  1. I have to disagree without having inside info. on his current status post injury. If he is deemed "FINE" I would definitely sign him. He'd make our offense much better instantly. I do agree Von Miller was a mistake, and will continue to be a mistake with his salary.
  2. Maybe No. 1 priority on the field. No. 1 priority within the organization should be to upgrade the OC. He's more important than even the O-line, which needs to be upgraded massively.
  3. I have been harping on this in many threads for a long time now. The no. 1 thing we can do to improve our team for next season is to replace the OC with an experienced one who designs plays on a MUCH MORE SOPHISTICATED LEVEL. Hiring a rookie for that job was a MISTAKE and he is not going to magically morph into something substantially better in one off-season. People have said this, and it sounds a bit out-there at first, but yes, we should have fired McDermott and made Daboll the head coach...and then keep him here for a long time. We would have a stable, much better, offensive scheme for Josh to work, learn, and grow within. We can get anyone to come in here and give us acceptable defensive coaching.
  4. Amen! Is anyone here stupid enough to think Terry Pegula is going to spend a nickel of his $5 billion net worth on that stadium? You folks are!
  5. NEVER TRADE UP. Trade down. I hope we do a lot of trading down and turn our picks into a bunch MORE picks. Talent is there all through the draft if you know how to find it.
  6. LOL; Jeremy and Sal are among the worst; the smartest is Schopp, though he's also highly disliked because he's self-centered, arrogant, and treats idiot callers like idiots. Howard was great, but for years now, he has missed a TON of time. He's always taking days off. I think his last day is March 3rd....enjoy him until he's gone. There really isn't anyone left in Buffalo sports radio talk worth listening to for the most part. I like Schopp a lot more than others, but it's getting to the point where ALL HE DISCUSSES is gambling aspects of sports, which I have zero interest in.. As a result, I've taken to the habit of listening to totally non-sports-related podcasts to fill my afternoons while working. Jerry used to do a segment every Monday with Schopp and Bulldog; I loved that. It was some of the best stuff Schopp and Bulldog ever did. The other great segment was Rob Ray doing 20 minute segments every day there was a Sabres game. He would tell stories about the old days and all the drinking/goofing around the guys did back in the day and it was fantastic. Of course, both segments are long gone now and instead we get gambling experts talking about how to throw your money away on sports. I've come to the conclusion I need to find other things to listen to; WNY sports radio ain't gonna do it anymore.
  7. Sounds like I occupy a lot of space in your mind. Funny thing is, I don't remember you! 😂
  8. Never knew Hunter was born on his dad's birthday. I was also born on my dad's birthday. Happy birthday.
  9. Tell Pegula to throw a bunch of money at him and get him in here...NOW. He can't be worse next season! If it doesn't work, go in another direction.
  10. Does this mean players don't really care about us, know about us, and think of us as part of the team? I'm stunned.
  11. Happy? I think he's soul was destroyed after that Bengals loss. He hasn't been here since. (That I know of). He's not the only regular to disappear.
  12. The best would be for a daredevil to do some type of motorcycle jump or something like that. You'd have to be able to set it up quickly, which could be a problem, but I'd be all over that!
  13. Without telling us why you say that, your comment doesn't really move the conversation forward. How is it bad? You think Dorsey will be significantly different in one off-season? Why? Perhaps you are suggesting he doesn't need to improve b/c he's great already? Who knows what you are trying to say!
  14. Maybe it was rigged in favor of KC. That's the beauty of paying off the ref; he has enormous power to alter the outcome of a game, especially if it's close. Calling a defensive hold can be done on any passing play, and if it's the right time, it will give the offense a free set of downs. That's if you want to favor the offensive team. Also, you can call an offensive holding call on any play, and that often kills drives. The officials have enormous power to alter games with just those 2 penalties.
  15. This is exactly correct! Physically, there was absolutely NOTHING Brady could do that Josh can't either... But what about what he did mentally? What about the mistakes he didn't make? What about the consistency? It's all that stuff that separates Josh from the very best in the sport. He's still a top 3 or 4 guy IMO, and that's still plenty good enough to win a SB with, or even a bunch of them.
  16. Regarding your last sentence, I also don't understand how Dorsey is supposed to evolve into a different, much better coordinator in one off-season. Sure, he probably picked up some experience here and there and learned some things, generally, but he's going to be the same guy next September. That's not good.
  17. So what does this mean exactly? I.E. if you are Terry Pegula and we don't get it done next year, you would move on from both Beane and McDermott? Just one or the other? Neither, but order the team to develop down a new path?
  18. It's been that way for a long time, that's why I wasn't so big on the Von signing. He just doesn't do enough to come close to impacting our win total. Unfortunately, the Bills administration definitely favors defense. And on top of it, the defensive guys they made a priority aren't particularly good!
  19. Sounds like you unfortunately still got stuck with about 15 minutes of garbage! It did not end! There were like 9 staged "events" that had to take place before the damned kickoff. It used to be the singing of the national anthem, and then we played football. Next year I am going to watch tape delayed so I can FF. IT is insufferable watching non-Bills game in a live format. There's more crap than actual football.
  20. You ask for one thing but I can't fire anyone? That's stupid. The 1 thing I would do, BY FAR, would be to get an experienced play caller in here to be the OC. And that would necessitate firing Dorsey. I think that is, by far, the 1 single move that would improve this team the MOST next season. Secondary would be to do anything that improves the offensive line. Third would be to get another stud receiver to share the burden with Diggs. This isn't rocket science. Last thing I would do is tinker with the defense.
  21. No one here thinks Josh is a liability. Josh is favored like that, likely, because he is perceived around the country as by far the best player on a team that doesn't have a lot of supporting cast. I.E., we would be nothing without him. That's a good calculus for determining who is the MVP. Mahomes has worse odds b/c there's way more talent to share the glory in KC, including Kelce and coaching.
  22. Slight regression coming our way next season, almost for sure. Will be surprised if we hit our win total and playoff "success" achieved this year.
  23. Without punishment for mistakes, there can be no accountability. Does punishment need to extend to termination? No, certainly not always. Though I'm not sure what other forms of it exist in a football coaching context. Failure to hit salary incentives in a K? Maybe.
