bruce Smith, Ed Reed, and Ronnie Lott. Laughable he would have KC and GB ahead of the Bills. Same for Denver, though they are scary. My Chargers AFC Championship game opponent prediction is looking awful now. That team has been decimated with injuries. -

Yeah you are correct. I forgot how high Kincaid was ranked. Sorry, just a bit frustrated with all the injuries. -

Yeah there is a kid at Ohio State that is the same way. Got away with a couple today but also had a couple of penalties in the Texas game and a bunch last year too. -

Ugh Kincaid on injury report now too.... What is the injury and when did it happen? Is it too negative to point out that the Bills could have drafted LaPorta who is bigger, hasn't missed games, and would not have cost them a draft pick to move up to take???? -
Not sure if this is of any interest but I thought the contrast would be a nice distraction. I've watched parts of 5 games today. I would say the general difference is in college there is more of a "let them play" attitude. They just missed or failed to call a blatant block in the back on a Texas punt return TD. No way that is missed in the pros. On the other hand, there seems to be so many ticky tack PI calls in the NFL. In the Ohio State Illinois game there were several no calls on PI that woudl have been called in the NFL. I think if they called it fair both ways, I enjoy the college attitude towards officiating. Call the blatant stuff and otherwise let them play.

It is rarely play calling. It is usually execution. Would i Like some more designed plays for Shakir and Kincaid - yes! But the players need to execute a simple handoff that is done at the high school level every Friday night Honestly Shaq looked a little slower last week than he did in the previous games. Not sure he can hold up at a high level for a full game. I'd probably platoon them, but McDermott has stated in the past he doesnt like to do that. -

Some changes you would like to see this week
Ethan in Cleveland replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let Josh go air raid this week and force Penix to throw often. Trust your MVP on national TV. Stop handcuffing him. Just get a win and then get to the bye McDermott is excellent out of the bye week and we get multiple guys back. -
His last name is Sanchez. You think the charges would be dropped in Texas or Florida??? His only hope is he was intoxicated or on some other drug. Then its involuntary. Await the tox screen which is back in about 2 hours in any hospital but for whatever reason is not released for weeks from the police.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46552852/nfl-nflpa-reviewing-giants-concussion-protocol-qb-jaxson-dart Will be interesting to see how serious they take this. It looked like Daboll was arguing with the independent neurologist on the sideline if Al Michaels correctly pointed him out. If a HC interfered with the protocol, could see fine or maybe even suspension. No matter it was a very bad look for Daboll. I dont think I've ever seen another coach or player for that matter enter the medical tent when a player was being evaluated.

LOL...and our 3rd round pick didn't dress for four games and was called out by the coach for not doing his job/not knowing the play last game. Like I said it's a lottery and I'd favor trading away future lottery tickets for a proven talent.

Coleman has now been disciplined twice by the coach for reasons we don't know. Where are all the posters that called Diggs a cancer and wanted him gone? Why so silent?
